A child of the 90's, this is what shaped my world.(few pics)

Featured Replies

this might belong in the TV section of this forum, since the pic's are from tv of course. But, before a mod moves this I want them to know this thread is not about just TV and such.

anyway, this is what i grew up watching, among other things.

I grew up riding a big wheel, remember those? maybe they aren't all 90's but they were fun. I had tons of Teenage mutant ninja turtle stuff to, Infact i still have like 10 inch plush doll like things stored away in an old Coke-a-cola chest.

this was what it was like to be a product of the late 80's and the 90's I feel for our children of the coming generations. These shows had quality to them. The toys, have not changed much. But still they rely less on the imagination factor in my opinion.

Also, feel free to tell what toy/game/tv show was your favorite.

feel free to comment on whatever, share, relive your life.

I recall, buying alot of transformer action figures as well.

personally, I dont want to seem harsh/negative towards other generations but, the 90's was interesting to say the LEAST. political turmoil was something never to be considered.

I spent hours playing in a tractor tire, that was filled with sand(sand box) it was GREAT. I remember, riding around in the back of my dads pickup truck. never wearing a seat belt til i was 16. Huffy bikes to... I had a few of them. Going fishing for HOURS. And i remember always playing til it was dark out. I am sure previous generations did it, but the newer ones??? too much cell phones/mp3 player/internet. I wish I could travel back in time and relive the 90s again as a child and really appreciate it.

I really don't have a lot of memories before 2000.

Nickelodeon in the 90's was great. I miss Doug, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, and Ren and Stimpy.

The PJ's was my favourite, because i was too young to understand the racial stereotypes and taboos surrounding it \'

I still was The Angry Beavers to this day <3: (Actually thats not true.)

Yeah man, 90's Nick TV was awesome. I feel sorry for kids today, I really do.

I was born in '88 and some of my best memories of course involve all the great games back then. It was a pretty different industry, because creating a game was incredibly cheap (get a couple of nerds with a PC) so many unique games were created. Of course, a lot of turds as well -- but yeah.

I could go on for ages as well reminiscing about my old NES and such as well, but DOS was what really introduced me into gaming.

Here's a favorite of mine to watch. About a half hour of cartoon intro's from the 90's. Set away some time to watch it - it's a good trip down memory lane.

Yeah man, 90's Nick TV was awesome. I feel sorry for kids today, I really do.

Agreed. We got the good shows and kids these days are stuck with half assed ideas that go nowhere fast. I actually can't stand watching most cartoons these days :(

Born in '90 and enjoyed all the times I remember. Does anyone else remember cup stacking (aka speed stacking)? Haha dumbest thing ever but I used to love those when I was a kid :P

these people typically of the 90s era grew up to be come MLG Pro's.

our upbringing of the 90s shaped us, I wish i could say more positive things about our generation and say, this is why we are "such and such" compared to the 2000's kids and they "only do this or that, and are not as 'something' as we were"

edit: originally messed this up, now this post is fixed. Sorry i didnt get back to this thread.

Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain were the best shows back then. I really do feel sorry for kids these days. They have horrible shows and toys that use hardly any imagination. Cartoon creators today should not even have hands. Every single Cartoon that has come out in the last 4 maybe more years has been a waste of Pixels on my T.V. They even ruined Spongebob, I hate them.

Edit: This is one of my favorite Animaniac Movies.

Who remembers waking up early, like 6:00 Am, to watch Saturday morning cartoons? That was the best. Then you would rush home from school to see all the after school cartoons as well. Good Times. 8-)
