Which song has the best start, in your oppinion?

My choice:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Around the World.

(Click at the bar below until 5:28, to see it. He has just played a solo, I dont know the exact start at the video.)

(While browsing through YouTube I found this one, pretty amazing :) )

The bass is incredible, expecially when Flea played it live.

Intros I also like:

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to heaven

Metallica - Nothing Else Matters

According to my playlist titled "great intros"... :P

Can't Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Cabron - RHCP

Pinball Wizard - The Who

Money For Nothing - Dire Straits

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns n' Roses

Coming Back To Life - Pink Floyd

Misirlou - [bleep] Dale and his Deltones

It's an oldish playlist though, some probably aren't that great, and I need to add some more.

I'm sure we've had this thread before. I'll give it a searchicon_mini_search.gif

There is, but it's several months old, and was kind of dead. I don't have a problem with a fresh one.

Yeah neither do I, just couldn't remember what I put last time :P

Snoop Dogg - Ain't no Fun. I still laugh insanely to that, and G'z & Hustlas.

Tony Matterhorn -Start The Party, intro just gets me up on my feet and the only damn thing he said was tick tock... it just makes me want to dance so bad!

Cryptopsy - Phobophile

Freaking amazing piano enterence. You don't think anything of it until you get a small white noise in the background.. that grows..and grows into a dark guitar and then just EXPLODES. It's freaking amazing.

Mayhem - (weird) Pure ****ing Armegeddon

What else to describe the name but an interesting keyboard intro and then a chainsaw roaring in the background to start it off?

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

Although I love the guitar solo in it, the intro is quite amazing too. It brings such a doomy atmosphere to the entire song.

Dream Theater- Octavarium

Can't remember the isntruments name they use in the begining... but it sounds just.. wow.
