  1. Oh... i see what you mean. Yes, a lot of times i read the forums, but i don't post unless something hasn't been discussed. Basically, i don't reapeat what everyone else is saying, (For example, on the Help and Advice board) But... on the rants board. Don't mess with me on the Rants board. :XD:
  2. Hmm... how about 'Illidan' (Yes, i play too much Warcraft) Cryztal_Shard My favorite. Don't take it, i like it. (yeah, go ahead, i already have taken Crystal Shard, so it doesn't matter)
  3. Good! i agree with the basic ideas of more high level prayers... BUT... A few points to make. Flurry and Hidden Power should reduce defence percentages, not the range or mage. A ranger in the wildy will not usually have mage up his sleeve, or vice versa. the costs are too high if the character dies. Also, the high level protection are okay, but not practical. all it does is make you a killling machine in the wildy. Come on, a level 126 with 75% protection from otheres attacks? and he hits about a 50? No. The rest is good, but for burnout and the others, make it stop at a 30% bonus, and don't have it stop when you hit zero. Otherwise the prayers aren't very effective. Good ideas overall. ~Elphinstone
  4. Hmm.. you know, i actually can't poke that full of holes! :XD: Anyway, i don't think it would work very well, as that would lead to characters like me, with balanced skills, the ability to own the wilderness. with more hitpoints and a reasonable amount of damage, and great armour, i should be able to own everything really fast. And then... Lets say i was an attack and defense pure. I take my poisoned dragon dagger and attack a newly made defense pure under the new rules. I still hit 20, 20, 20, 20. Not going to stop me unless hes got more than 80 hits, (or im unlucky). Or, the defense pures (with 60 attack) become so powerful that they take their dragon daggers and go own the str pures. Either way, this will either be done very slowly, or not at all. But i do think the field needs to be leveled, but how? ~Elphinstone
  5. FINISHED!!!!! reserved while i read the article :XD: Anyway, great article, and a few good points, but i didn't like this one as much as i liked a lot of the others. I agree about the orange type... I don't know anyone who doesn't cept spooferfish, And about most of the updates. As for RS3? Well... i guess we will wait and see, but it would sure suck to have to restart from lvl 3 if there is a major overhaul of the game system. I wouldn't mind it, but if they do it, are they gonna stick with their 'Java Gaming Experts' theme? But still, good read, and i hope to see more next week!
  6. Tell them that you'll pay it yourself if they give it too you. they should have no objection, unless they don't liek the game. And if you don't earn money, you should be over 13 to play the game, and anyone 14 and over can get a job. Sheesh Second, don't be immoral like that. At least if you are going to do that use your own money. Don't steal from your parents.
  7. OKAY EDIT. IREAD EM. AND I GOT FIRST POST. I was on today, all hyped up to see the new version and it's not there :( Please, i appreciate the work that Tip.it does, but i really want my times :P
  8. there is no way that you counted. There is no way that i believe you. Seriously, you would have to be a flippin god to do that, and with out a third party porgram, it's nigh impossible. Yeah, ive probably walked to the store and back too:)
  9. Well... lets see. My friends had been talking about it a lot, and they convinced me to try it for one afternoon. Unfortunately, i clicked on classic and i hated it. Mostly cause i died. Anyway, i was up in Edmonton before Christmas in 2005... and was palying on the computer when i thought: Hey, lets try RS again. So i went there and i looged on. I did a whole week of it, and succesfully missed the christmas drop cause i didn't know what to do with the bobbles. :wall: Anyway, i had fun, but i didn't play anymore until i got interent on my laptop in January and then i went on an RS spree... and here i am!
  10. Seriously, st. Anger, sheesh. I agree with adam, and i too am against censorship, but tip.it is a site where around 20% of the people are below 13. So, he is right. As for team speak, i think it's a great idea, and that if you can run it through the scripting to get passwords up and running then it would work better.
  11. Why don't you try to bring it back yourself then? Start selling in character, and you will get attention from people. Act like your character would and Roleplay. If you want to bring it back, as in the real world, don't rely on someone else to do it, do it yourself. If i met you ingame, and you role played, i would too. Try it sometime, and see if you can get other people to actually take time to put RPG in MMORPG.
  12. Thanks... you own. Anyway, i think a minigame might work better, what do you think? Maybe offering ores and bars as rewards, mining xp, and maybe even some cool mining outfits and the DRAGON PICK
  13. Okay... i am a DM for my friends in Dungeons and Dragons, and i am a great fan of Role Playing. I think the idea is okay, but your method is entirely wrong. As soon as this server goes online, ANYONE can access it. Stopping high level players like lilyuffie88 from going on the server? That would suck even more. Realize, that while you want to bring Role Playing back to a game with so many (not nice) people, that you cannot exclude like that. Remember all the racist and nasty remarks made by people? Well how would you feel if you accidentaly slipped and swore at someone and got booted of the server? What would the implications of this be? You also cannot stop ANYONE from saying noob. It may be offensive to alot of people, but it is a central word in the online community, and nearly impossible to remove. But as i said, your head's in the right place, (and if you want to come visit me in Canada and play D&D with me, your welcome too). I just don't think the idea will work out, because of the community you have to deal with. A lot of people wouldn't mind the return of real gaming, where having friends was needed to survive in a cuthroat world. (you really would LOVE my D&D games) But really, i don't see this working out. If you can revise so that you can get around all those troubles, then you are a God. Other than that, thanks for putting this forward. ~Elphinstone
  14. WHERE???? Anyway, i figure the carts might work as a bank deposit box, if you got a better suggestion, speak up. Because it's so much cooler. Oh, and i think that more xp per rock might lure people over. Also, it would totally kill the autoers. A sense of realism i think, and even though people WILL get mad at me if this actually gets implemented (I shall no longer go in the wildy if it does) Then i think you may actually be able to mine just as fast as you did normally, with more xp, if your lucky. Thanks.
