January 29, 200719 yr Its the process of learning farming. I call this process Fertilization 1) You see the skill, think it should be fun 2) You try the skill the way you try other skills and wait at the crops, only to die of boredom 3) You rant to Freshwacka about how stupid farming is 4) Freshwacka tells you ranarr/snapdragon farming made her 10m, and shows you your process 5) Your farming goes up 20 levels in a week 6) You enjoy farming Congratulations, you have opened your farming chakra. (5 Bonus points to someone who can tell me what show that is from) It came from the basic Asian concept of life energy? Dunno, that's what I'm thinking. As for farming, it's useful for herbs, but the concept of it just drives me insane. Seriously, I'd kill myself if I had to tell my parents I was on the computer farming. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
January 29, 200719 yr I think farming is a fantastic skill. A lot of people just go about it the wrong way, which is why they don't enjoy it. It's an invaluable addition to herblore and probably accounts for half of all herbs i've owned. It's very easy to level if you use tree seeds and earns you some healthy respect if you're a high level :)
January 29, 200719 yr Farming is what you make of it. If you hate it, then dont do it (just use ToG) If you want to learn how to like it follow Freshwackas guide and the lame naruto reference (im guessing) If you still hate it then dont train it, why train a skill you hate? ^^Click For Monster Hunting Blog (180M+ in drops)^^
January 29, 200719 yr Its fun that thieving or slayer and stuff came, but farming is kinda useless.... Could BE useful for some people who train herblore a lot. But i have also only herblore 45. Farming is useless. this is an akward thing to say. What does say slayer provide for you? A nice money making skill from monster drops, you can't argue that, right? What's farming? A good money making skill. This is annoying that people are ranting about farming while they haven't given a good chance. It takes a little getting used to farming, because its the most unique skill in the game imo. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
January 30, 200719 yr Something even stranger..... After all those posts yuo are not convinced yet of the profitability and the easyness of farming? Then we can't anything for you.... :wall:
January 30, 200719 yr Author Something even stranger..... After all those posts yuo are not convinced yet of the profitability and the easyness of farming? Then we can't anything for you.... :wall: I allready said before that im trainin farming slowely now. (catherby)
January 30, 200719 yr I have maybe farming 38 but thats because i do tears of guthix. I can understand some people that they train farming because the have all they're other skills 99 lol. But, why are some people crazy about farming? This is a fun skill to level in. But if you just stand around one spot and wait for grass to grow... you won't like it, you won't level fast, and you won't be a farmer. You gotta race the clock. Go to all the spots. 4 allotments, 5 if you did the quest. 4 hop places. 4 fruit trees. 4 regular trees. You'll start sparkling. You'll start seeing what you can grow next. You'll sparkle some more. You'll start seeing what herbs you want to grow and set your goal. You'll find uses for your produce. You'll enjoy the herb output. - Use supercompost for less disease. Some will die, but so what. You'll be so busy running around getting exp, it won't matter. - Have fun doing the mole, cutting trees, and other ways of getting tree seeds. - Get your thieving up by stealing seeds, and collecting them in your bank. Start saving all the herb seeds you get for future use. If you actually do it the right way, its very easy to get hooked on. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Be a nice player, and nice things will come back to you.I'm back, add me if you deleted me. :)
January 30, 200719 yr I allready said before that im trainin farming slowely now. (catherby) Don't just sit at Catherby and watch the grass grow. Run around! Get your travel route! Be a travelling farmer! You won't be able to keep up with it. Seriously. By the time you finish all your rounds, you'll have to steal more seeds because you planted so many. You won't be able to plant, and get seeds faster than the crops get ready. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! January 30, 200719 yr You won't be able to keep up with it. Seriously. By the time you finish all your rounds, you'll have to steal more seeds because you planted so many. You won't be able to plant, and get seeds faster than the crops get ready. And ironically, that's what first put me off! I used so many laws those first few days (but I got to 30 really really quickly) that as soon as I hit the high scores I gave up. Now, after a rather long absense, I have developed a route that uses up the few tree seeds I have, gets some decent xp from bushes, and grants me a silly amount of herbs, all for just one law!...... and some jewllery teleports, but I have around 100 Rings of Dueling, and more Games Necklaces for charging Glory's, so it's hardly costly. And my herblaw level loves it. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA
January 30, 200719 yr personally i hate it but i do consider it a great money maker and useful at high levels but i just dont like wasting time getting to and from my crops stupid forums lost my dragon count , well atleast i know i got a d chain from a dusty!99 Fletch, Late 0699 Mage, late 0799 Strength, 29th June 0899 Hitpoints, 21st August 08130/138 cmbsooo close
