Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Burst at lobsters. If you don't have the money, go to GWD and earn it, then burst. Faster to earn money and burst then anything else, including waterfiends (If you can make over 432k per hour, which is very, very easy at GWD)

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Take a screen shot of where you see the 930 Mhz processor, its been a loooooong time since they were that slow, so I'm assuming your looking at something else. But if your processor is at 930 Mhz, you'd have to upgrade your motherboard, power supply, hard drive, CPU, fans, memory, and well... Just about everything. It'd be cheaper to buy a new computer.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Its a measurement of how many million computing cycles or simple operations (hz) can be performed in one second. So a 3.66 Mhz processer can do 3,660,000 operations in a single second. But can I play the new graphics? Its there instead of Ghz. Umm... Where? Your CPU clock speed? Your graphics card clock speed? Your FSB speed? Your RAM speed? It all depends, but you can just divide Mhz by 1024 (1000 in manufactures terms) to get Ghz.

rofl the same as mine :D then again i'm getting new labtop: 4gigabyte ram 1,93 duo-core 512mb geforce.(up to 1264mb split ram) Spend less on the graphics card and more on the processor, both are important for gaming and processor is more important for everyday use.

Integrated graphics, we need some more info from Jagex before we can find out if they can run it.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
64 is very, very rare. Many cards nowadays have both shared and built in memory. My card, for example, has 256 MB built in and ALSO uses the system ram when it is not needed. During heavy gaming it can have over 1.25 GB of memory, allowing it to cache textures and render frames ahead of those that are currently being used.

Lawl just asking more because I really want to play the new detail, straight from jagex they said: Since you said mine is quite good for integrated graphics does that mean I have a good chance? Or are there non integrated ATI Radeon that they mean? They also talk about how if your system isn't very old it should be fine, and mine is a little over a year. Also has 1 gig of RAM and the processor is 2.0.. so I figured the card should be fine but I'm not sure. They are talking about non integrated graphics; Nvidia only makes discreet (non integrated) graphics. They do talk about most newer computers running it, which gives us some hope. However, going off the specs alone, integrated graphics, which usually have 0 memory of their own, will not be able to run it. Jagex really should have provided more detail on this one, the best solution being a benchmarking program to tell you if you can and at what resolutions. Then again, perhaps we could all just wait a few weeks until it comes out.[/hide] One last question, and thanks for the help up to now. You said the integrated ones usually have 0 memory on their own, but when I go to DxDiag thing (way 2 on the main post), under the Approx total memory for my card, it says 318 MB. IIRC the thing said you need like 64... so does this give me hope or no? What that means is that your card is using your main system ram instead of its own memory, with two drawbacks. #1, the main one, is that it is much slower for it to access the main system memory vs. its own built in memory. ATI HyperMemery (included on that specific card) helps, but it is still much slower. #2, a smaller drawback, is that it reduces the amount of memory availble to your operating system. On more recent cards like this one, memory is released and allocated dynamically, so this is less of a concern.

If we're using hardware rendering, graphics card is more important. The "M" moniker means that it is mobile, and will be more powerful then the equivalent desktop processor (A 1.46 Ghz is approximately equal to a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 non-dual-core) However, the fact that it is Celeron instead of Pentium is a drawback (Half the L2 Cache). If you have a decent graphics card you should probably be able to run it, but with shared graphics you might have problems...

That's integrated graphics, not a real card, so it isn't that powerful. However, it is good for integrated graphics, so it may still be able to run it. We really need to wait until it comes out to find out more information, Jagex didn't really give many hints. Admittedly synthetic benchmarks do not exactly represent real-world performance, but they are far more accurate then clock speeds or memory size.

Waterfiend Setup
Don't use godsword or ring of wealth, godsword is proven slower and waterfiends rare drops are junk.

Ok, you need to un-confuse people. If it says Intel graphics card, REGARDLESS of the amount of memory, that means it is integrated graphics and it is "stealing" the memory from the main system memory. If your "graphics card" is Intel, you PROBABLY will not be able to run the new graphics, or the FPS will be too low to play effectively. Either way, forget about full screen. I guess it depends on what the margin of error is for the specs.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Not quite. If you have 4 year old integrated graphics, you probably won't be able to run it. Good excuse for a new computer :thumbsup:how you mean "4 year old integrated graphics, you wont probably wont be able to run it"? You said your computer is around 4 years old. Its running integrated graphics. Therefore, it probably won't be able to run it. What don't you understand?