  15. I love these topics. I lets me say this: ITS A FLIPPIN GAME! Jagex owns your characters. They are PIXELS. AND they are controlled by your actions through a mouse. Now... My character would freak out and then stop. Turn around. And stick her sword into the guy next to her. (Zezima BTW) :XD: Thanks for reading that
  16. Thats just me trying to reply to a post... Yeah, i realized that i contradicted myself... AND YES, I GET YOUR POINT! Thank you. I will now proceed to revise my first post.
  17. Ow... okay, let me revise that. What i meant is that with that comes more xp. I never said that i would put the high level rocks in the wall where you have to search for them, and in certain areas all there would be is a certain kind of rock. Also, with the mining carts, once you find a vein, you can exploit from 1-3 loads without having to fear losing it too other people. And second, btw, im a Dm for dungeons and Dragons. I play a lot of rpg's, and i just prefer things to be realistic. :-w As i said, im not saying a complete over haul, maybe even the vein works like a teleport to a new area with rocks in it like between a rock... At least give me some feedback on what to do to change it, because you didn't object to the part about mining being insanely boring. Frustration for 1 minute, then free mining for 5? I actually don't see the problem.
  18. Okay, this is something that has been talked about but never adressed completely. Some skills are insanely boring to level. Really. Anyone who powermines will know this, so i have decided to come up with a new way to mine. If i have time later, i will come back and do other skills. Now, there is a prospecting option for rocks, but who, over level 30, actually uses that option. It's obvious what a rock is just by looking at it. What i want is to make a real mine. Make a really, really big underground area by revising what we already have, and then run mine carts through that area. First, I have critiscism for that idea, so here is the revised version: All throughout the underground mines, the walls will have ore in them, and by prospecting, you can find an vein of ore. After you find it, as there are patterns to where the ore is, you can mine it until it is gone. After you have found it by prospecting, everyone can see it. Avein will be like a high level tree. Giving a random amount of ore before dissapearing. Once you have a full inventory, you can dump it in the mine carts to take it to your bank. This will offset the frustration for finding these veins. People who don't want to risk never finding something or hitting a jackpot will still have their old rocks, just nowhere near the mining carts to prevent quick banking the easy way. Mining helmets would have a new use, as well as the new light sources idea my Madeof12une, as they would allow you to see the veins once you found them. There would be the return of prospecting. Like it really is, a miner in a lone passageway mining a vein of GOLD :XD: (yeah, i got carried away) That's exactly the kind of fun i want to bring back. And, if finding ore gets too tedious, you can always go back to the old mining system in other mines, but they won't get you as much xp as mining veins will. I hope you like it.
  19. I think there are too many teleports already, making annoying quests like One Small Favour not so annoying any more. Personally, i like walking places except in certain occasions, because i like looking around. But thats just me. I think that a custom teleport would result in even more wonderful lazy people. But then again, thats just me again...
  20. Not really, i don't support that much becuase in high level wildy, a lot of people are SMART and wait for a fight to be over before attacking one of the people and KOing them. I say that a 10 second safe time is enough for the person to be able to pick up dropped loot and eat food before another fight. 1 1/2 minutes is too long in high level wildy.
  21. I see your point, but rs is a point and click game, and games like tony hawk have much better graphics and a better system based on being able to do these tricks. But... i think that a better system like that should be implemented for the fastest xp, especially with certain skills. The ranging mini game would work better like that, but i think that something that heightens the experience of the game would be better. For example, lets take a boring skill to train, like mining. Now, how could we make it harder... oh!!! I know, how about a very large area with hidden rocks where you actually have to prsopect the walls for veins of rock, and once you find one, you can mine it until it's gone! Wait a sec, thats a good idea, gotta remember that one:) But, making skill training areas that require more clicking and work should have a better reward, not just more xp, how about quick storage in mine carts in those mines or something. Think about it and revise your first post to show the kind of things you would do. \
  22. Some people i don't get... like the one who wants to buy banned accounts from you and then unlock them... He said he was staff, but i think that hes an idiot :XD: i mean... who would buy banned accounts anyways? As for pkers... i like the ones that yell one on one, you and me, and then proceed to attempt to team me. When i come back with my firends an KO the guy, he calls me a noob  again.
  23. Yeah... SURE! but it's fun to make. Wouldn't you rather eat pie than fish? I mean... wiht all the gnome foods, when i get members, i won't be able to contain myself and i'll fight with all those foods instead. Also, it might help NOT to introduce fish like monkfish that heal the highest amount of any food... i think... Because it will make people gor for fishing even more. Jagex should make current food harder to make, put seasoning in or something, and then make it heal more, taking some emphasis off fishing.
  24. Seriously man... read the updates page. I find the area sounds nice, most of the graphics updates okay, and the guides okay as well. Hate the free swords and shields and the location of the run button. Other than that... Well, i agree with you.
