Since my first try at getting the much sought after fire cape I have spent so much trying to get one. Today was my 7th go, and yet again, that darn jad killed me. After the first time of trying, I have got to jad every time but he seems to catch me out every time.

3.78 million on crystal bows

 

 

 

1.2 million on an archers ring

 

 

 

1.18 million on super restore pots

 

 

 

240k on sara brews

 

 

 

65k on ranging pots

 

 

 

2.2 million on veracs helm

 

 

 

170k on karils top

 

 

 

10k on snakeskin boots

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'll discount veracs skirt because I had that as a barrows drop, and Ill also discount armour repair.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So altogether (so far) I have spent the grand total of 8845000 gp on trying to get my fire cape, and I am still wearing an obby cape. I find this quite funny because at my level, I should be able to get one, I just lose it when that ugly mother appears in front of me.

Allot, after 14 times I got it. So I guess... round 20 mil, as I did buy veracs helm and all those darn c bows.

:shock: ok, maybe I don't feel so bad now. Do you get to jad every time now?

Guthans was being a girl (For a better lack of words) and not healing me.

 

 

 

My advice, make your own stuff. I'm sorry if that sounds blunt, but it's true.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For my attempt I earnt my own prayer potions by killing chaos druids. I earnt my own sara brews by getting a friend to make them with my ingredients. I merchanted stuff to buy the crystal bow recharge, and a few of my clan members donated some runes and super restore pots. Thanks guys XD

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What you also have to ask is: Why do you keep dying? Is it a connection loss? Is it a lack of skills? Or is it just bad luck?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep trying, Read some guides, keep at it.

I have spent 0 gp and don't care to spend any more.

Alot of money, 6m. I've only tried it 2 times and failed. Stupid game keeps crashing now and then.

 

 

 

Imagine what better things I could of got with that 6m. :(

Most of the time it's my fault due to clicking the wrong prayer and then failing to recover from the hit. But a few times he has spawned where I cannot even see him and I'm dead before I even get a good couple of shots in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I did get him to half life a couple of tries ago, then the healers come and I made a mistake and that was it, he slapped me silly :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will keep trying though, I've just got to have me one of those capes.

I spent about 2m though in total, aready had k top and full v, just need the seed and cbow recharges. Got it on the 4th attempt :

Well, enough to have two crystal bows and at the lowest recharge cost. So around 6 million. But the important thing is that I have my fire cape now, and I'll never have to set foot in that hellish place again (never taking it PKing, dhraoking, or DKing, very slim chance I'll ever loose it).

Took me about 6 tries, around 750k each try not counting the armor since I was going to keep that anyways. But it was definitely worth it :) .

I used like 1m max and got in on my first try.

It cost me 2.3mil to get 1 after 5-6 deaths on Jad :x . This included the total cost of repairing guthans, crystal bows, pots, and shark. Oh and I think the fight caves is evil now! and Jad....erg no comment on that meanie... :wall:

using full guthans of course and fury and ranger boots if you can afford them as well...so sell your rare and buy it back later

0gg. Never been attracted to the fire cape, always seems like it's more stress than it's worth.
