Someone takes a ball of paper, crumples it up REALLY tight, and shoots it with a rubber band.

Sometimes people put staples in them -.-

Once you've done that, aim, and release!

Your my Clone! Me and my mates do the same thing at school and at Parties (and Sleepovers). Always fun, but can be a very dangerous thing to do when it gets someone in the eye.

why??

I remember doing this in like 5th grade, beyond that it seemed immature and just stupid...maybe I just grew up in a more, civilized environment?

thanks everyone for the sigs!

It may be a tad extreme, but I mean come on, how hard is it to resist flicking a rubber band at someone?

It depends on how many Wet Willies he's given you. :P

-but my school doesnt let us out when its lightning because of the 1 out of 200,000,000 chance that the lightning would hit us, and they would get a law suite.

[iNSERT "I R EATIN TEH SHIX ATM" BILL COSBY SIGNATURE GIF HERE, LOL]

I'd say it's a little extreme. It should depend on how badly the person hit is hurt.

Anyways, you know paper wasps? Some of my friends have these rubber bands with them, and just some extra paper. Mass firing is fun, and we have never hit someone above the waist, and never hurt someone. (As in make them cry/go to a teacher)

I disagree with that. Isn't that like saying, "Oh, he only stole a pack of gum. Let him off with a warning."

I've never flicked a rubber band at anyone, mainly because I've had it done to me and it hurts... I wouldn't do it to someone else. :(

Yeah. Your school's policy is a bit... extreme though. But, that kind of behavior can have very serious consequences.

Yea, my school does get a bit extreme sometimes with punishments. An example that I had is last year when I shut the lights off in the gym they gave me 2 extended detentions (You have to stay after for like 2 hours), just so happens that they scheduled the detentions on the same days of baseball tryouts. So I skip detention and go to baseball, get suspended for 3 days and still have to make up the detentions. The principal in my school grabbed one of my friends last year and my friend pushed him off of him and got a 45 day suspension...

It may seem a bit extreme, but it really is sodding annoying when you get hit by one of the things. The policy will be so strict so as to completely eradicate rubber band flicking, zero tolerance. Probably for the best really.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

I knew a girl who was blinded by a rubber band. Maybe the rule is extreme, but it's for a good cause.

And the fact the school can be sued by disgruntled parents :ohnoes:

I dont do it, i just did it that one time when it came back at me and hit me. I'm actually saying that its not cool. I got hit with one that had a medal thing on it in the back and i seriousley stopped breathing for a second. I didnt get a chance to see the person but i would have told someone about it. On my back there is a red mark.

Take your revenge with this simple but brilliant "wet pants" trap in your school's mensroom:

masterplanuf3.png

Make sure that the pipes press the handle hard enough. It's so much fun when somebody actually falls in that.

I made that in about 8 mins, so that's why it looks so simple...

Is that a toilet? or a sink?

I've never seen one fo these on a school sink. Very devious though! Just imagine alll those wet pants...

I suppose that punishment is a little extreme..

I know at school I can be quite immature, just to pass the time but I've never been punished (other than being yelled at). I usually hang out with a close group of friends for about an hour before school in a hallway that doesn't get much attention. All too often we can be found throwing something at each other. One day it was candy, another it was milk cartons, and not too long ago it was a bagel. I get yelled at all too often for numerous reasons, but I have to say I'm glad I don't go to your school. Me (and quite a few others) would probably be expelled.

Two stupids don't make a smart.

At my school we only get suspended for 1-3 days for all out fighting. Rubber band shooting: the class would laugh, teacher may have a little s[racist term], if it became a problem she would tell the kid to stop then the kid would :P

The problem is that we now live in a society that likes to apportion blame. If someone got hurt with the rubber band, their parents/guardians would be up at the school like a shot asking why it was allowed to happen. Those of us who work in schools have to enforce seemingly silly rules to cover ourselves.

Depending on the parents, they might sue the school for having an unsafe environment.

the 12th class here at my school smashed the main door's glass just because the ceo of the school or watever took the students' mobile phones cuz its *illegal* to take mobile phones to school....

but he still doesnt know who smashed it

LOL
