Let us here at Tip.it find out the real way to train Strength. Below is a Form on what you trained on and what XP you got

Weapon: (Anchor / Scimi )

NPC:

Hours / Minutes:

Helmet:

Fire Cape: Yes / no

Amulet:

Torso: Yes / No

Gloves:

Ring:

Defender Type or Shield Type:

Boots:

Misc: Were you using any pots or Prayer?

====

Attack Bonus: +80

Strength Bonus: +80

Dragon Scimi with Rune Defender:

Attack Bonus:

Rune Defender: +19 (Slash)

Dragon Scimi: +67

Total: + 88

Strength Bonus:

Rune Defender: +5

Dragon Scimi: +66

Total: +71

With the Defender you have a higher Attack bonus. This will allow you to hit the NPC/Player more often. With a little faster speed you will hit the NPC/Player more times in the hour while training. With the combo of slight faster hits and a slight advantage of more hits per hour, I do not think this is a better solution to training strength. Also with the Rune Defender and Scimi you get a +19/20 in defense, which will help you stay on training strength, rather then having to switch to Guthan more often. This will also allow you train Pure strength for longer periods.

I am all for new weapons and fun quests!

But what do you think is the best way to train Strength that doesn't include Pest Control??

What say you?

But what do you think is the best way to train Strength??

better change that to "non pc way" to train str.

also, that crush attack of it seems effective to melee armor. but really, is this going to be revolutionary? like the whip was to attack and def? i really doubt it.

ive got a video of me using this thing, hitting like 20 30 37 38 20 19

good, comparison, but i can't tell u the best way to train strength, i personally use a bunch of different methods, i don't care about the absolute quickest ::'

well, this depends a lot on wich monster you train on. if you train against a monster with high defence, and more crush defence than slash, then scimmy is probably better.

but if you are fighting a thing with low crush defence, or just low overall defence, so you hit most of the times, then this anchor would be better, as you'll hit it harder... the speed is not much to say on, as the speed is about the speed of a longsword, not anything to worry about..

so an overall, as long the monster doesn't have a high crush defence, then it would probably be better to use the anchor instead of scimmy.

pures tend to be unwilling to get their prayer as high as 50 though

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

I like the look of this weapon, but I doubt it will be much useful for training.

Most monsters are weaker to slash attacks than to crush attacks, so there is not much choice.

I would just like to ask for some monsters who are good to train on and have low crush defence. I would like to know if it is truly worth keeping for player versus NPC.

Thanks!

Rune Defender + Dragon Scimi + Glory + Dark Gloves

Total: 88+10+12=110 (with anchor 102)

Strength Bonus:

Rune Defender + Dragon Scimi + Rune boots + Zerker helm + Dark gloves

Total: 71+2+4+12=89 (with anchor 98)

me personally its funny so ill keep it for a while. no need to train another 200k exp for lvl 100 str with this thing.

Currently with no ring, glory, torags, rune boots and gaunts, and an obsidian cape I have +98 crush with the anchor, and +96 strength.

It's godly.

we shouldnt be comparing other items that give you strength bonuses to back up the dragon scimiter.

give the weapon a chance and test it out for an hour(i havent got the farming so im out of the question)

it seems like people are looking at every aspect of the anchor in an attempt to dismiss it

The anchor weighs 30kg??? New maximum weight, anybody?

on topic: I will definately use the anchor to train strength, because unlike monkey madness, I will actually get around to doing this new quest.
