New ability fro player mods

Recommended Posts

Player Mods need a new ability to use on runescape: Freeze. Now, lets say Mod "A" sees a potential autoer. Mod "A" simply uses the option freeze, which prevents said account from doing anything, at all. Now if it is not a macro, then all the human behind the screen has to do is click something that sends a message to the mod, and the mod lifts the freeze(trying to figure out exactly how this would work). If the autoer does not send a message or whatever to the mod in a certain span of time, then a message and screenshot of the last few minutes since and before the mod freezing the character is sent to jagex in a "priority" list. Jagex further investigates, and hopefully will ban said autoer. Only problem I can see is if the mod logs out just moments after freezing, and I don't know a way around that. I'm sure Jagex could figure out a way. :D

Obviously for this to be effective, jagex needs to appoint more player mods, expecially in f2p, where it is really bad. i have only seen 1 f2p player mod, and that means there is not enough.

Oh, and obviously, the freeze would not be able to work in PvP areas

Eh, Not too bad of an idea. Could use some work, but it's pretty good otherwise.

Nice idea, though i don't know if its possible...But this could be abused by mods couldn't it? Pking and such, they could easily freeze someone and kill them :?

Personally I wouldn't want this is the game, due to the amount of inexperienced and unjust Pmods already in the game. I wouldn't want them to have this kind of control over my character.

Also if all you have to do to unfreeze is click a button then a macro could easily get around this.

I think it's an OK idea but people like skill pures would be consantly annyed by mods who freeze them thinking they're autoers.

I hate being freezed while trying to runecraft natures :XD:

You could make the button be in different places on the screen, then float&jump around.

I couldn't figure out a good way for getting the unfreeze...And I'm sure Jagex could get creative. And I know plenty of people that would make good player mods

macroes can use colors to determine were things are. this wouldn't work because of that. Sorry about the pvp comment, but otherwise, it seems ok, but like inferno, i wouldn't want this thing abused or misused

this is a good concept idea, albeit easily misused.since most macroers stay outside of combat areas, it could be used only on people outside of combat.also, if someone is attacked, they can retaliate.if this is introduced, there should be a no tolerance policy on people who abuse this function.maybe even action taken against their account?idk, just me brainstormin :P

Idk, maybe...Like I said, this idea was not perfect...I just want Jagex to do something about autoers, they are out of control

A person I know in RL was macroing a few months ago. He was doing this for about ten minutes when he suddenly lost connection - the next thing he knew, he had been banned for three days and given a warning. :shame:

Jagex can detect macros themselves. Is it that people are using macros that Jagex haven't dealt with yet or what? :?:

What if when the mod presses the "freeze" button, It doesn't actually "freeze" the player like one of those ancient magic ice spells. Instead, it just disallows the player from doing anything - walking, clicking, or getting damaged. The only thing that can be done when "frozen" is chat. The PMod would say som, ething like "If you're not an autoer, say [insert randowm word here]". Then the person says it, and the PMod lifts the freeze. That way, the only way a PMod could abuse this feature is if they annoy someone by repeatedly freezing them. I don't think anyone would risk giving up PMod status just to annoy someone a couple of times, right?

But yeah, there's the issue of how to stop PMods from freezing you all the time if you act close to like an autoer in game. (Like if you are low level, and you cut a lot of yews, you might get frozzen alot.)

I was going to suggest allowing the person to type in something into a box, like how they have those boxes with letters/numbers to keep people from automaking accounts. It would be harder for bots to detect and break through.

This would annoy a lot of low level skillers though -.-

The idea is very good, the only problem with stopping macroers is the skillers. It is understandable that they dont wanna train melee. I am personnaly a fighting hater even tho i want my lv up so people dont call me noob.

Well then, if a Pmod abuses the system, then he would be stripped of his rank and placed with all the average citizens.
