  1. Meh... if she's enough of a doormat to settle for FwB despite clearly not being happy with just that, go for it. Can't guarantee it's going anywhere nice, though... but it don't bother me at the end of the day and it's your choice. I kind of got the impression RPG isn't bothered about being friend zoned here. Maybe I read it wrong.
  2. They were good friends, so he says. You'd have to be really lacking in sensitivity to shag her, tell her you're not interested in anything more than that when she so obviously is, and still expect the friendship to be all sunshine and rainbows while you go off looking for other girls you do want something more with.
  3. She was begging you to sleep with her last night when you were blind drunk, and now she's asking for a relationship? Imagine the blackmail if you had gone through with it. Someone's a bit clingy.
  4. In most social situations, there exists a need to physically express tolerance and affection towards other people in that same social group. Sitting next to someone while you eat dinner is a small example, but it demonstrates that you're at ease with that other person being inside your "personal space". Body language is also an immensely important part of communicating, which is obviously a key skill in being able to socialise with other people; that's why people use "smileys" even in text-based communication, such as a forum like this. If you're in a relationship, try going a day without being physically able to tell your partner how you feel about them; it becomes very difficult and a lot of the meaning gets lost. Just to underline my point, ask any salesperson about how effective subtle touches are at establishing rapport with prospective clients, whether it's a handshake or a hand on the shoulder--it demonstrates trustworthiness and a mutual respect to the other person. Physical displays of affection are obviously impossible to replicate in RuneScape, hence why it's generally not an appropriate substitute to interacting with people in reality. We all have a need to communicate ourselves properly to other human beings, and also have other people communicate with us in return. Additionally, most of what Facebook is all about isn't actually talking to people online necessarily, it's actually more about organising social activity with people you would otherwise know in reality anyway. So things like arranging to meet up in a cafe, going on a night out with friends, or classmates supporting each other through assignments. If I talk to people over Facebook, it's either an odd comment as opposed to a full-blown conversation, or it's talking to people I can't physically talk to (due to geography, cost etc.).
  5. Ahh, I'm following you now. ;)
  6. Two kids, you mean? :P In the sense that the rules are too restrictive, or that there's too many moderators, full stop?
  7. This has to be the best/worst thread bump in Forum.Tip.It history.
  8. Your WTC build didn't impress me that much, but that had more to do with thinking the real thing was a giant eyesore in the first place. Not that I could anything to that scale. That, however, is ridiculously good.
  9. So I caved in and bought the PC version as well. This game is much harder. I don't even get a map at the spawn, so I've got to dig all the way down for redstone, and the creepers don't fall for the "trap them behind two blocks" trick... they just go round them. Plus I've never really PC gamed before so the WASD controls are all very confusing. :( FML.

Melee was the best, tbh. I'm actually looking through your first posts now. There's some fantastic posts which I really want to post here, but I won't through fear of you doing the reverse. :P
  11. Isn't making reference to the "spirit of the game" essentially an appeal to nature? Just because something is outside of how the creator envisaged it originally, doesn't mean to say it's wrong. I disagree that Vann's actions were in the right, but you can't use that as a justifiable argument to say he was in the wrong either.
  12. Now the question is how many days he's been killing the KBD for :P . Thank goodness someone decided to read more than four words.

Is it the same cringe you feel whenever you look back through your first TIF posts?

Let's just drop it. Aside from going nowhere but a shit storm, it's pretty selfish of us to lumber the mods with more work, which inevitably this 'debate' would end up doing.

This sentiment is ridiculous, and is an example of why I cringe at such overt displays of patriotic nationalism. A guy could murder, rape and steal from his own family, but you could still see good in him because he happened to be born in the same country as you? Someone else does the same thing in a different country, and presumably you wouldn't be so generous with your forgiveness? Ludicrous.
  16. Jealous. Although, it's a good job he didn't run into Steven Gerrard at a bar...
  17. Ginger_Warrior replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Well I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't order you to take plenty of fluids and two paracetamol four hourly (unless you're allergic). :P If you put a bet on Jorge Mario for the Pope @ 33/1 from Paddy Power, well played. I'm guessing that's no-one here, though.
  18. Well... that's because Halo's a far superior game to CoD. And Battlefront superior to both. There's no debate to be had there. :P Nah, just joking. I don't see one person posting crap on this thread as evidence that the community is divided. You get idiots in every community. That doesn't just apply to RuneScape, I mean every community. For example, WoW players might use him as evidence that RuneScape is full of idiots when that's clearly not the case, nor is it vice versa.

It isn't for most people, tbh. What are you sick with?
  20. Ladies and gentlemen, please:
  21. I'm not comfortable with the idea that someone can get lucky and loot someone else's stuff if they happen to be at the right place at the right time. It's not a fair means of wealth distribution at all. The one thing we're all agreed on is that effort ∝ reward; we mainly disagree on how proportional. There's no effort in watching someone else die; why should it bring you any reward? On the other hand, it has made PvM far too "safe".
