  1. This happens with any group that has had a long road, Tip.it has been around for a while. The old timers know each other well and bring in the smarter new guys and then treat the others like garbage to make them leave so they don't post horrible insignificant things. I'm not saying that every new person here needs to be smart or achieved much in game, but they need to at least read a guide or two on the subject that they question. I personally only have a few friends on here, which the only reason I was able to meet them was through ventrilo. They bashed me for the first couple of days, but then they realized that I had potential and we started getting along well. When I came back from quitting for a couple months, all my tip it friends weren't on or either deleted me and moved onto new groups that fit them. I think people just need to come to this forum ready to take some jokes or criticism, besides that, why does it really matter what someone over the internet said about you?
  2. Seriously DJ, how the hell can you be that balanced in all your skills.
  3. I wonder if it is considered breaking advertising rules if you go to F2P in decked out gear and say, go to http://www.runescape.com and subscribe for 5.99$ to get the chance to wear this gear.
  4. This would just be more of a burden on the highscores server, F2P players trying to get a certain P2P level in 5 days, then create and new account and do it again. Making thousands of new F2P accounts just for a 1 time try at saying, "I got so and so level in P2P in 5 days on an F2P account" How about after they reach a certain total level 900 - 5 days 1000 - 5 days 1100 - 5 days 1200 - 5 days 1300 - 5 days 1400 - 5 days
  5. It would be awesome, yet so hard to do considering you'd only get half the storyline. For example, if you fought as an American Soldier during WW2, you would only know the one side of the story, you wouldn't know the struggles of German Soldiers because you weren't on that side. On top of that, propaganda on both sides curve the story to sound better for each side. This is the problem on people telling history like it was, biased people always slant the story a little different until the story is no longer true. On Topic, I haven't read the whole story about the Great Orb Project, but I'm sure Jagex isn't releasing this huge update all at one time. They are probably programming underneath so they can get the tiles in for a shorter load wait on release day. Some questions for people who know RS history: What is Juna guarding? What special powers does the Stone of Jas/The Eye of Saradomin and the Staff or Armadyl have? What does the Dragonkin Area at Baxtorian Falls have to do with this Quest if anything?
  6. The reason for the end product being less than the Raw product is the experience you can obtain out of the raw product. Back in the day, money was a lot harder to make than it is now and there weren't millions of people fishing the same type of fish. Nowadays if a product has a 10% increase and someone has the skill level to produce it, there will be 10 times the supply actually needed to fulfill that demand. I might just be talking out my [wagon], I've been up all night.
  7. Some more hints or maybe I'm just going way out there: 1. The new banner is definitely about the Grandmaster Quest coming out this month. 2. On one of these speculation threads someone said something about Juna guarding something that he doesn't know he is, and yet Tears of Guthix is the new article of the week. 3. Who is the guy in the banner?
  8. I don't really ask myself why I keep doing it, I know why. After playing PS3 or another game that gets old after 2 weeks I realize I have a great addiction that is there when I need it. It is kind of like Runescape is my Wife, and all the other games are one night stands.
  9. Here is my mathematical attempt at showing you what each term is: (Combats) Attack Strength Defence Hitpoints Ranged Magic Prayer Summoning Slayer (Non-Combats) Cooking Woodcutting Fletching Runecrafting Smithing Mining Farming Herblore Fishing Crafting Agility Thieving Construction Hunter firemaking If Combats>Non-Combats, then you are considered a Slayer Of Monsters. If Non-Combats>Combats, then you are considered a Skiller. If Non-Combats=Combats, then you are Balanced.
  10. I think that people strive to better themselves and get as much money as they can so they can worry about what they want to do with the money and not how to make it. Who really cares if you don't have money, ignore the people that call you a noob that run around in high leveled gear, they are just trying to get to you and you are letting them by writing how everything used to be fun back in the day. Don't worry about the little things, just have fun, play runescape, and do what you want to do.