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
That's because part of your ram (64 MB) is being given to the graphics card. Your probably going to need a ram and graphics update, both of which are fairly cheap. Or you could go buy a new computer from dell for ~800 that could run this and many other games without breaking a sweat. (If you know how to get the 450 off dell coupons and other such secret deals). So just a new RAM chip in it and i can play? =)Not quite. If you have 4 year old integrated graphics, you probably won't be able to run it. Good excuse for a new computer

From the looks of it, your laptop *can* play, but it'll be so painful that you'll never get a chance to go to a big city. :D Anyway, I wonder what a "cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep model\ name" says... model name : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-57 model name : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-57 2GB of RAM, and this processor's clocked in at 1.9GHz. Also have an nVidia GeForce 7000M on this lappy. Ooh, I feel *confident* that I meet these reqs. Even the machine I found -- Intel 2.93GHz with a gig of RAM -- can run this without any hiccups. By the way, I doubt that this graphics system is using DirectX. It's more or less using JOGL, so I doubt it'll matter whether or not you have DirectX, and I *seriously* doubt it'll help. @Faideelah: No dice, you need at least a 64MB card. Sorry. Every computer comes with DirectX, he's simply using the program to find the computer's specs.

Waterfiend Setup
Ah, yes. Forgot to mention that the invo is possibly the worst I've ever seen. Bring 2 bunyips, house teles, 3 pure sets, a couple of backup tuna potatos, and plenty of prayer pots. The guide itself is still good.

black bolts?
Nope. Used to be amazing for junk trading (Add super poison, able to make ~5M of junk per hour), but Jagex fixed that. They are garbage for training, as mith and addy bolts hit much better. Drop, or try to sell on the GE.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
I feel really sorry for you if you don't meet the minim reqs. Even integrated graphics should be able to handle it. Also ignore the 64 MB requirement, no graphics cards now days come with less, and those that do borrow from the shared system memory for a total of 256-512-1024 MB, so that requirement is basically met period. As for ram, 512 MB is the minimum virtually all computers are sold with, and 95% of them are 1 GB or over. As for the 1.5 Ghz, any of the newer processor would be fine. Even if you get a 1.4 Ghz mobile processor, it will run it fine as it is far more powerful then 1.4 Ghz back before SSE, MME, Multi-core, and power saving features. Bottom Line: Jagex should have provided far more detail, or a benchmarking program to determine if you can run it. Still, virtually any newer computer can. That's probably only for the 800X600 version, but judging by those requirements my laptop and any decent gaming rig should easily handle 1920X1200 w/ 4X anti-aliasing. EDIT: Read if your "graphics card" is Intel or ATI If your system uses Intel or some types of ATI graphics, that means that it is integrated graphics that take their memory from the main system memory. They may or may not be able to run the new Runescape graphics; Jagex has not released enough information about them to be sure one way or the other.

Waterfiend Setup
http://www.zybez.net/community/index.php?showtopic=1029727 Its zybez, but its the best guide for waterfiends I've ever seen, and the setup is the no-holds-barred best. If you have a bunyip you can use that instead of guthans.

Kalphite Queen question
Probably less then that, shes hard to solo. Best done with a godsword and black mask, my friend with maxed combat usually gets 2 kills per trip with war tortoise, godsword, and black mask. With veracs he sometimes gets 2 kills. I'd say you'll maybe get 1 kill, sometimes less. She may be old, but shes not that easy.

Bursts to 94
I get (very roughly) 1750k XP per 1k at the 7 lobs spot with 99 magic. We'll say 150K per hour for you. 3972318 XP from 87-94, so 3972318/150000 = 26.482 Assume 27k bursts, roughly 30M.

Dragon Killing: green melee, blue range!
Use an antifire shield. And no, don't range blue dragons. I did the timing once at 89 range, with addy bolts and range pots I got 196.8K per hour on average. Green dragons are 580K at my level, plus 150K worth of charms with the best gear and prayer. Not sure how avansies are doing now, but I'm guessing around 350K per hour and better range XP then blues. With my old method of rune knives I made around 550k per hour at avansies, but that's probably impossible by now.

Shared XP Whip
Yeah, I train controlled anyway. I'm just mad that godsword doesn't have a controlled slash option.
