Yahoo or Google?

I use Yahoo. Works a lot better than Google from my experience.

but hey, what do I know about the rules. I'm not a mod

No, this doesn't belong in Tech and Computers, as it is an Off-Topic discussion - not a thread requesting help troubleshooting. Since at least some people seem to be enjoying this thread, I'll leave it.

google has videos. yahoo has a better search engine imo.

Google FTW. I also prefer www.answers.com to wikipedia (although answers does incorporate wiki).

Google FTW as well! I also love the Firefox Alt-Left Click add-on - to bring up the definition of any word you click on from Answers.com :)

Also, I'm surprised nobody mentioned AltaVista.com. I used it back in 1999-2000 during the dotcom craze, google wasn't really that popular back then.

I actualy used that back in the day too before I started using google. Awsome search engine :P.

I love their translator, it's God. :o O:)

Babelfish FTW!

I like both. Before Gmail, I used Yahoo! for mail and sometimes searching, and Google for searching. After Gmail, I've given up on Yahoo!. Google has nearly all the features Yahoo! has. And usual;y netter versions of those features.

I use Google, never used another one. Clean, fast and the ability to make your own homepage. Yahoo is too much USA oriented imo.

At least, I think that.

Clicky.

Ok, so it's a bad version of Yahoo, and this is actually better. :)

Me doing staff.

Google all the way for me.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

I've been using Google forever, so I just continue to use it. Like you said, a nice clean design.

same here :XD:

Yahoo tries to be so web2.0 when in reality its more like web0.9.

I hate googles features and services, they are bloated and don't work properly. They buy up good companies such as Flickr and delicious and mess it all up, some people may have read about the recent flickr controversies? And as for Yahoos humans rights and privacy history... methinks there's several people in china who will never be using yahoo again.

Back in the day, before I had DSL, I would always use Google because of its clean design.

Now, its a habbit.. and I continue to use it. I only use Yahoo for News Information.

Yeah, I think that was pathetic. It, like google, should have absolutely no obligations to release search histories retrieved from all chinese users to the government (they will very likely put people searching for 'dubious' terms on security risk lists, label them, or even make threats).

Does anyone use ninemsn or Windows Live?

I occasionally use nine msn, but mostly for links to channel nine shows, baggygreen.com the nrl site and to look at news and some videos.

I use google, but only because I have an account there. I mean, really, my XP computer has almost all the stuff as Vista computer has. Plus, I have the toolbar, and my webpage is hosted there. And I'm using bascially every one of their programs.

Even if google stopped being free, I'd still use it. I do try to help them out by clicking on some of the ads, though.

Thank the world for spell checkers.

Google > pretty much everything else combined. (except maddox and chuck norris)

Gmail, google docs, google spreadsheets, simple layout, no annoying ads, I love it. They just need to come out with their own operating system now. I'd be the best to buy it.
