February 2, 200719 yr Is it necessary to post this? Edit: Before everyone flames me more.. I honestly do not remember posting this.. lol
February 2, 200719 yr Author Is it necessary to post this? Well for people that don't know about it I think it's pretty good to know. I mean it's good to see that jagex actually does something. Contains some interesting information. There are couple of more spammy threads out there so I don't see a reason why this might not be allowed.
February 2, 200719 yr It isn't against the rules to post your messages from Jagex? I thought it was. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
February 2, 200719 yr It isn't against the rules to post your messages from Jagex? I thought it was. It seems like a post on the forums.. 8000 a week.. Gosh. The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+.
February 2, 200719 yr Coming from Jagex, "macroing" can replace any word in the English language. Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.
February 2, 200719 yr Is it necessary to post this? Go to the rants forum where every 3rd post has autoers in the name. This is just assuring us that they are doing something to stop the autoer problem.
February 2, 200719 yr Nice to read. Of course the first post why there are only level 3 auto-ers (jagex is so quick to catch em) is uhm well not exactly accurate to put it mild. These level 3 auto-ers have all the time in the world to level their woodcut level up to yews (or fish level up to sharks), but no time to raise combat ? Hard to swallow that. I'd say they're only level 3 because there is nothing to gain (RS/RL-currency) from combat. Yes, I'm aware of the green dragons debate (provided those are autoers as well), but their combat is raised as a side effect to getting the valuable hides.
February 2, 200719 yr What a bunch of exaggerated crap. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
February 2, 200719 yr Does the "more updates are planned to combat autoing" worry anyone else? Are we due to see pure yews :ohnoes: Seriously though its nice to know they try, assuming that its honest of course.
February 2, 200719 yr Good info. I think this thread needs pinning. But, I digress. (BTW, do you have a "quick find" code?) ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)
February 2, 200719 yr *Quickly saves pic* And what they are saying is only partially true...8,000 a week I can understand...thats probably all from 1,000 people  IP banning - doesn't work...most SMART macroers use proxies... The code system can be un-coded, there are programs that can cut out patterns and then see raw (or close to raw) letters, I remember back in RSC when they did do that, back when I did macro, and there were programs around it. Banning mains and mules is definately done more-often today than was in the past, but still isn't always, there are still many 'untrackabe' ways to transfer that mains are not banned from, and don't go telling me there arn't; I survived the mass-ban (was it 15,000 in a day?) that many people lost their mains in, and I still have kept a few friends who continue to macro and get away with it. Their tactics have changed over the years due to better security on Jagex's part, but I agree, still more has to be done...the hardest thing to get around in the past was the sleeping bag...idk if macroers have gotten better since, but you used to have to run up to 3 programs per bot because of sleeping. Maybe bring that back? idk. I'll repeat this as I do after any post I made reguarding macroing: I do not macro and/or make/program macros. ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
February 3, 200719 yr hehe i was on the actual thread heposted that on, it was me that suggested the enter code idea, for when you have to create an account not ingame
February 3, 200719 yr I guess the Jagex team is doing the best they can. I for one, don't feel effected by macroer, but it looks like they're doing there best to get rid of the accounts and defend against the programs. Click here. If you go there good things will transpire.
February 3, 200719 yr I somehow doubt that they ban 8000 accounts a week for macroing, but yes, it is nice to see that they are doing something. But even so, I'm seeing quite a few macroers per day hacking away at those willows at Port Sarim. This is just what I hate about them- essentially, they spoil the fun of the game. Take a person with Level 60 Woodcutting or higher for example- there are so many macroers chopping down the yew trees that few can get at them, and thus, this person can't get his/her yew logs. It's pathetic really. I'm not affected by macroers etc. as such, as I get money from mining, but still, the majority of RuneScape players are affected by them, which makes their actions sad and unforgivable.

To be honest i doubt Jagex would lie about the amount of accounts that are being banned. What you have to rember is that macroers have scripts that create accounts, as the average macroers life is around a day before they are detected and banned. In this time they power chop to 60 and then get as many yews as possible and put them on a mule account and the yews are passed from account to account before they end up on the selling account and are sold.
February 3, 200719 yr i dont understand why if some1 is banned for autoing who is a member, they dont ban every account on that credit card. worse case scenario? 2 people living with the same famility brother for example, 1 autos 1 doesnt. both get banned.

February 4, 200719 yr I have a feeling this is going to turn into a discussion on macroing techniques. :? Private Chat Is Always On 10,183rd To 99 Fletching
February 4, 200719 yr With the amount of time I spend on the offical forums, I ahve seen this post before, and I have even quoted the same messages a few time when modding.... It's good that jagex are telling people how much they do, staying quite was not a good option, as it did not scare people out of trying. As for the IP banning thing, all though it wont stop the goldfarmers, and major autoers, it is still used, as it will get rid of alot of "players" who dont know how to change it. IP banning is a great thing jagex do, and although they have always done it, I only learned they did it recently. I alway quote this when people are ranting about "why dont jagex IP ban?"
