Now, how many of you have ever done a quest with a friend? (It doesn't even have to be a friend. It could just be someone you talked to)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would guess the answer is still almost everybody.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now how many of you found doing quests more fun with a friend?

There are all kinds of worlds out there. There are worlds to play minigames on. There are worlds to train you skills on. There are even worlds to just hang out and talk on. Now, I ask you, why can't there be a world to do quests on?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As many people know, quests are often very boring when you do them by your self. (especially the long ones) Now what if you could do a quest whenever you wanted, and you would almost never be alone while doing it?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here's a situation you might run into:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You are planning to attend your friend's 99 fletching party tomorrow. He is planning to have a fight pits party afterwards, and you just got 82 mage for ice blitz. One problem. You never got around to desert treasure. You tried a few times, but you either forgot some of the items, or didn't have the skill requirements. You want to do it that day, but know how boring the quest will be without anyone to do it with. So you decide to ask a friend to do it with you. I guess you'll just look for someone on your list to do it with you. You know 15 people on your friend list who are your level, (lets say 94 (pure?)) but only 12 of them meet the requirements. Only 6 of those 12 are online, and 4 have already done it. That leaves 2 people, but both are busy, and can't come that day. What do you do?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now you have 3 options;

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. You can hop worlds, looking for someone to do the quest with (probably not your favorite)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. You can do the quest by your self (boring!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. You can wait and do the quest another time (what if you want to do it right away)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would bet you could choose choice 3, unless you are one of those people who can't survive without socialism (I think I might have just made that word up, lol)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now you're off to do some quest, all by your bored self. But wait! Thats right! There's that new quest world that you saw! "Well, I guess I'll give it a try. I dont seem to have any other options", you say to your self. You log in, and guess what you find? Two other people, about to start the quest!

I stopped reading here. I hate quests, and I don't do them unless there is an awesome reward. The newest quest I've done is Lunar Diplomacy. And before that...I dunno, RFD?

Even if you dont like them you still have to do them every once in a while. This could make them a little less boring for you

How would you know who else is doing a quest at the same time as you?..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It wouldn't be as easy as logging on and going "Ah your starting questX! I'll start it with you"

okay, first, i lurve quests=)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but still, there is so few that does quests that this would not be that good idea, there is not constantly people starting up at for example desert treasure, so even if all of them gather on one world (highly un-likely) then it would not be that many that would do it,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

it's better to just know a friend that needs to do it, and decide a time you should, and just do it then...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and really, there is just a few quests that takes more than 1-2 hours, so it's not that boring :P the thing that takes time is to train your skills to do it ^^

Sounds like a good idea, but since I've already finished all the quests doesn't really help me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's doesn't help many of the other true questers either because they tend to do quests right when they come out, when there are many people doing it anyways.

ya, lol, same here, i hate quest, only do quests with good rewards. but if i ever decide to do quests, i'll go to that world.

Im sorry, but i HATE quests. Only reason i do them is because they give me some i want/need, access to a new place, or it just looks cool (this only includes 1 quest, thats DT). They come out with like 2 or 3 every month. And iv only done one quest the day it came out. After that, its faster to use a guide. :-w

hmmm a quest world eh, i guess this could also make a shade burning world at the same time.

I dislike quests, HOWEVER, having a world to hop to for a friend would be GREAT. Infact, I may enjoy quests, and start doing them all!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for your idea, you have to have a STAGING AREA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Without this, people would wonder around the world of Runescape, wondering "who in the world am I suppose to find for my quest?".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For example, you could make a area that isn't so populated a good staging ground... say.. varrock square.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Imagine 100 people there all chanting "looking for partner for X quest".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It would be sweet, but you have to get the advertisement/word out. Hopefully people at tip it will help, and make this dream a reality.

this actualy is a good idea. i am always around 1 month in front of my best friend (wich i cal with intertnet calling software al the time) so he always does the things i do 1 month later.. i get a whip, 1 month later: ''he:hey

and so it always goes (especialy with quests, i did the elv quest line for leyta he cals my over the program the minute i finish the quest that he is gonna do it to)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

wel i support (to bad i just did dt wich i would very much would have licked companion by) maybe ad in your post like a meeting place like maybe varrock or better lumby cause of home tele spel as a place to meet for doing a quest (imagene the text: looking for dt partner! screams)

Smashig Brilliant idea!!! However, I guess I am the miniority of people that love to do Quests all by myself. I get a greater sense f accomplishment when I do it alone. But I do know that not everyone is like me and I know that there are those who really do need the assistance of others. So I am in favor of having a "Quest" world. I think it would benefit those who are determined to quest, but hate doing it alone.

Good idea! I suggest that you come up with the "official" clothes for people to wear on the quest world, to show that they are interested in helping people with their quests. That way, anyone who wants to help someone could just log onto that world, wear the official clothes, and just wait for someone to ask them quest questions.
