  1. Nadril, I've read all the above posts... However, I'm curious... Have you tried attaching a USB hub to the ports on the back of your computer, and then attaching the keyboard through that? Call me crazy, but I think the PC is recognizing the keyboard way differently based on where it is connected. :-k ~D. V. "Always a crazy possibility..." Devnull
  2. 11,474 With a thread like this, the trick is to keep the ball rolling. ;) ~Mr. D. V. "Learn the tricks..." Devnull
  3. ClareJonsson and slymongoose, you both misinterpret myself and sbrideau deeply. ... We meant to expound in a humorous manner upon the lesson and show that it wasn't just limited to one version and/or one flavor of Windows. Further, we meant to show that this has been an issue all through the history of the existence of Windows as the OS it has evolved into, and that learning such is a good thing to have learned. We really didn't mean to be offensive in any way, shape, and/or form. Please, re-read those posts with a 'giant keg' of humor taken into account? Thanks in advance! :) ~Mr. D. V. "We are not as we seem." Devnull
  4. One last recommendation, then... Delete the old bookmark and create a new one from the actions you just took, otherwise this problem could occur again. :geek: ~D. V. "You don't want that happening." Devnull
  5. (Attention: Poor attempt at humor in post... I'm posting while I have a headache. :-X ) I'm beginning to miss him already! :( If that's the case, then either use a Google Image Search to find some wallpaper, or re-trigger the bug (LOL... ...) that you tripped over. I'd recommend the former over the latter, however. :geek: ~D. V. "LOL ... Are you sure?" Devnull
  6. A finality to this mess... No, really, are you that thick? Very far from anything close to thick... Although, I've had a couple nervous breakdowns recently. Either way, quit being a ridcule-using [bleep], and have more maturity, would you? :) As for the main topic, cool down a bit... Please keep in mind that when Skatedog's problem first began, I was thinking it was far worse problems. I could be overthinking it, but for all we know, this could reappear. To be honest, it is better to prepare for the worst, even if we hope for the best. (I'd be glad if the problem didn't reappear, anyway!) : ... And yes, I know, I'm usually "Mr. Doomsday"... But if someone wasn't, who knows how bad on luck we'd all be?!?!? (LOL! ...) ~Mr. D. V. "The Anti-Adversarial One" Devnull
  7. 11,477 Strange....... :uhh: ....... Probably just a coincedence. ~D. V. Devnull
  8. Lol, they even got the colour right. I know... I'm reveling in it. ~Mr. D. V. "Oh, Yes!!!" Devnull
  9. 11,481 ... Next page, please? I don't think the Mods will let us make another one this big... Just look at how long this one is running for so far... Then think about how much longer a bigger one would run. :geek: ~D. V. "That might not work..." Devnull
  10. Just because I was interested, I cleared my cache for the second time, and then it worked. Don't know why it didn't work the first time...Oh well, it worked, and Mr. T is gone. That's kinda odd... Why only have to clear cache twice to fix? Unless, it somehow had been in a page that was open... To which it would then cause the cache to not clear it on principle of rendering a page that happened to be up. Although, wouldn't that mean there is a serious cross-domain scripting hole in Chrome??? :-k As for this... Not a troll... Just a 'TIF-fanatic'... If it weren't for bank space issues, I might have joined the MSSW4 this year. :wall: ~D. V. "Mind-numb-ing-ly confusing..." Devnull
  11. No, system specs are not necessary for this. Agreed... At the time, I was thinking this was bigger than just a browser issue. In retrospect, I see it is just a browser issue. Sorry for the confusion. ~D. V. "Confounded unintentional mistakes!" Devnull
  12. Meh.....Maybe I'm just a lot more careful with my msconfig than the average user, and that's why I'm able to rely on that method more. -.- (Off-Topic: BTW, quit trying to start something with your insults aimed at my 'thought-in-quotes' signatures. It really doesn't say much for people's IQ/maturity when they start firing those kinds of insults. :shame: ...) ~D. V. "Carefulness Counts..." Devnull
  13. When it does THAT to Tip.It Forums? :o HELL [bLEEP] YES, WE WANT THAT GONE!!! Seeing 'Mr. T' all over one of our most favorite forums on the web is a downright disgrace to these forums. That, and I think Skatedog might be having a hard time reading some of the heading text, which isn't great when a person is trying to do stuff. Further, I'm not seeing this behavior here with FF 2.x-series, so I know the problem is isolated to Skatedog's computer, which means something has gotten on there that should never have. :ugeek: ~Mr. D. V. "Son of a [bleep], that REALLY shouldn't be there..." Devnull
