I've never tried, but I don't think fire cape would be worth 8.8 mill or anything even remotely close to it. I know it's good, but I would never spend that much money on it (If i had that much to begin with :oops: )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, I've spent 0 on it because the only time I went in, I can right out because I didn't know if I would lose all my items there if I died. Really, I didn't even know what it was :oops:

Guthans - 12m (around there, I did the caves quite a while ago)

Sara brews - made for free, got ingredients from Miscellania and farming (used one per trip to pot up my hitpoints for jad)

 

 

 

Super restore - 10k x 1 per trip x 7 trips = 70k (used only one to restore lowered stats from sara brew)

13400k spent on everything. I ended up reselling the guthans for 1m more than I bought it. By the end, I spent less than 500k in total.

I haven't used any money on him... It's kind of sad, because at my level I should have at least attempted, but I don't wanna use up the money and then lose, because I know I will lose at least a few times. And knowing my luck, I'll lose it as soon as I get it :D . Anyway, I probably will attempt before too long, but I figure "Why stress about it?"

I've spent around 50k for supplies for fun trips. If you include the armor I bought that I tried it with, but sold later, around 13 mil

I'm trying again maybe during spring break since I don't have 2-3 hours to spare.

 

 

 

Around 10-15m wasted, didn't really keep track of bows/pots/equipment.

 

 

 

Wasting around 40 hours preparing and doing the caves. I get to Jad everytime...7 tries that I failed because of lag/ran out of time in rl. Over the summer and winter break, I manged to get it back, but as fate would have it, I lost it afking at magics. Hehe, guess that was the price for afking.

Let me get this straight. You dont always get the fire cape if you kill the last boss? Its random? You could have to beat the boss like 14 times?

No, killing TzTok-Jad always gets you a fire cape, its just that its very easy to die before getting to him, or in the fight against him itself.

Just a few mills ive tried 8 times and still no luck but it usually takes me about 300-400k a trip now, it's alot easier with bows only 180kea.

I probably took about 15 or so attempts at Jad, before I finally got it down. Easily have spent 10M or so on it, and the countless hours, about 2.5 per run. Unfortunately, the only way to practice on Jad, is by practicing on Jad. However, I will say, that fighting Jad, so far has been the most exciting and challenging thing I have found so far in Runescape, and getting the fire cape is definitely my biggest and most gratifying achievement yet. Also, you can just look write the cost of the fight caves off as expensive ranging XP. :mrgreen:
