Look at the people going for 1-99 in days with a new skill. Do you really believe that Jagex likes that happening? You also made another point where you said that it should stay the same because other people got to 99 with it. Why don't we just take away every update that changed how we play? If they did it back then, then it's unfair for it to be easier now! While we're doing that, why don't we just get rid of RS2? RSC was so much harder! On a more serious note, It's too late for Jagex to do this. If they wanted this done, they should have done it a long time ago. I see an untrimmed thieving cape and i just think "pyramid noob didn't earn it" Which IS the general opinion of almost all the respectable thievers that didn't noob it away in pyramid plunder. Maybe I'm just overly defensive because I managed to obtain 84m xp in thieving without the pyramid and without the gloves of silence. But the same thing goes for combat and pest control. Maybe the xp per hour hasn't changed much, but its much more of a hassle to have to do this every 3-5 hours. honestly I think if they wanted to make it slower they would have nerfed the rocks not bother with water skins. My freind used PP and he worked his tail off, im not saying he went and pickpocketed 13mil xp, but he didnt get 99 like that, he actually did work for it. We both agree PP and PC should be removed, but do disrespect him and many others that way is disgusting! I don't care if its easier. to tell the thruth, 99 thieving without PP is absurd. Also, if you want to take a second, and look away from rs, from thieving paladins.. or whatever you do all day. think of the advancements in the last few hundred years.. telephones, cars, computers! calculators. i was in geometry today learing about SIN, COSIN, AND TANGENT. did you know a man wrote milllions of combinations for this? with no computer or calculator, and when you were in school.. you read through manuals and tables in your book to find these, and now i hit 2 buttons and get answer in like 5 minutes less time? Wow! want to call me a noob? and tell me do it the old, unefficent way? ok? got it? its like the real world, newer things come in, old ways die out obviously. Do you still send notes on a horse or do you use a phone? i hope you dont use a phone, poeple hundred years ago would probably disrespect youself like you do to ppl on here. oh, and yes, get rid of your computer, all of history didnt have this either. get my point? new technology comes out, people that used old technology dont complain about the time wasted on an older technique. But mining SHOULDN'T be that skill. Consider this: Mining is one of the most useful skills in the game. It supports all smithing, runecrafting, and some of the crafting skill. You get enen less smithing exp out of an ore than mining exp! For runecrafting, you get double, at most of the mining exp from mining the ess, but few self-respecting players mine pure ess for mining exp. Now, i don't think that miners should be wasting even more exp on granite, but they should be able to collect high level ores much faster at a higher level and therefore get faster exp! We need a skill that is harder to level. Maybe it could have been hunter, a skill with few uses, but it's too late for that. Proud owner of a Quest cape! Before, about 3 days ago, when you get to the mine, you didn't need Waterskins to survive. NOW, you do. Why do people powen-mine anyway? I mean, I think it's boring, you don't get anything of it. I understand the purpose (=lots of exp) But no-lifing in the desert is not appealing to me, just to get a 99 skill (or 85 in the case of mining). Sure, I want high levels as well, but I'll never do a boring thing as powermining to achieve it. Sure, call me un-dedicated/easily bored. I am. But I enjoy the game, and when reading blogs of people no-lifing in the desert powermining from 50-85 on granite (or somethinng like that) I deem it hard to imagine them having fun. At all. I don't find it sad it was nerfed, since I didn't use it. And Wakka102: I don't think it's unfair. Before cook-x 99 cooking was a lot of more clicking! Now people "powercook" semi-afk. I don't think that's dishonest, the game just changed a bit! Of course, you're looking at a personal opinion here.... Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
