RavenGaurd
I quite Runescape a fair amount of time ago in favor of World of Warcraft, but now I'm bored of that, bored of Guild Wars, so I was wondering why everybody here actually PLAYS Runescape (Rather, why it's worthy to P2P because I've already done all F2P quests and most of their skills I'm pro in) I also have a very nice house I highly regretted abandoning, so that's kind of why I wanted to come back, but the rest of the game...is just, off. So if people could please supply me with some reasons to come back, that'd be appreciated, because right now I just don't see any to. :ohnoes: :boohoo:

Goobore
I quite Runescape a fair amount of time ago in favor of World of Warcraft, but now I'm bored of that, bored of Guild Wars, so I was wondering why everybody here actually PLAYS Runescape... You could always try Everquest for free. It's a much more challenging and dangerous game than RS. The world is enourmous and there's always something that you haven't done yet. Players, mostly, work together to advance instead of competing/PKing each other as in RS. ... I wanted to come back, but the rest of the game...is just, off. Yeah. IMHO, there's to much leveling grinding for to little purpose in RS. ...So if people could please supply me with some reasons to come back, that'd be appreciated, because right now I just don't see any to... Some people play for the satisfaction of getting high levels, some for socializing, some for PKing, and some for exploring a virtual world. So, you really have to ask yourself "What do/did I enjoy about playing?" We really can't answer that for you. If you can answer that then you may be able to decide what to do. Hope this (somehow) helps
Captainkidd
Well because you paid for World of Worldcraft then you'd be a member if you came back to p2p right? If so then theres new skills, mini-games, quests and other stuff. Although some of the updates havn't been the best you could always player kill, stake, do castle wars for 48 hours  . Just try coming back for a month as a member and see if it addicts you, if it dose your back playing if it don't then go play World of Worldcraft
everfreefire
There's a quote from a book that answers this well, so I tracked it down, and edited it so it would fit better. So if people could please supply me with some reasons to come back, that'd be appreciated, because right now I just don't see any to. "[We] can't. It would be [our] reason...If [we] give you a reason, then you will use that reason either to reject [returning]or to shift responsibility onto us..." Going over that, I did butcher it some, but the point remains...we cannot make your decisions, because then it wouldn't be yours, and you could use our reasonings as a reason not to join. Basically, the final choice is yours alone.
countzeroh
Perhaps the question that should have been asked was "Why do you enjoy runescape" to others. Their responses, whilst by no means making your decision for you, may help you to make your decision. For my part, I play and still enjoy runescape for a number of reasons, But its mostly the interaction with others, and Have made a lot of friends located all over the world. I do enjoy Levelling and working on skills, but often spend time in game pretty much just hanging out . If you do choose to return, I'd recommend hitting all the quests you haven't done as a starting point. cheers Count

foofoomagoo
I play runescape, because it relaxes me to tell the truth, on a second note i am sorry to tell you that you are not a pro in any F2p skills and your house is not as nice as you believe most likely. I guess what im trying to say is that thier is always something to improve on, no one is perfect. : 26M Crafting XP

Gugge
As already has been stated, the reasons to come back has to be your own reasons, or you will be bored within 2 days and leave again. The fact that you are posting here indicates that you *do* have reasons to come back, now you have to find them. So what do you miss with runescape? And what did you like while you played it? Friends, hanging out with them and doing whatever you are in the mood for? Group activities, mini games for example or things like tet or clan events? Killing big monsters, ones that challange you but offer great rewards if lucky? Non-combat skills? Pking? Quests? Think about it, find *your* reasons. Also think about why you left. What is stronger, the reasons why you like to come back, or the reasons why you left? Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

U will smell disgusting. ( yes i just said that \ ) Uh, what the hell!? Like others have said, play to your strengths. You said you regretted abandoning your house, so get your con up and have some friends over for a bit of fun. Maybe try some new quests. But don't just come back and grind through a skill. You'll burn out and go play something else. Enjoy yourself. [Tip.It Mod][Retired][Add your Steam name here!]

A number of times. The obvious reason why I quit RS for WoW in the first place was because I was bored of RS. I got bored of WoW and decided to come back to RS - Why I wanted to come back to RS I really don't know... I just felt like playing again ! transcript80
As stated countless times: HAVE FUN! fun in RS can mean (amongst others): *Quests - do them without a guide, only use them if you are REALLY stuck. I discovered "questing without guide" recently, its really cool! *levels - train your skills. The ones you like, that is! Read the tip.it times article about the guthix skiller (Guthix FTW!!!), it's the kind of appraoch I kinda like! *minigames - pest control, barrows, barbarian assault, castle wars. Some of us really like them, and the satisfaction of their rewards! *socialising - There is no penalty if you choose NOT to level/gain xp. You can just walk around, chat with friends, have parties etc etc. Overall, enjoinment is key! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... rise
If your going to play a mmorpg the play rs its better because it has waymore up dates and there is more to do the just quests. I dont have a sig anymore =[But I did manage to get every skill in the highscores
Goobore
If your going to play a mmorpg the play rs its better Well, "better" depends on what a player finds enjoyable about the game. A player that loves Pking would love RS (and other games) A player that loves to work closely with a group of other players might not like RS. ...because it has waymore up dates Well, yeah, sorta.. RS has "weekly" smallish updates that are free for members. The updates for EQ, WoW, and GW are (about) $20 to $40, huge, and occur, maybe, twice a year or longer. So, if the update were big enough, it might keep you busy for many months if you decided to cough up the money for it. IIRC, EQ has had about 13 major updates so far. ...and there is more to do the just quests. True But then EQ, WoW, and GW have many other things to do besides quests also. IMHO, it comes down to -- Do you want to PK? -- Do want to work closely with a group of 6 friends. -- Do you want to play solo? -- Do want difficult and challenging encounters with fantastic loot? RS, EQ, WoW, and GW all differ in the above (more or less) Hope this helps
highlanders
Haha seems like you want to be convinced to come back. Just log in, talk to your old friends(if they still play) try out doing something and see if you like it. And don't play Rs unless you get p2p. The f2p version is just crap. 2480+ total
shurikennin
My reasons i put in my head while contemplating rs suicide(quitting) are these: There is always a way to improve>ALWAYSThe OoC.i love these people as their main goal is too have fun :D this is how i look at the OoC: cabbage may be the obsesion of this group but is just the glue which binds a community of players together. The challenges! being better than my friends in this game feels great and races are always fun :) I play mostly for fun with my rl and ingame friends. But as has been said these are only my ways.I just hope they influence you to come back 8-) EDIT: forgot to put these other reasons in my post.Any player can play rs however they want! You could skill,pk,go all out on everything, and many other things Dude, you're an idiot #-o Dude, your feeble attempt at an insult is hilarious. ... You can tell JAGeX is British - No common sense. :notalk:Supportmage:Quick Robin,to the roflcopter!
