Lubbock. The home of Buddy Holly. Rich museums, a beautiful university, and some decent culture.

Bad sides: Unless you don't mind repeats, it can get boring.

Good things: Many songs have been written about Lubbock.

The King Cotton March by John Phillip Sousa.

Just about any song by Buddy Holly, since they all take place there.

Lubbock is the city in "The Day The Music Died"

"Happiness is Lubbock, Texas in your rearview mirror" by Mac Davis

Among many others.

Lubbock is also home to the largest Rock and Roll museum in the United States.

-Did I mention there's too many emos?

Sydney NSW, Australia.

Likes / Pros:

- tourism: Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Bondi & Manly Beach, Blue Mountains

- weather: always superb

- education: better than average

Dislikes / Cons:

- Sydney seems to be divided into four quadrants based on wealth distribution and level of education - each with its own distinct mix.

- transport: rail system is awful. Our ferries keep crashing into things.

- property inflation. It's nearly unaffordable to live here.

- infrastructure: roads are terrible.

I can't think of anything else. It's hard to criticise and even compliment the environment you've been brought up in.

A majority of Canadians are full of themselves because they think this is the best country in the world. Mind you, they are also the ones on welfare and complaining how immigrants are stealing their jobs.

If you immigrate to Canada, and you were educated in another country, your education counts for absolutely nothing. So basically, you either learn here and make a crappy over-taxed living or come here and have to start your entire education all over again.

I do like the winters when it actually snows though.

I never met anyone who said 'Canada's the best.' It sure is one of the 'better' countries, but not exactly the best. What country are ya from Grim?

Romania, but lived here for 7 years now. I'm surprised that you've never met them.

There are quite a few people around here in Cambridge who are like that. Of course they go to my school and are idiots.
