Yay for unfair bans!
Yeah, I've got 11.5 years too. Just wait until 2023, it's not that long and I'm sure RuneScape will still be around...

Today...
Most of the dicks who were like "RuneScape? Not in my OT!" have kind of left now. The ones that meant it dead seriously, I mean, not the ones who were just joking around. I think these days, most OTers still play RuneScape, even if only on a casual basis. If you buy normal RuneScape membership, 07scape is free for the next six months, I'm lead to believe. I'm not playing it myself though. Perhaps someone else could confirm.

Icefiends/Slayer XP nerfed to the ground
The only valid reason for using a shield against a Mithril Dragon would be antifire, for those without 84+1 herblore. I'm not sure why you would use an arcane in those circumstances, except to look fancy maybe. The damage reduction is surely countered by the far superior damage caused by staves/dual wields.

Squeal of fortune misleading odds
It isn't gambling because at no opportunity can you hope to gain any return from buying all the spins in the first place. Each spin earns you an in-game item for your character, all of which remain property of Jagex. The only possible way you could "cash in" would be to engage in RWT, which would involve breaking the terms and conditions you signed when you created the account. Any suggesting that this is a form of gambling works on the premise that, once won, the items are now your property, which is utterly untrue and grossly misinformed.

4th March - The World Wakes
I think the multitude of bugs and glitches found in Skyrim prove just how hard it is for game designers to accommodate for personal choices in major storylines in an RPG setting. I won't bag on Jagex for not making the choices as open-ended as most people would have liked or expected. Apart from that, if they had brought in full choice and this had impacted on the quest rewards available (say you chose Guthix, and Char tells you to do one after) there'd be no end to the whining on RSOF and here. For the most part, the quest was an exercise in making you feel as though you were key to the future direction of the world. Previous quests have been more about you, a normal civilian turned adventurer, happening to be at the right place at the right time, accidentally stumbling from one disaster to the next but somehow getting through it. They left the impression that anyone capable enough, given the same set of circumstances, would have performed just as well. TWW is the first time the player character is shown to be a hero in his/her own right, someone on whom the whole story pivots on their actions and choices.

4th March - The World Wakes
They ran through the Void Knight storyline quite quickly, if I recall correctly. It's not like the old days where we used to have to wait two years for each sequel, it now seems to be much more concentrated on doing storylines at a time rather than quests at a time.

[hide=]The conveyor belts change direction once for every time the rotating platforms change twice. There's small arrows on the belt running in the direction the belt is moving towards. The belt is green one way, and blue when it's running the other way.[/hide]

A word on the tile puzzle, not a spoiler. If it glitches, logging out will reset the tiles back to their original position. Although it's designed to do that in the first place, the pressure pads seem to be glitching, not rotating back if the boulder breaks, making the puzzle impossible to complete. Resetting the puzzle in this way resets the puzzle for that particular boulder dispenser, not the whole thing over again.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
She found a new partner and they were engaged. Not sure if they got married eventually. Was she pregnant with a second? I knew about Raiden, that was the lad from the first marriage. Ohhh wait, Xavier was the second... of course. I also recall she had a degree in psychology, and was working as a kind of teaching assistant / support worker in a school for children with learning disabilities IIRC. Very knowledgeable, great person. Sumpta was another frequent visitor of this thread in particular, she's still active on the general board and is six DG levels off maxed total level in RuneScape.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
It is a fantastic environment to meet new people, totally agreed; really go out to as many parties as you can and make the most of it because you only get to do it once in your lifetime. I would provide one slight caveat: Most people don't settle into their eventual friendship groups in the first fortnight, most form after a couple of months at least, going into the second term after Christmas, so if you find the first week or two completely overwhelming or you notice that other people have made more friends than you, I wouldn't be too alarmed by that. One thing I couldn't recommend more is getting involved in your union, or whoever's responsible for running societies. Societies are a fantastic way of meeting new people because everyone there already shares a common interest with you, and that it makes it so much easier to use as a platform for getting to know the rest about them. Compared to some random stranger in your flat who, actually, you might not share anything in common with. The same also applies to coursemates; you're doing the same subject because you all have some interest in that subject, and you're all in this together. As for girlfriends... the only pressure about finding a girlfriend is the pressure you put on yourself. Being in a relationship is not the be-all and end-all of life--being happy is, and people who use relationships as a means of making themselves happy usually wind up doing the opposite. You can do things that make you more interesting or attractive to girls, but it will still "happen when it happens". Don't be so down on yourself.
