ValaraZ
With small alterations to the inventory it could be made so that you could last there for 100 minutes aka 5 super antis amd 1500 darts. I'll addmit that it should work for entry but i wouldn't choose a setup like that and i prefer to use a suicider in the first place on solo and duo trips. To me it drains too much resources i can and would use later on. Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant: "If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor. mario_tpop
90% of the trips I do have 1 mage. I have checked their invens many times and they never have more then 4 sara brews. You get tons of food drops down there and if need be you can just heal on the spinos instead of killing rex since you dont have a group relying on you to get rex off them. As you do Dk's more and more your inven is ever changing. As for my hybrid inven it has changed probably 5 times majorly in a month. Most people find their own set up that works for them. What the heck are you talking about? More Sara Brews the better. Mages need not continuously pray like the Range/Melee Hybrids. Actually i find that when I go solo taking more sup restores and less sara brews, then protecting from mage, i last alot longer, this is for several reasons: the spinos don't hit with mage ever and so don't drain prayer, which is with veracs about the same rate as a protection prayer, the spinos won't hit through barrows armour often anyway with their range attacks and so spinos damage is nearly nonexistant, meaning you virtually NEVER lose health, meaning you only ever have to leave when you are out of prayer, which is a LONG time if you take pleanty of super restores. I believe the words you are looking for are "I got told". ~the plumber of pain~~currently - training range (when i'm online)~[heres my 99 mage vid! summoning charm guide: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=5641302#5641302

ugafan_2009
Whats with so many sara brews if you are using guthans? To me the trimmed skill cape 4+ pray and keep on mage praying and take about 3 brews and rest super restores works a lot better. 91 mage 95 def and still those mager thingies just plain kill me if i don't mage pray. and about the shield, what kind of range defence does obsidian shield have compared to granite one?Defense is exact same. Obby shield is +5 strength though. I'd go with granite as it is cheaper. \ Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651
Captainkidd
I like the guide it helps alot just theres one problem, with the item sub list. Most people bring archers ring and fury with crystal bow and barrows gloves, any subing of them would lower your kill per run rate buy alot. I suggest you make the list into this because its really only the things that can be subbed. Guthan > Verac > Torag with whip Seers ring > Archers ring > Wealth Crystal bow Fury > Stole > Glory God cape > Fire Cape > Trimmed skillcape > Obby cape/Skillcape > Legends Cape Crystal shield > Dragon square > Obby shield > Granite Shield > Rune kite Barrow gloves Infinity boots > Wizard boots > mystic boots > rune boots > range boots
Guest ejp2005
Interesting guide, I was just wondering if you could fill me in on these ""lurers". I guess they do something like lure a king over to you in the hope that it will kill you and they get your stuff. Other than that, pretty straight forward... purpieman2
great guide, its really useful. But its harder for me to find one to help me throught the door than getting a team.
moonman190
In the Killing Rex pic there are two other guys who look almost just like you... timeoutsmad
I agree with manoman. On solo trips it's best to take around 8+ sara brews. You get owned too quickly by the spinolyps when soloing and just constantly healing with guthans wastes time. But you also need to pray so you don't waste any prayer points when you pot a super restore to get back you your original mage level. Nice guide, put more pics in it when you get back members. Pics are good :) And for 1k darts I usually use 2 super antis (4) Fire Cape > Trimmed skillcape > Obby cape > Godcape > Legends Cape IMO god cape > fire cape > trimmed skill cape > obby/reg skill cape > legends Without god cape and all the melee armour and shield you end up with so low magic attack that you fail quite often. Just a few things I wanted to point out but overall it's a good guide  <3 fastforce is correct. The less time you spend healing the more kills you get in and a lot of times you can heal as fast as they hit you. CampbellMC who do you dk with? lol DK Drops: 65 Rings, 9 Muds, 44 Axes, 8 SeersDragon Drops : 2 Chains, 2 Legs, 2 Skirts, 9 Meds, 6 Halves, 1 Spear, 20 Axes, 9 BootsGod Wars Drops : 3 B Hilts, 1 Z Hilt, 3 B Boots, 1 A Skirt, 1 A Chest, 4 B Tops, 1 B Tasset, 1 Steam, 7 Shards
AirlessWig
All the good dkers respond to this thread, 2.5k views, never exspected it as it was something i wrote for a few of my clanmembers and just posted it here. Time, it's just how I do it, Always seems to work fine, and I solo when not much people are on, slow respawns BUT no lurers, gives me a few less kills but I feel way safer. Hence i use only 900-1k darts instead of 1500 on busy servers. Guess this guide is made for empty servers because there is plenty of time to heal up between 2 rexes otherwise. I can see there isn't on a busy world. I don't know if I should adapt this, but people have different stats anyway, one will do better than another one. It's just a general guideline, for me, at my combat, this setup still works the best, but like with every other guide, the base is there, the rest is up to you for trial and error. Thank you for the replies though, appreciate it. Airless Click here for my guide on how to solo the D Kings
Kama
Nice guide. Short and to the point. I used to have a lvl 94 main with 94 mage and went to the kings all the time. I am 72 now and can only get there with a group now, but once there I can solo Rex about 10 times a trip. It is all about having the conficence to actually get down there in the first place. Once you are in place, it is all down hill. Check out the Runescape Investor blog
n64jive
decent guide, although I ussually rely on luck to solo..or just find a world with a team on, and ask em if I can x-log, and they ussually don't care... Here is my set up: Trade D-hide for karils, trade tele-grabs for more super restores and sara brews...also I only brought that many sharks this trip due to the fact that I was out of brews or something... saber_blade222
hey these are my stats and i've been able to solo rex fairly easily. as long as you know what you're doing and you're wearing decent things yous hould be fine: str, att, and def: 72 hits: 71 magic: 76 ranged: 56 prayer: 54 i use slayer dart Feel Free to Pm me for anything
crewserv1
Umm pretty nice guide, for your lvl, i would consider putting some details for maging rex in a solo encounter. Hey peeps the safe spots u saw on pic for rex -mage, are now all messed up. Jagex fixed the way rex approaches to the enemy. It no longers goes horizontal and then comes vertical. It goes now vertical first and then goes horizontal. :x Can tell ==last trip was a mess. :wall: Quitted after getting 10 d axes,3 bersekers, 4 warriors- only form rex. Vann
I have never solo'd, but i normally go with a friend who suicide/hybs... they kill 1 or 2 prime/sups then tele. and i solo mage rex from then on. I might take a rune c'bow and some diamond bolts and try ranging prime and maging rex... i have only been on 7 mage trips and ended up soloing 5/7 (including my first one) because: a) something goes wrong and my teamates tele B) i wanted to solo c) people die -.- I am starting to fall in <3 with DKs, but too bad for the jan update coming up. anyways, guide needs some work but it is a good start. 6/10 peace, dwarve P.S. everyone look at my last dk trip in rate this =) it was one of my semi-solo trips ^.^
