It will help alot since you actually see your hitpoints and prayer, and rune energy. Dharoking and other things that could bring your hitpoints low or that you have to worry about your hitpoints/prayer level will be greatly aided now.

This skill doesn't reward you at lvl 5, that's like saying, fishing shrimp isn't drawing me into wanting to fish.....NO DUH you can't fish shark are monks yet. Give it time.

I'll tell you who is going to get it. The person who is the best no life, with a good amount of money and that finds the fastest exp per hour. It really isn't that hard to know that skills are made into 99s by experience per hour and then all that matters.

Actually when its 1v1 most people are going to bring in their good weapons and armor for an actual shot of killing higher levels than them. I'm level 114 and I friendly duel a lot of my lower friends for fun. Guess what properly equipped they beat me everytime. I am guessing when you went in you were only wearing a dagger and nothing else (consider you said that you lost many daggers). A 1v1 would really open it up as to armor people will bring in since they know they can't get teamed again.

I'm glad that they are putting in replacement for pking, but I think Jagex did the right thing even if they had to throw it together and everything. Most of the babbies are going to whine and moan that they didn't put better PvP content in the game when they took out their treasured wilderness but they need to realize that it isn't that long of a wait for one. Its sad that just because one or two updates people lose faith that Jagex makes good updates. If all Jagex updates suck, then please stop playing such a crappy game and move on with your life.

So even after they told you, "We are busy, blah blah blah" You go and make them busier by sending in spammed messages about your friend getting two axes. if farming was a combat skill, mine would be higher than lvl 48... :P but sereously, i get your point. The popularity of skills are usually determined by its usefulness. I HIGHLY DOUBT you will be able to use summoning to make money (profit). Which (i think) will automatically make summoning in the lesser third of favorite skills among players. Not many people like repetitive things that take money but dont give a decent output. Yep your right everything is about making money off the skill :roll: Skills are popular because of content and what abilities they give you ingame. Runecrafting isn't a horribly popular skill due to the lack of fast leveling yet is one of the best moneymakers in the game.

Sold bones :wall: Piety comes in great use, guess some people don't think of that after 5k dragons. I guess that 5k dragon bones on guilded alter would only be 1.26 million prayer experience. I'm sure that 10 mil you got went to good use.
