February 2, 200719 yr Yahoo or Google? Or maybe even Ask Jeeves, MSN, or other sites. Anyways, which do you prefer? I heard Yahoo is a better search engine, but I prefer Google's clean design. Me doing staff.
February 2, 200719 yr I've been using Google forever, so I just continue to use it. Like you said, a nice clean design.
February 2, 200719 yr I'm not quite sure how you could hear one is better. What would make it better?
February 2, 200719 yr Google FTW. I also prefer www.answers.com to wikipedia (although answers does incorporate wiki).
February 2, 200719 yr Yahoo is my start page for basic news (although I probably should change it to digg or something. I'm just used to having it be my start page for the last several years of using the internet). I do use google to search though. I'm more used to it.
February 2, 200719 yr google... though i believe many other search engines use google's basic search programme sorta thing. babelfish - level 180 60th placestrongguy - level 173 69th place
February 3, 200719 yr I like google, and dogpile. they are easy to use for searching, and dogpile has audio search. pixel sig and avatar by me.
February 3, 200719 yr I like google; less garbage to load on a page when you just want to search and don't really care about the news or the weather.
February 3, 200719 yr I don't get it. A discussion about search engines isn't that bad, why start the flaming over a ridiculous issue? Or do you prefer threads about american idol, personal issues and "how to take over the world" better? (Those all are on the first page) Also, I'm surprised nobody mentioned AltaVista.com. I used it back in 1999-2000 during the dotcom craze, google wasn't really that popular back then. ...Google does, today, easily return the most comprehensive search results to the user, IMO msn, yahoo and other search engines are pretty obsolete unless you're used to them/use advanced/deep search options often.
February 3, 200719 yr Cleaned up the thread of spam.. I'll give this thread one more chance :P - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

February 3, 200719 yr Also, I'm surprised nobody mentioned AltaVista.com. I used it back in 1999-2000 during the dotcom craze, google wasn't really that popular back then. I can't even remember what I used before Google. Probably MSN or Yahoo!. I don't know when those came out either though, and before those I am not sure what I used. I do remember altavista.com though. Actually, I remember thinking it was astalavista, which turned out to be a different, yet very interesting sort of site :P . Had some toys on their to play around with AIM back in the day.
