my bet is that's a virus. And for you other people, he didn't admit that, because you can get viruses that do that MANY different ways. I would say get something like adblock or such and check for spyware, and protect your computer with an up-to-date virus scanner.

tyler, you basically admitted to the whole tip.it community that you look at dirty sites.

That's kind of gross.

No he didn't. He could have got a virus from Microsoft's website, you never know.

Um.. That's why I use firefox (above). Anyways, I think could be adware (you have forgotten?) spyware+Ad or a plain old virus. Use a (free if you don't have a pay) reliable virus and spyware checker to see if a program detects something.

yea firefox and its extensions own adblock plus and others. not to mention its indepth options to block such things, i would recommend firefox 2 for any1 over IE7

just search google for hitman Pro and let it check your pc for addware, spyware and virusses.

This add has nothing to do with jagex, it's because you've got adware.

And if you got adware you probably have spyware and virusses too.

You can get this by installing unsafe software (like toolbars or those funny "assistants" like monkey's or so), you can even get it just by surfing to some sites.

just use hitman pro on a regular basis.

Ewido Anti-Virus works perfectly. It comes with a free trial version to work with that would be perfect to get rid of almost anything.

Fire fox blocks every pop up form tip it, but the one in the binki. IT is just a bad thing to pop up when, my mother is sitting behind me do work. It is kinda hard to get a virus form just browsing sites, so you most likely have spy or ad ware. Just find a free progam like ad-aware. And get it off.

Get Avast (Free great anti virus.)

Spybot Search & Destroy, and AdAware. If your dad let you :P

And forgot. CrapCleaner (CCleaner) for removing junk on your laptop.

And that little question mark by them, get the code for the ad, and report it for inappropriate ad.

Moving this topic to Tech and Computers forum. You're more likely to get some help there.

I use a version of IE called MAXTHON that is very good at blocking any adds. Google and Yahoo tool bars are also supposed to be good at that.

Actually, in Jagex's site, it says you can't advertise on runescape.com with ads that make pop-ups come out on your computer.

It must be a spyware you got from another site.

Odd. I only get that popup in tip.it. I've been getting the popup while i use firefox portable on tip.it. I use the regular firefox though and i always got a popup which firefox blocked.

And no, it's not admitting to shady practices. Besides, if i did do that I'd do it intelligently sheesh [As in abiding to social constraints of admitting to it].

Interesting. I just realized the 'big difference'. My firefox portable is 2.0

However, on my regular firefox i havnt yet upgraded. Hmm...any magical firefox people here who could explain this? perhaps it's even a bug in the 2.0 popup killing feature.

Uhh. I just want to let you know. It's kind of a tendency to look at porn. I'm just putting it out there. It's a normal stage in puberty. Too much of it though, that's a bad thing. But, the way I look at it, everybody looks at it, it's just a normal stage.
