I'll agree this would be nice. But, I think we need at least a few things fixed before something like this is implemented. Sad to say, a few things still aren't working right, including "signature customization", "report cancellations", and "post access paths", just to name a mere few. Also, is there going to be any way to specify video sizes with this? Seriously, I think it would be fair to account for those who wrote their vids in a WideScreen resolution, or made them awfully small at their original size. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Forum is coming back but :(
D. V. Devnull replied to Silverion's topic in Announcements, Rules and Security Warnings!
So many good things that were wiped out, all those happy memories, great screenshots, signature avatar ideas, parts of the Tip.It Great Pic Submissions, etc. that existed... *sigh* ... Like a few posters on previous pages, I'd like to know who the backstabber is that committed this heinous act! On the bright side, this gives new life to anyone with recent major mistakes. Hopefully, they'll never make those mistakes again. (BTW, they know who they are. I'm NOT going around naming anyone here!) (OT @ Tripsis --- If you see a report marker on your post above me on page 10 of this thread, please disregard. I tried to cancel out of the thing when I noticed there was no usable way to report the odd text I'm seeing in your location section. Unluckily, I encountered a blank page, and had to hop back 2 pages, and for all I know, a report was sent in by accident.) One last thing... LONG LIVE TIP.IT!!! ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
I just discovered I'm unable to tweak my signature at this time, and I'm certain this is affecting everyone else with an elaborate signature. Before, it had a "counted by what would be displayed" system. Now, it has a "counted by actual BBcode and everything" system. What caused me to post about this? There is no way to maintain my current signature from the rollback, if I wish to tweak it at this time. I'd love to be able to update it with a couple things, but until whoever's handling this fixes it, I'm stuffed. (BTW, I'm not particularly angry, unlike how this post sounds... I'm just bugged by how my text doesn't connect with my stat sig, which was apparently caused by my request to the update script on RuneWeb to update my stats.) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull (@Ginger: Thank you for teaching me I'm going to need to hit the Preview a bit more often now. LOL!)

Just for reference, I'd simply like to have the look and feel of the "SubSilver" theme back. Most users should know how that theme looks, I hope? It is the default for PhpBB2, after all. BTW, I'm glad to see that Tip.It Forums found a quick way to throw the "quick info" data to the left on ProSilver. ~D. V. Devnull

It would appear that Tip.It's "Avatar Upload" function is disabled at this time. You'll need to host your avatar off-site, at one of those image hosting places. I personally recommend http://www.photobucket.com over any other, just due to how awesome it is to organize and control everything. @ Main Topic --- BTW, bug-wise, I noticed it is not possible to access a Global Announcement through the "Announcements, Rules, & Security Warnings" Forum, then reply to it. It appears that you have to access through "General Discussion" before you can reply to it, and I think that's a bug needing a good squashing. BTW, I'm glad to see the forums back up and running. Heck, I'd use some emotes to exclaim my excitement, but that jerk that ganked the forums blew them away. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Looks good, although we will probably need a spell check inside that hide tag. Something's not right, I think. :-k ~D. V. Devnull

Hello, SirHemen. I support your idea, seeing as it gives no unfair advantages to anyone who is in an F2P world, and it would help too many of my P2P friends when they're short on money but still want to be able to play RuneScape with their buddies in F2P while they work on building back up the $$$ to go P2P again. (Off-Topic: SirHemen, due to the rule changes, your thread is once again legal in these forums. Good Luck to you. :) ...) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

What was the problem then? :-s ~Mr. Devnull

Bloodredsword, if you're on a laptop like Errdoth was, it could be it just can't handle it. :| (This is just my opinion, so I'm going to sit back and wait for replies to this thread. It looks to be another learning experience for me.) ~Mr. Devnull

