Loads of people on this thread seem to have done the same thing, but a few of the words you're saying are wrong.

Bathroom->Loo, The Toilet - I've don't think I've ever said loo in my life.

Garbage Man->Dustman - Well, dust-bin man. (Since when has my bin been full of dust... hmmm...)

Horny->Randy - Not true at all, they are two different words.

Line->Queue - We say both over here.

Umbrella->Brolly - Lol, I think you'll find brolly is short for/a nick name for an umbrella  Call it a brolly and you're either very camp or a 60 year old woman. :P

I never really got what "knickers" are. Are they underwear?

I'm American and I've never heard someone refer to underwear as "pants". :?

Apparently, here in America, Jelly, Jam, and Preserves are three completely different things. Jam may = Preserves though. I'm not sure.

here in england we speak proper english! and underwear is pants! and trousers are trousers....

Golf > Cricket > Else.

I'm only 16, but I love a good cuppa. :P

Ugh, I hate cricket. I can never figure out how to play that game.

In England, they have football hooligans.

Fizzy drinks = Soda

Us British people don't really have a word for soda, unless you say 'pop' which is a bit colloquial.

I say bloody this or bloody that a lot, mostly I've been influenced a lot by UKers. In America if I say 'bloody' people look at me weird. In Russia I usually say glupiyi.

the russians are the best! Hands down!

:wall: Why? There is no fire involved. That one has always puzzled me.

But your "flashlights" don't flash. :P

Ah. Yes we can make them flash by turning them on and off! :D And, when the batteries start to die, they do flash.

Your "torches" will never become fire! :P

You're both way out.

The reason they are called torches are because in early-life, they used fire on the end of a rod or stick of some sort. Ever seen Tomb Raider? Even Lara Croft uses them to go through tunnels.

Therefore, I think both of you can now see where the term Torch comes from? It's an electrical alternative.

End of arguement. :P

New sig to come!
