February 18, 200719 yr Then theirs the World of Warcraft review. The guy admits getting addicted and then he blames the game for addicting him!! And if that wasn't enough he goes on about how "god had called out to him several times". That has nothing normal. That made me 'lol' for real. These people are the essence of hard-line christians. You would walk down the street on a slight angle and they'd probably scream "he's possessed - exeorcism!" :uhh: The people who made warcraft were commie pinkos. God told me yesterday. PARENTS only need to do one thing to get their kids to distinguish reality from fantasy, here's what my dad did, for example... Dad: "You know that crap isn't real, right?" Me: "Yea." Dad: " And you know if you go out and shoot a cop, they'll put you in prison and you'll get raped by some large men, right?" Me: "...Yea." Dad: "Good. Don't do it then or I'll kick your [wagon]." Me: "Okay!" That simple. That was the actual conversation my dad had with me to make sure that I didn't repeat what other kids do and go on a shooting rampage. Of course, I never would have in the first place, but he wanted to make sure I knew. It took him all of 10 seconds to warn me that if I ever did that in real life, my life would be over and it wouldn't be fun. That is how easy it is to be a freakin' parent. February 18, 200719 yr And if you guys say, "lolz they gave the bible game a A+", it's because they don't rank the games by gameplay, graphics and replayability. It's really obvious this isn't meant for gamers, it's meant for people who give games as presents and parents who let their kids play games. I can dig. I understand the purpose of the site. But sadly, there are no "Good Christian" video games that don't also fail completely at being fun videogames. Why don't these people make one instead of complaining about the high quality demonic videogames and vindicating the cruddy angelic ones?
February 18, 200719 yr Playing videogames like final fantasy and metal gear will generally teach you good morals and ethics.

February 19, 200719 yr Star Wars Republic Commando receives an 82 (B-) for lots of violence and using the word damn a couple of times. You're in war...what did you expect? February 21, 200719 yr Crimsonking, you're totally missing the point. They are pointing out things most parents don't get. If I was six, I'd probably have been scared by that Children of Mana game, and if you actually bothered to read the Xenosaga quote you posted, you'll notice they are saying that you need proper reverence to OTHER religions, too. And the Matrix thing is spot on. You are all being idiotic. You're nitpicking things, and missing the point entirely. Would you want your six year old playing Dirge of Cerberus? Fable? I sure as hell wouldn't. In that aspect, the site is useful. And if you guys say, "lolz they gave the bible game a A+", it's because they don't rank the games by gameplay, graphics and replayability. It's really obvious this isn't meant for gamers, it's meant for people who give games as presents and parents who let their kids play games. I say THANK YOU =D> But anyway, by reading this, it's not for gamers because lots of them got annoyed at this guy; evidently he and his guys are scoring games by morals and such so that the PARENTS (not the kids you should notice) can decide what game is appropriate. I've read through this site and have you read the HL2 review? Maybe the Halo 2 ones. It seems like the lot of you just skim through the reviews and not reading it carefully because one of the reviewers of Al Menconi Ministries liked HL2 (even though IT IS MORE GRAPHIC THAN HALO 2). Games are also reviewed by the amount of violence, sexuality, etc, etc. You must believe me that there are Christians who'll die if they hear a single profanity and you'll have the ones that stop when 1,000 F-words come on a single screen, it depends on the PARENT. So, instead of just skimming, can you actually read all the reviews? P.S Just don't flame him because he had some serious trouble with immature "boys" who defended their games with extreme profanity. I just wonder if some of you will try to flame him. We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way. Please don't elect this man for president in 2012
February 21, 200719 yr Absolutely hilarious, http://www.almenconi.com/reviews.php?opt=games&sc_id=131 edit: Just a reminder, this is NOT an invitation to flame christians or any religion for that matter, just because one person write very extreme things like this doesn't mean all people following that religion will agree. I'm a christian and, I have totally lost respect for most church goers. There are some who talk about going to Mother F***ing church.. REAL Christian, eh? Life is as EXTREME as you WANT TO MAKE IT!

February 23, 200719 yr Man...that site made me smack my forehead. Being a christian, i try to watch out for wat i do in the world. But let me tell u, that site is a load of bull. Christians dont need to be fascists in deciding how their kids live. More importantly, christianity is a choice right? Websites like that give bad impressions... But then again, i guess the other guys out there who pointed out that this site is for deciding games meant for very young kids may be right. Although i wudnt let my kids play any rated "t" games anyway. Oh, btw read the Fable [antihero] review. I thot it was hilarious. F--? lol Wonder wat they wud have done with really bad games like playboy: the mansion. Arent those the kinda games that need avoiding? Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.