Nice article, but I'm about to deliver a devastating blow to "The Editor" that they never saw coming... Editor, did you ever realize that most of us with a proper mind about this matter are without a voice due to the n00bs out there, who didn't think before they just flamed Jagex? While young and idiotic children are getting their not-so-smart parents to pay $5/month (which also allows them to stupidly spam the forums instead of realize what is going on), those who are smart are as equally stuck in the ever-sad lifestyles where we don't have the ability to pay for P2P, either because of idiots who ruined our life or the lives of our parents, and are therefore left without the ability to voice ourselves as the F2P'ers we are stuck as. :notalk: So even when the smart ones try to change things, it always backfires because not enough of us can connect. :wall: Hey, here's an idea: Write an article that causes a sudden and immediate congregation of the smart ones in F2P RuneScape. Cause them to want to join the few that have actually tried, and get them up and going again. <*grabs The Editor by the shirt and throws them so hard that they fly back to Tip.It HQ, and right back into their work seat.*> ~Mr. D. The "Willow Comp. Bow" is not more powerful than a "Maple Shortbow" or "Maple Longbow", is it? If it is not, then I don't see the justification for the extra price. :-s ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

!~The Official TipIt Teamcape~Team 39-Green~Post Pics Here~!
D. V. Devnull replied to angry555's topic in General Discussion
Unless people want to buy your capes like crazy. (Yes, I had to find the hole in that. LOL!!! :XD: ...) ~Mr. Devnull -
In short, find the user known as "Zezima", explain your case to him and hope you can get a hold of the number for "Andrew Gower @ Jagex Towers"... If that attempt fails, you're [bleep]ed totally. :? ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Wait... you have level 50 already?!?!? GO FISH SOME SWORDFISH ALREADY!!! ~Mr. Devnull Swordies are a waste of time in my opinion.. Only time i'd ever recommend this is if your going on a pk trip (oh wait.. that's dead. -.- ) in f2p. They're real hard to sell, as opposed to raw lobsters. ZOMG... is PK'ing in F2P all you can think about?!?!? I can think of four better reasons for fishing Swordfish (and not Lobsters) in F2P other than PK'ing... [*:2sp05dqx]Trips to Karamja remain constantly fueled by the Tuna (which you fish but don't want) because you can sell them to the General Store. This allows you to come away from the island with quick rack-ups of Swordfish (and as equally, some extra gp) after each jaunt. [*:2sp05dqx]When heading to what the wildi has become, with Swordfish in hand, you can survive longer than you would with Lobsters in battles with Revenants and other monsters, at Clan Wars, at the Duel Arena, and in Bounty Hunter. (This has allowed me to leave Clan Wars and the Duel Arena, which I have been at, with a few extra wins under-the-belt.) [*:2sp05dqx]When training versus high-level monsters of any kind, with Swordfish in hand, you can train for longer than you can with Lobsters. This is great when you've been out on Crandor for a while and need to escape easily with a minimum of food, as well as when you've been wanting to train for longer periods on Lesser Demons, Moss giants, and those blasted ice creatures. This is also great when you don't have enough prayer levels and you run into a nasty random like the 'Evil Chicken', the Mega-'Zombie', the 'Shade', and/or the 'Tree Spirit'. (I hate the "pull-you-in effect" that the 'Evil Chicken' loves to do.) 8-) [*:2sp05dqx]For lower levels, fishing and using Swordfish in battle allows them to risk it more of the time, and survive for far longer periods than they normally would be able to with stuff like shrimps and herring. That's a blazing huge advantage, no matter whether they are training, fighting in quests, or doing something else. :P In short, it doesn't matter what you're doing, you'll live longer with Swordfish than you will with Lobsters, and that's what makes fishing them worth it. : For that matter, with how the G.E. and the rest of the market is these days, it doesn't matter what gp you can gain, just the exp. No one wants to pay for labor and time spent anymore. -.- Get the point now? ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Stats & scroll bar - Does it annoy you? Then read this.
D. V. Devnull replied to @Dan3HitU's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
3_Hit_U and Kemikalkadet, I support both of your ideas as to how the skills pane should be re-done. Anything to get away from another miserable scroll bar in a bad place. (Even though I still wish that the magic thing had its' scroll bar... don't know why, but that worked better for me... :-k ...) When it comes to stats, people don't like scrolling when they're trying to read fast and weigh several things at once. (I know this from experience.) ... The only exception, in my opinion, was the magic spellbook page. Side note for all: Jagex should make a quest that will allow players to swap books at will without traveling to special places afterward. (Just my opinion.) ~Mr. Devnull -
Is there anyone else who likes this idea set? :-s (BTW, Free Bump. : ...) ~Mr. Devnull

