dukemaskot23 Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 question: is fly fishing the quickest way to raise ure fishing lvl? i heard that a cupla times and i was wondering if it was true. i really hate waiting for lobs. btw i am now ftp as of yesterday, so i cant go to shilo village. I dont care that trout and salmon are useless, cuz all i want now is exp not money. I really need to powerfish to get 76 fishing. I bet this has been discussed many times but i failed to retreive similar topics when i typed in "fly fishing" in the search box thank you very much if you respond to this topic and clear up my confusion fyi: my fishing lvl is 74 edit: oh ya, can any1 give me a good fly fishing place with multiple spots in ftp? i dont care if its far from bank, as ill be giving the fishies away or dropping em, thx Which FF Character Are You? I went from 71-76 fishing in 5 days at barbarian village, glory teleing to edge then running down to fish. I didn't do shilo so that's why i was there. I've heard monkfish give close or more xp than sharks and are as fast as lobs. Try monkfish if you can get there, if not stick with lobs. Dexek Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 Yes, fly fishing is the fastest fishing experience. Since you said you are F2P, you should fish at Barberian Village. If you don't care whether you keep the fish or not, then try to get some friends to come and collect the fish from you as it is a lot faster to trade then drop. If you ever get membership, I advise doing the Shilo Village quest as soon as you can, due to the close bank to the fly fishing areas. Happy Fishing! I've met so many people going for 99 there, and a handful that have achieved 99 while I was fishing there. It's still faster than monkfish even at higher levels from what everyone I met has said.