  14. Scan for spyware/malware... It looks like something got through a hole in Google Chrome. :geek: ~Mr. D. V. "Your browser can not be bug-free." Devnull
  15. Your neighbors(if you have wireless)? lol ya. Actually no, our router is password protected, so were all good. Saying know one could have guessed or cracked it? LOL! ... Would be kinda sad if the pass on the wireless was that weak. :P ~D. V. "Oh, geez... LOL!" Devnull
  16. To philipj -- PLEASE provide system specs. We really can not help you that much without them. :geek: To everyone else -- QUIT BEING NASTY LIKE THIS!!! Let's help this person, with at least the thought that they might be insanely latched onto IE for one reason or another. Trying to ignore a problem will only make it worse in the long run! :shame: ~D. V. "Dag-nab-bit!!! Get your heads on straight already!!!" Devnull
  17. Is there any way you can try FF2 without messing up FF3? I am currently running WinXP SP2, FF 2.x-series, JRE+JDK (1.6-series) 6u6, and a GeForce 7300 GT (512 MB DDR2) with absolutely ZERO problems here. :geek: About all I can figure is that, at the moment, Jagex blew it with FF 3.x-series. There are other people having similar problems, and I've noticed most of them are running a browser later than FF 2.0.0.16 ... :( ~D. V. "I'm sure that shouldn't be happening to you." Devnull
  18. bongo870, could we please have a listing of your system specs? (e.g.: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT COMPRISES WHAT YOU'RE USING TO ACCESS RUNESCAPE!) At the moment, you are being as clear as mud, which really does NOT lend well to anyone helping you. -.- Thanks in advance. ;) ~Mr. "We Need Details!" Devnull
  19. I actually like them, makes me laugh a bit after a hard day ;). Always glad to give a good laugh out. :) Neway, on topic: What urbestfriend said is true, it's a lot more safer to kill processes there than doing it in msconfig. Unless it knocks your PC so unstable that you can't shutdown or reboot or do anything other than hitting the power switch. Further, msconfig can actually show you stuff that you really don't want to be messing with there. (e.g.: The option to hide critical/essential processes... At least, it was there the last I'd heard/remembered.) :-k ... And of course, there is the ever-infamous "Safe Mode" option for booting with in the event something is killed that really shouldn't have been. Which, BTW, if you do kill something that critical with msconfig, it should fly near straight into Safe Mode, instead of trying to run in that 'ganked' state, so you can instantly undo what you did before it can have any bad consequences. : ~D. V. "That's odd... I heard otherwise." Devnull
  20. 11,493 <*DVD comes walking out of the kitchen with a huge plate of cookies...*> I said these would be coming after 11,500... Dig in, folks. 8-) ~D. V. "Rewards do happen..." Devnull
  21. Check your Java Console... it will tell you what is up. ... BTW, please let us know what it says. :geek: ~D. V. "Go look, please." Devnull
  22. Here are RuneScape.com's five IP Addresses. Maybe one will work for you for accessing RuneScape... :geek: 64.79.147.125 168.75.184.51 168.75.183.51 82.211.114.81 82.211.114.127 If you can't get any to work for you, then all you can do is talk with your rather stupid-minded parents. :ugeek: ~Mr. D. V. "I really hate [bleep]ing idiots." Devnull
  23. TheLeonardo, a super-serious note of warning here... Terminating items on the "Processes" tab of task manager can result in system instability and crashes. Only terminate something if you can identify it as being bad. Otherwise, you should leave it alone. :ugeek: (Personally, I would 'monkey' with my startup settings long before I would go hard-terminating anything on that tab!!!) BTW, could we have a HJT log, please? We might be able to tell if anything does need a knockdown in your startup section. :-k ~Mr. D. V. "Yeah, you don't want to bug that." Devnull
  24. UPDATE!!! HOLY [bLEEP], this suggestion has happened!!! "15 October 2008 - PvP Worlds" (http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=1442) Wow... and only hours after I began supporting... ~Mr. D. V. "Like, whoa..." Devnull (@ TIF Mods: Please pardon the double... I felt that there was simply too much time between my previous post and now.)
  25. 11,508 Alright, time for another music video... " " by AnimusicLLC hyCIpKAIFyo&fmt=18 More to come... 8-) ~Mr. D. V. "Ahhhhhhhh, animated music..." Devnull