Kinda sad, actually. I'd love to have the drops. :P im preaty sure the securety guard doesnt drop anything :x Unless I miss my memory, he does have drops, but you have to talk to him to get them? On the other hand, I don't think I'd included him in the context of my reply. ~Mr. Devnull

Nice sneak-in while I was editing my last post here and doing some clean-up on the back end. I agree with this idea, and support it. It would sure help with community relations. Guess I'll stick around and keep an eye out. :P ~Mr. Devnull

Ugh. 10?!?!? WT[bleep]?!?!? <*Falls over from the shock...*> ... I'm only asking for a max of 2 or 3 people allowed to be sent to with 1 PM, not 10. 10 is just [bleep]-ing ridiculous and totally unnecessary. If someone needs to talk with 10 people simultaneously, they either need to use an IM program, use IRC, take it to RuneScape, start a forum thread, or all meet up in real life. Why? That's larger than just a small group... it's a setting for a dinner meet! :| With this kind of frustration, I give up. <*Rolls his eyes  and leaves the thread.*> ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Can't help with that, I'm F2P and only understand the cross-links between F2P and P2P. :? If you're going to high-alch, then rack up a stack of Mithril Bars (about 500 at first) and make them into the highest thing you can after racking them up, preferably with the use of Dwarven Stouts to aid you in maximum GP gains. I'm actually using this method myself right now, while aiming for 70 smithing, and already have level 60. Go with the willows until wc 75. I've actually had to switch back down to them simply because I can't get many Yews at a time from the Yew Trees, which were supposed to yield a lot. :| You're welcome, glad to help. : ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

It's not crowded at all. I go there all the time and there it's empty on most worlds. I'll bet that is due to the Revenants, if you're referring to the wildi? :-k ~Mr. Devnull

But you would be a great mentor. Pardon me while I only say this: ROTFLMDCFLYAO :XD:  :P  (Yes, you're that funny, the both of you.) Yes, but we're unable. : Which really stinks, skatedog111. Recently, I noticed a couple of threads where I wished to PM both the Mod that locked them because I felt it was unfairly locked for some reason, and send a copy simultaneously to an Admin because I felt that they needed to have a word with the Mod. For example, this one: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=731170 I'm not particularly out to shame someone here. But I did want to make a point in regard to the mass PM issue. BlueLancer misinterpreted the thread as just another picture to drop in the pictures thread, but the person who made the thread, sarge1010, was trying to discuss the strange change in their signature, which affects all RuneWeb.Net signature users, and possibly understand why it was occurring. Well, I could see I might not get anywhere by PM-ing the Mod, and thought that If I could have involved an Admin simultaneouly from the start, there might have been a chance of getting the thread unlocked for further discussion. Maybe we could have a small mass PM ability, like 2 or 3 users at the same time at maximum, just for these kinds of things? Or possibly a "Wrongful Lock" report option that would only be usable in the event that a thread was locked? Maybe further limited by time and/or quality of posts within the total post count, which would limit it to those who were actually reasonable community members? :-s ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

AGS and SGS: Will Jagex intervene?
D. V. Devnull replied to TheAncient's topic in General Discussion
Hyjack01, I agree. They need to fix what is wrong before they unleash the next part, or the next part will be a mess too. ~Mr. Devnull -
I think something that Killerred005 is getting at is the fact that some people are too scared to ask out of fear of rejection. At the same time, however, I understand why polls would need to be controlled, even though I feel that people's thinking/creativity should not be squashed as much as is possible. Maybe limit insta-poll-enables where Mods/Admins don't have to be PM'ed to just members who have been around a while AND are making a thread with at least a reasonable point only then, and with the penalty in place that failing to have such a reasonable point, as well as having the poll be a part of such would result in loss of privelege? I know it would mean that on the first or second mistake that a person would be permanently shot, but it is the best I can think of. :-s ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
