January 23, 200719 yr Basicly China just blew up a sattelite with a missile. Those more educated among us know of the space race between the U.S.A and the old Soviet union, and some people think that there could be a "space arms race". personally I dont think this will happen. And i heard about this a few days ago :o With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

It might have actually been over a week ago that this happened, because it seems like forever. Anyhow it was long enough ago for me to pretty much completely forget the details. More recent news in the "space race" (which I believe is still going on, just not quite as important anymore) is India successful mission with a reusable spacecraft. India and China are the two most populated countries in the world. They are pretty far behind in the race, but any step forward is bad for the rest of the world. They can easily become the superpowers of the future.

Yeah, we are definitely going in the wrong direction. We should be more worried about setting up space stations, and maybe a moon base. I'd like to see a moon base before I die, I think it would be possible before then.
