I agree with the lock button, and I'd love for Jagex to do that for us. However, the way I had it described to me by one of the staff members, was that it would probably cause Runescape to "blowup" or at least the coder that was doing the coding lol. It's some serious coding involved.

for suggestion 2(I couldn't really tell if you already did this) have 2 screens (like for trading): the first one is the normal old one, but when you click on a rule, it takes you to another one (for categories)...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and, for the 60 secs before and after thingy: maybe record a little less before and 10-20 seconds after (because maybe they didn't mean to scam and they're going to return it)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the other idea ("Luring is not scamming", "that's not yours to take") is good too, but newbies who don't know what luring is might get lured... like, someone says: come with me to lvl 40 wild and I'll show you! ...but I'm probably underestimating them.

I remember exactly the same topic on official RuneScape forums. While it's all quite nice, suggestion 2 has a major flaw: reporting becomes more complicated and because of that it's way harder to send the report within the 60 seconds. While you're busy filling in the report abuse form, a minute will pass and your report will no longer contain any evidence. That's pretty useless to give so much information on the type of abuse while Jagex staff needs to see the evidence anyway. They will see what exactly happened. Why should I be bothered with choosing what type of offensive language they used (even typing it in the "please state" space?!) when it's clear enough without such details? Including this won't help Jagex.

Yes, I agree that suggestion #1 will make it less complicated.

 

 

 

but a trick i learned is to add the player that you want to report to your friends list, and click the report link with your friends tab on.

 

 

 

Once there was this guy, his name was like hiiiiiiiii29.

 

 

 

and I had such a hard time trying to figure out how many i's there were. In that situation, suggestion #1 wouldve helped lol. What I had to do then, was first to add him to friends through public chat, then try and add his name again to my friends list through typing and guess how many i's there were, and if it said "Hiiiiiiiiii29 is already on your friends list", then i would know how many i's there were lol. And reporting someone should not be that complicated!!!

i support you too but one think i dont know if its been said already but luring is against the rules as it is giving faluse information to someone in order to get an unfair advantage over them and on the rs forums one of the admins has posted saying this is against the rules
