  1. Thank god for Soul Split, high hits were getting out of hand Hit a 40 with whip with turmoil turned on, get healed 10 Can't wait to see prayer flashers using this (ME included - it still works somewhat lol) Also I wonder if the 10% boost to strength from turmoil works against NPC's?
  2. Then you fail. Players made the hype NOT jagex. If you re-read the tweet it fits EXACTLY with what we have been given No need to be a little punkass about it. I'm far from the the only one who was expecting much, much more
  3. They sure overplayed this update, what with the tweet they gave on the English twitter
  4. If it weren't for that overhyped tweet I would have loved this update But because of said tweet, now I am extremely let down.
  5. Because you guys have gotten all the content the last 4 years-ish now I have incentive to play and level
  6. Well aparently there may be some form of a prayer update soon, based on something smellysocks said in a different thread and this speculation about there being a new icon for the prayer menu (on the runescape kb - prayer guide)
  7. Looking at my last post, I guess I didn't really answer your question. In your case, a Wolpertinger would work best against someone in Ranged Defensive gear
  8. I can't remember where I read it, but I do remember reading somewhere that a player's summoning defence bonus, as well as their normal defence bonuses / levels both play a part in determining how effective a familiar's attack will be. From what I read, a player's normal defensive bonus / levels determine the likelyhood of hitting with a familiar, and the summoning defence bonus determines how high the familiar will be able to hit on a fairly controlled basis, a la elysian / divine spirit shields. Again I don't remember if I read tha on RSOF or on a fansite, but it seems fairly accurate sounding lol. hope that helps
  9. while I appreciate all the suggestions being made, it wasn't what I had in mind for the thread itself. I only threw a couple of my ideas in to possibly spark the main question which was; If this was something you'd like to see implemented, and to see how plausible it could be, or how much sense it could make.
  10. I posted this before the herblore update, so a magic boosting prayer was osmewhat plausible
  11. Good luck to those looking to train herblore... One of the most expensive skills just became the most expensive haha

  13. By Skillers, I mean those who train skills, not just the level 3's. Also I remember a JMod state he liked the idea of skill complementing prayers. Then again they are sometimes very contradiciting of each other. Besides, Summoning is a combat skill, yet I can think of almost no skill it doesn't help in some way.
  14. I would arrange ways to talk to my runescape friends with other programs, like messengers or other games. Then I would buy 600 million needles and die in the abyss
  15. Recently I heard Jagex plans to introduce some new prayers soon... can't confirm this myself but I'm fairly certain I read it from a Jagex mod. Anyways, that's fine and dandy to get more of the same stuff, meaning turn on a prayer, desired effect achieved. I started thinking what prayer this newest batch will contain, and Ranged / Magic prayers similar to Melee's piety came to mind... (Hopefully these magic prayers would have a damage boosting effect like some staves now). Maybe even some damage reducers, a la the Divine and Elysian spirit shields. I've also often heard suggestions to make prayers to complement skillers, maybe allowing faster woodcutting or a better chance of high level herbs.. But what about something completely different? A couple ideas I had swimming around in my head were things like temporary imbuing of items; spending x prayer points to increase offensive or defensive bonuses for items for y minutes. Or perhaps blessing crop patches to increase not only crop yield, but experience yield as well. Running back and forth to an altar could offset the obvious advantage (There are probably better ways to circumvent this problem-- they escape me right now) Even something as original as using shade or vyrewatch corpses on items to give them a prayer bonus? (with a cap). This was just something I had been thinking about for a bit, and wondered if my fellow Tipiter's had some similar thoughts. Please discuss
  16. I think they do it on purpose honestly... Jagex addsdrops that look similar just to mess with you... Black sword on the bloody square = whip Steel 2hander = Granite Maul Black 2hander = Dark Bow Red Vambraces = Any Good Red Item Range pot = Arma hilt Might be a stretch but Brew + Magic potion drop = Sara hilt They even went as far to give Dwarf Cannoneers a Steel full helm drop, which sadly looks like a hand cannon on the ground etc... I think it's done purposely lol

  18. Very informative. Cool stuff in there. Hopefully that lovely compliment secured me those pencils!
  19. Perhaps some tweaks to the shops, or maybe saying "tough"
  20. I voted for Excl I hoped to see Martie's and Ant's up, they both worked hard on theirs as well. I also liked the Cops parody.
  21. But then the same logic would apply to my flared trousers and gnome scarf / goggles. Those extra mils would be of use. Not trying to sound cocky with this but money is not a concern of mine at all. Besides, EVERYONE knows RuneScape is just a huge fashion show.
  22. I could have sworn this was a Magic is underpowered! thread, looking back at the last two or so pages. I have gotten 6 Amulet of Ranging drops now, and I have sold all but one to keep for myself. Not because I need it or like Ranging, but because it's hot.
