What's your horoscope?

Being a believer of horoscopes, I am curious what horoscopes you guys are. I can perhaps give an analysis of your character, and you can then tell me how much it relates to you.

The reason that I believe in horoscopes is that they have allowed me to know my strengths and weakness, and how I am unique. I'm not a person who believes in things easily, but the character analysis has convinced me.

So post away! ::'

PS. I am a virgo :P

Just a reminder, what I am going to analyse is *nothing* about your daily horoscope. It's an analysis of your character traits and what makes you different from the other horoscopes.

Horoscopes are meaningless and vague. None of the astrologists can ever agree, especially on sun signs.

They say things like "try not to worry about the money" and stuff and somsone might read that and be "omg thats so true" when EVERYONE worries about money.

I am a virgo too, analyse my character to see how accurate you are...

You and a loved one have the best relationship -- until there's a disagreement. Is there a way to stop the confusion and talking in circles? Think about the end result, and stop worrying about who's right.

For a start it doesnt specify what loved one, could be a partner or family member. And everyone knows that family members always have harmless little disagreements.

Something magical is making its way into your world. It is coming as fast as it can - but there are certain processes and protocols that must be honoured. In principle you understand this. In practice you are understandably impatient and anxious. It is as if you are being asked to take an awful lot on trust. What else can you do, though, other than to keep on trusting. Mercury's conjunction to Jupiter promises a rather brilliant breakthrough soon

Possible the most VAGUE thing ever written. And whats with the whole planetary rubbish, any person with common sense knows that the biggest electromagneting thing in the solar system is the sun and none of the astrologers ever talk about that, only the planets moving into each other or other rubbish.

My daily horoscope said I should avoid all sorts of risks because some planets are colliding. Just for the heck of it, I just went all-in with 2.7 mill chips on partypoker texas holdem and got 3 kings and wiped everybody else clean (who thought I was bluffing).

So you're of the belief that 500,000,000 people worldwide have the same sort of day every day?

I'd like to see an answer if you seriously believe in this stuff 8-)

They make horoscopes to fit to everyones life, for example "You might encounter some problems today". Heck, I could be a damn good astrologist, all I need to say is like: "Sun might shine on you today, if it's a clear day. If it's not, clouds might block the sun"

Some people get paid to write things like that. Money for nothing.

Indeed he is, that guy is something.

Anyway, on a more serious note for once, it really is very easy to make up predictions. Just watch a John Edward show and you'll immediately get it, if there's a little bit of skeptcism inside you.

All those fortune tellers/horoscopes do is tell easily convincible people things that are likely to happen, or just purely obvious.

I'm a libran

I read that and thought you said, "I'm a librarian," and I was like - what in the world?

Anyway - I'm a Leo because that's the most awesome one there is. I also read my horoscope everyday because it's funny. I also read the horoscope of friends and family so I can make strange comments to them during the day about their horoscope.

Just had the same problem when reading it. I think you should have some more sleep as well.

I have never heard of him before, I just checked him up. Wow, that old dude is awesome. Just read his biography on wikipedia, interesting read.

I especially like the "million dollar challenge" thing. I'll refer anybody who thinks he 'knows' supernatural things exist to that then. If they really think so and can prove it, they can have a million. Otherwise, they know they're lying and chicken out.

That million dollar challenge is nothing new, though.

http://skepdic.com/randi.html

That mentions all the other challenges to 'practitioners' of the paranormal, NONE of which have been collected.

A summary:

B. Premanand, offering 100,000 Indian rupees - not collected

Prabir Ghosh, offering 200,000 Indian rupees - not collected

Australian Skeptics, offering $100,000AU - not collected

Association for Skeptical Enquiry, offering ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã12,000 - not collected

Tampa Bay Skeptics, offering $1,000 - not collected

North Texas Skeptics, offering $12,000 - not collected

Scientific American, in 1922, offered $2,500 - no one collected

Hugo Gernsback, in 1930, offered $6,000 - no one collected
