highlanders
If your going to get 200m exp in a skill, then do it because you like it, not because you want to be famous. Besides, famous of what? Famous for wasting all your time in front of a computer, in order to gain virtual numbers displayed on webpage? Also, that won't make you very famous, people wont remember your name unless your in the top 3 players overall̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ. If your going to have all that determination and willpower to become famous, then by all means, go outside in the real world and do something grand, tangible, real, something that will matter. Not a silly game. 2480+ total

The_Dragon_Reborn
The #1 runecrafter autos  Proof? I sensed the sarcasm. I don't know what it is... I can sense sarcasm, but others can't its weird. I am sarcastic 99.9 % of the time, and no one gets it. In case you didn't get it...the 99.9% of time was sarcasm. ON TOPIC: 200Mil XP is obviusly a huge acheivement in the game of RuneScape. It's no wonder people shoot for it, even though it might mean wasting Millions of GP spent, or hundreds of real life hours lost. Whoever said to go out into the real world and do something if you are seeking fame, I have one name. Timothy McVay (or however you spell the Oklahoma Bomber's name.) ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet. Wachtwoord
To be honest: does it really matter? Is rs worth playing? It's all about fun. And if someone has the most fun getting on top of the highscore in a certain skill even if you have to work years for it, so what?! If that's the way he/she wants to play. To answer you're question: yes and no, it depends on the player. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+

aj926
It baffles me how anyone could have 200M exp in something like ranging or prayer. That's called something wrong in your head.
the_drunk_dude
200 million runecrafting experience would be worth it. First you would be pretty much famous. Second, you would have a boat-load of nats for hi-alcing and selling, and third, if you sold even only a quarter of the nats/deaths/hopefully bloods soon you make you would have enough money to sink a fleet of galleons. 200M thieving would also benefit, you'd have a ton of sceptres and gp from artifacts... =P~ You two are not thinking in relative terms, while yes, if you 200mil in a skill you'll get tons of -blank-, if you instead took that time to melee, mage, range, wc, mine, smith, and others you'll get tons of -different blank-
Outsanity
I mean this in the nicest possible way...but you don't even have 7m Total exp. There's no way you can fully understand the point in Total Exp at the point you're at in the progress of leveling and exp. Exp is a lot easier and quicker to get in a lot of skills than you may think. It is possible to get over 3,000,000 Cooking experience in a day by cooking shark. Fletching is about 2,000,000+ and Theiving is somewhere between the two. Combat skills are now super easy to get experience in with Pest Control and the release of the Black Slayer Mask. You're right about the RC exp taking a long time...but think of all the cash he's made. Even if Larryr gave away half of all the natures he makes (Since he makes double natures) he still could potentially have almost 17,000,000 Nature Runes. If sold for even 300 Gp each (at 200 gp profit each) he has made over 3,400,000,000 (3.4 Billion) cash from the skill. So while the exp is a nice motive...oftentimes, the skill is rewarding in itself. Oh...and not to mention that total exp is VERY important when you're in the small batch of players that has all 99s and you want to rank up. |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|

Most people that have 200 Mill exp in a skill don't have all 99's ,only Zezima and uloveme do, but they have been playing since the dawn of RSC. I know I don't have alot of total exp but I don't have the time nor the cash to level up that much im still stuck on the point of gathering natural resouces to gain money in order to level these skills up ,but your point is well proven Arma Hilts-2Bandos Drops-22Zamork Hilt-1Dragon Drops-122Dk Drops-47Whip Drops-10 99's-Herblore/Prayer/Fletching/Crafting/Constitution 2200 Total in under 100 days playedMy Blog :D http://forum.tip.it/topic/301717-jessomephyrexials-blog/#entry5018330
GrimHams
If i ever got a 99 in a skill i wouldn't care about getting higher xp, if we talk about total xp i dont care about that either, i dont know if i have high xp for my level. I wouldn't train a skill to 50 just to get slightly higher on the high scores because i'm never going to be a decent number. I'll have a look at what i am atm..110,163. I dont think i'd care if i were 20,000 and i doubt anyone else cares unless they're 1 :P
