200m xp

Why is it that you can only go to 200m xp? I would have assumed you could keep going on forever in xp, why is it that Jagex puts the cap there? Is it a technical reason or not?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, what happens when you have multiple people at 200m xp? how do you raise in rank from say #2 to #1 if you both have 200m xp? is it not possible to?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just sparked another idea. Our characters seem to be reaching there max capacity (can only have 20 hours rooms, someone said that Jagex said that not much more bank space could be added, 200m xp cap). How hard would it be to expand the characters? couldnt they update there system to allow more character space and since they do backups every morning I dont see why this would be an issue. If something gets messed up they can do a rollback.

well you've seen it with fletching, multiple 200Mers there, but the first one there is #1 i believe. I think it would be difficult to make it past 200M, it'd take up a lot of space on a character.

I believe you can pass people up if you just keep going, you just don't know how much you have to do. If I remember correctly some of the top cookers have passed each other up.

XxxNeoxxX7 is rank 4... And N0valyfe rank 2? That's messed up. I think Jagex said that it keeps counting "undisplayed" xp after 200m, that only shows up in the ranks

but yea, id like to see them expand hte character files so that we can have 20 rooms per floor rather then 20 rooms per house. Then you can make a house worth while and people would actually do more with homes. for all the house room options then give they just dont give enough space.

The 200M cap doesn't even make any sense, it's not like it's a max amount a variable can store so it's not as if Jagex would be wasting space by letting it get to the max amount that could be stored in the variable they use.

If you're rank 2, another person rank 1, and you're both 200m xp, I guess you can always hope he gets banned for something. That'll work. :-k

an rs3 would be an expansion to rs2 really. Which would be good because if they developed a new system they may be able to increase the capacity of character space. They wouldn't whipe all the characters though, too many people would quit.

yeah, characters would have to be converted over, and so would items, this would also go along with the long ordeal of how runescape has amazing game strageties etc, but has horrible graphics compared to other games- if they could do it (make much better graphics) then the Jagex tower would get a couple more stories high :D
