Wakka's Rune Mining Method

Imps only bring 2 of them. You bring 26 imp boxes (2 spots for the rune ore) 26 x 2 = 52. + that other 26. so 78 Rune ores from 26.

Only problem with that is that your prayer will run out if you have no prayer potions, so you'd have to sacrifice some boxed imps for the prayer potions. Otherwise, the dark beasts will kill you easily.

At your prayer level, you'd need 1-2 with the boxed imps, but at a lower level (say 60) you'd probably need more. If at some point I get a little extra time, I'll try to figure out about how many you'd need based on prayer level/bonus.

I thought you might want to know that people I run into there (and in ardy bank wearing combined initiate and mourner's with a pick in their hand) are starting to call this "Wakka's Rock" (heh heh). Happened twice now. Funny how many people cruise the Tip.It forums, but it's still not overly crowded (yet).

Once I finally get round to getting 85 mining and questing a whole lot more (soon hopfully :P) then this will help me financially :D

 

 

 

Awsome method, even if it does become busier surely it can't be as bad as heroes! I've never seen an ore there when i go past to charge glories (I like to have a peek :P)

Nice guide Wakka, this is one of the reasons I decided to get 74-85 mining. I hope there's still something to mine by the time I get 85 :ohnoes:. But if not, I still plan to get 99 fletching and what better place to alch 20k+ bows than next to rune rocks \?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Edit 3-26-07: I got 84 Mining today and decided to stout some runite according to this guide. I got 21 ores in about 30-35 minutes and only ran into 2 other miners :D . I did this at about 2:15-2:45 PM GMT. This is still the best place to mine runite if you're not alching since it beats getting pked :wall:. I don't think this could effectively be done when the Americans are home though :( .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Edit 3-30-07: Got my 85 Mining yesterday \. I started alching next to the heros guild rune rocks switching worlds when both ores are mined. Compared to what I expected/feared it's been RAINING RUNITE . On the first trip I got 24 ores in about 1140 alchs. Second trip I got 23 ores in 729 alchs. Heros guild is hands down the best place to alch while mining rune.

I agree, if you want to alch while you mine, heroes guild is the best place. However, Rune mining is not the best thing to do while alching. But, I'll keep that part to myself. Besides, most players can't do it anyway.
