We all love the ectofuntus, the massive xp from simple bones or a bone :D But it's hated because of the time consuming, but you can work around the slow time and make it faster then you could've imagined. So without further junk heres the guide.

 

 

 

With the introducing of Grind-X, I can imagine more people using this guide.

 

 

 

FIRST IS GETTING THE SLIME!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Did you know there are 2 known ways by me to getting the slime?

[hide=Method 2]Two is buying the slime from Trader Crewmembers at the docks of catheby, ghost ahoy's docks, brimhaven's docks,ardouge's docks, and so on.

Once you have your choosen amount of slime bank all of it and go get your bones you will be grinding with

Now refil your empty ectophial

you should now have a 'bonemeal' filled pot

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

once done making all your bones into a 'bonemeal' pot teleport to edgeville for their bank or run through the ghost town to it's bank.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now withdraw 13 ecto-filled buckets, 13 'bonemeal' pots, your ectophial, and tokens, or a blank space for the tokens.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Teleport using the ectophial from any bank you where at, and pray to the ectofuntus!

If you want to procces fatser, use teleports. Most guides I've read use rings of dueling, but that is 1k per charge.

 

 

 

If you use glory amulet to tele to Edgy/Draynor, you'll be just as fast and you'll pay way less:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Ring of dueling: 8 teleports = min 3k

 

 

 

min 375 gp per teleport

 

 

 

- Glory amulets: 223 teleports = max 1k (price check says Games necklace is 300-600)

 

 

 

max 5 gp per teleport

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pro:

 

 

 

- At least 75 times cheaper :thumbsup:

 

 

 

- Faster proccesing of bones

 

 

 

- No need for (super) energy potions (maybe with slime ...)

 

 

 

Cons:

 

 

 

- You'll have to recharge all your amulets every 223 teleports (not a big deal actually)

 

 

 

- To optimize your Games necklace teles, you'll need to invest 1.4 to 2 mill.

 

 

 

- Heores quest required

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Info on recharging:

 

 

 

If you want to recharge, wear a Games Necklace and withdraw 28 glories.

 

 

 

Tele to Burthrope.

 

 

 

Walk to Heroes guild.

 

 

 

Go to the fountain in the basement.

 

 

 

Recharge all the Glories.

 

 

 

Tele to Edgy/Draynor to restart.

Summon method.

 

 

 

There is only one summon you would use and thats the terrorbird.

 

 

 

With its ability and its 12 extra bank spots, you can efficiently get ecto and/or bones and grind them or fill the buckets with ease.

 

 

 

Here the method.

 

 

 

-Bank and get bones/buckets.

 

 

 

-Use the ecto tele and refill it.

 

 

 

- Go to the area of your choice (lets say slime)

 

 

 

-Get there and use any scrolls to keep you run at full.

 

 

 

-Fill all buckets and the ones in you summon.

 

 

 

-Tele with glory/castle wars ring/other method.

 

 

 

-Repeat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the Grind-X option now released, grinding might be a better, less wrist hurting method!

Interesting... I'll try it out some day when I need Prayer-training. The good thing about this is that you don't need 300 Duelling Rings to make it quick.

Least I don't use duel rings it still a fast method

instead of deul rings, surley glorys are just as fast.. if you have 28 glorys(if your an avid rc-er lile me :)) then it wont be alot slower if you tele to edgy...+ no money wasted(apart from the inestment of glorys but that can be easilly got back).

yes, but a click and a tele and a bank, is loads faster then a click, a tele, a run to the bank, and a tele. Good other tips however. You may want to edit 26 buckets from 27, if you will have ectotokens though.

Could use a lot of work with making it look better, perhaps some pictures. Ecto is pretty obsolete for the hard core trainers now due to the guilded alter.

i really don't see anything different about how i ecto.... is it the part about filling 26 or 27 buckets with slime then banking? cause i thought everybody knew that

Nice guide, it could be better if you expnd it a bit. E.g - pictures, test times. etc

pretty good guide, but I have to agree that no matter what ecto will never be that fast. A lot better for members to use their own or somone elses gilded alter.

I suggest using Dueling ring to Castle Wars, or Glory to Edgenville, I think glory is a little less expensive.

I was doing this the other day. I had 250 d bones and decided it was time to process them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recommend boots of lightness, spotty or spottier cape and ghostspeak ammy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To get slime, either buy from charter shop, or do this...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assume that "ecto" means tele and that you refill afterwards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Getting slime

 

 

 

1. Inventory = ectophail, and super energy, 26 buckets.

 

 

 

2. Ecto to functus (whatever) and enter trapdoor.

 

 

 

3. Using agility shortcuts, fill buckets.

 

 

 

4. Ecto and run to bank.

 

 

 

5. Repeat, using super energies when necessary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Doing bones

 

 

 

1. Inventory = ectophail and super energy, 13 pots and 13 bones

 

 

 

2. Ecto to functus, climb stairs.

 

 

 

3. "Use" bones on hopper and during the animation, click on the wheel, then after the third turn click on the barrow to get bonemeal. Again, [/i]during the animation, "use" bones on hopper. This way your char will whizz to the next part in the sequence and is a bit quicker. Repeat until all pots are full.

 

 

 

4. Ecto and run to bank, repeat from 1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Worshipping

 

 

 

1. Inventory = ectophail and super energy, 13 slime and 13 bonemeal

 

 

 

2. Ecto and worship :pray: (you will need to collect ectotokens before the last one is done).

 

 

 

3. Run to bank, repeat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The doing bones bit will need to be done twice as many times as the slime bit. I did 250 bones in two sessions because my brain started to fry.

hmm an average guide

instead of useing games necklaces to charge glories move your home to taverly and use home tele tabs there. this is faster but may be more expensive.
