OK, first off I'd like to state what this thread is for. Have you ever sought just one single item from a monster? One drop? Ever train for months so you can try and get it, only to kill a ridiculous number of the monster, and still not get it? Then this thread is for you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This thread is to discuss certain monsters that you just can't seem to get a drop from.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For me, it's skeletal wyverns. I literally have kill over 400 without a granite leg drop. I was seeing posts when BA came out of people getting two leg drops within 150 kills. And here I am 400 kills and counting and still, nothing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Am I cursed? I think so. It was the same way with my granite shield from trolls. It took me about 6 hours of killing to get. One of my friends joined me at one point, lvl 86 cb..., and got it in under 10 minutes. I'm cursed for any and all granite drops.

Some people are just unlucky. Stick with it, you will get one eventually.

yea, well, i've been killing then this time round, since BA came out, and frankly, I'm beginning to run out of p pots...

Hmm... don't worry the same thing happens to me. In 102 combat levels I've only gotten 1 dragon drop(left half) and I have never gotten anything over 500k from treasure trails.. Unlucky me. :(

You'll get eventually. It is all random. Nobody is cursed, and nobody is "lucky". It all evens out in the longrun.

In 112 combat levels and a combat 99 (attack) I haven't gotten a single dragon drop; have tried with metals, nothing of course in hudreds of them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's all luck. Which I seem to have none of. :cry:

you think 400 is bad, i spent 500 pray pots killing 80 wyvs ea day, not one granite legs has been dropped. skele wyvs are terrible money makers, supplies cost too much, they hit very frequently. get 85 slayer, its much better, believe me. =;

Killed 2k+ fire giants with 20k iron arrows, and no luck what-so-ever. Best drop: Half Key.

I would stop trying to get drops if I was you.

3 Dragon drops (legs, skirt, and spear), 5 rune boots, 1 whip, and about 7mil worth of clue rewards (including a robin) Since the start of the month 8-) \ 8-)

4.2k fire giants and nothing better than a scimmy

i gave up on fire giants killed so many only got a rune kite and some scimmys then all i do is kill 10 trolls and get 2 rune kites

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

then with iron and steel drags the steels nvr gave me anything and the irons gave me 2 skirts but still i wanted the legs since id keep those

i have bad luck when it comes to monster drops but when it comes to clue rewards i have to say that i'm pretty lucky.

I had that kind of issue, except it was on those elemental wizards. The first time, I needed a fire talisman, so I kept killing the elementals (fire ones) for the talisman. I got tons of air ones, but not a single fire. I eventually got one off of some random kind stranger.

 

 

 

Later that month, I needed an air talisman. I kept killing them, but didn't get one. Instead, I got a fire talisman when I killed the fire elemental wizard. My friend ended up taking a break from killing flesh crawlers to come and give me an air tiara.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now I keep a fire and air tiara in my bank so I won't have as much trouble with them anymore...

400 green dragons all for a best drop of an addy large which I left there.

 

 

 

(no clues either)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just stick to it you can get one eventually.

Had to kill 16950 Dust devils for chain drop. I knew at least 5 people who got them on their first trip and like 14 who got their's before 10k kills. Max i had ever seen was 14k.

 

 

 

Also used 40 3 orange spiced stews to get the extra 6 levels and still no luck if that counts :

It's not luck. There is no such thing as luck. It's odds like Leester stated. Stick with it. Your just not coming in on the right times, and leaving right when it is about to be dropped. Now your going to paranoid. Your going to stay longer thinking that it will drop when it might not. Thanks to me! :XD:

I've killed just under 17000 dustdevils without getting any dragon drop off them. I still have a few more thousand of them to kill for 99 ranged so hopefully I'll get something during those last few.

The chance for the next roll not being 5 is fixed to 5/6, independant on the amount of previously rolled dice. However, your chances of rolling only a 5 in a row decrease rapidly when rolling several times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As long as the drop rate remains the same for each kill, you'll eventually even out compared to other players. Unfortunately, for drops with very small drop rates (like dragon chain from dust devils) this will mean a huge amount of kills to even out. However, if you take an easier drop like coins, you'll even out much sooner.
