I saw this used in private servers, but I know for a fact that the private servers are un-compiled runescape cache files, and these commands are in fact built into the game.

February 7, 200719 yr It's because the game thinks you're trying to type something like "wave:" or "glow1:" That's why if you pm someone with a colon as the first character in the msg then it will still be received

The :: pretty much is used for admin commands. Normal players can't use them, don't try. :XD: . Training my pure!

February 8, 200719 yr I think Jagex uses it to spawn items. Its not visible so that players don't see and so they don't look like idiots trying to do it themselves. Only works for jagex.