  11. Omg guys, summoning is dying out, unlike the first day it came out everyone doesn't have a summon out, people are finding it boring that is why.... the pouch prices are dropping and so are the seconds because no one trains it! [/rant] Everyone rushed the first day, some people are bored, some people don't like it, some people are training pures up and some people haven't found out that it is back yet.
  12. Just seems like everyone doesn't want to realize that they aren't going to get into that forum. I know they may not know everything, but after 600+ million experience they obviously know how to play the game and earn enough money to get their levels maxed out.
  13. no spec attack? well they suck even more now... has anyone even gotten any of them yet? it seems like jagex didnt even add them into the game I don't think it is that hard to pick something about the update that you like, but every new thread I see you post on all you do is complain about jagex's updates. There is a forum on tip.it called rants for a reason. The reason Jagex did this is just to give F2P a taste of what dragon weapons do so they might in turn want to subscribe for the full benefit of playing runescape. They give F2P a nibble so they want more. Where do you get more? P2P
  14. I am pretty sure that you can buy, Super Poison ++ from the GE, tell me if I am wrong...
  15. I think the update has really put some excitement back into rs when you get bored of skilling or doing slayer. Nothing like killing the slayers and people you compete against. I think many P2P people barely wear dragon armor considering the superiority of Barrows armor and Bandos, why not let F2P have a taste of corrupt dragon armor so they want to get P2P. On the loot system, I think there are still some bugs to work out, but 75k really isn't that much considering what food, armor, amulets and a KO weapon costs. If you haven't seen any good drops, you should look through this thread and on the Player Killing Forum and see what some people have been getting, you'd be surprised. I don't think that this Player Vs Player is without its imperfections, but I do think it is a huge step bringing it back. I do think the threshold should be by a persons level, but I think that would lead to more 1 item Pkers and less of the legit players.
  16. I am going to test something with my brother and see if it is really easily imbalanced. I'll try to report back in a bit.
  17. Wow, already lost a whip, full rune among other nice things. I need to find me a Player-Killing Tutor, I have the money and that stats to Player Kill, just don't have the brains.
  18. I speculate that speculating will not find the purpose of anything.
  19. This was THE best tip.it times article I have ever read (I've been around for over 5 years). I got chills remember that amazing battle....maybe I'm just a dork, but I still remember the epicness of those moments in edgeville gathering warriors to go into battle. Handing out capes, steel armor among other things. It was the amazing feeling of accomplishment when we could say we were the top fan site. I will be there this year to help the newcomers get blood on their rune weapons. I hope the other sites are ready to taste my two hander and scimmy.
  20. I'd be out there contributing to global warming, wasting my money on things I don't need. I'd rather pay 5 dollars a month so I don't waste half the money I would if I didn't.
  21. I'm at 495 out of 496 and I don't hoard junk, I just keep full sets of everything and keep adding to them which I love to have bank savers for. I can always use more bankspace.
  22. In the end this economy is fearful of losing any money in an item, so instead of holding onto it everyone does sell on the downturn and buy on the upturn. I don't think you can change millions of peoples thoughts so they don't sell on the way down. I just kind of ride every wave, selling at the peak and buying at the bottom of the hill.
  23. I would love you guys to add me, I forgot about this. 777thzapster P2P
  24. If you have high defence, use slayer helm and best armor and go in chaos tunnels. If you have low defence, but good range, bring anti fire pots and range them. If you hate bronze dragons, skip them.
  25. I love how every thread about fletching, firemaking, and cooking capes gets bashed, yet just because some other skills take less, time but more money it automatically makes those capes better. We are all biased on which cape has more respect or takes longer to get or costs more money. The fact of all this is someone cared enough about that skill and devoted enough time and money toward it to achieve their goal. The whole reason that we are biased is because we like certain skills over other or feel that one skill has more use after a certain level. Kietaro brings up a good point that we should give credit for any cape instead of name calling and flaming each other for what skills we have highest. No matter what, everyone is going to have their opinion and not like the other person because of theirs.
