The reason Lumbridge gets a make over so often is that its the first area of the game any new player will see. Similar for the rest of the f2p area, most new players will spend a lot of their time running around and Jagex want them to keep playing. They are after all a business. Every so often they'll redo a members area like Zanaris or the upcoming Fremmenik update but there's no point in redoing mostly members area if the f2p looks crap and no one becomes a member. If the game doesn't look aesthetically competent compared to other modern games, most new players wont give it the time of day. They do a pretty good job with the member areas updates and I agree that some of them will be amazing when there done. I'm disappointed that I'll have to wait as a paying member so they can draw in only potential paying customers.

I think it sounds like a alright month for updates but we shall see....

I started sometime around the end of 2001, before the the 2001 Halloween Drop. In those last 10 years, only racked up 90 days of play time :)

Hope the 10 Year Cape is only open to accounts 8+ years old when it comes to design.

I got the message too. No clan, no stats above 90, not a mod but I am a 10 year player. Might actually do it though, some of these activities I haven't tried like the Trawler.

Simple Answer: Self control. Its like pretty much anything, if it begins to consume your life, generally you alienate people. At least there are weekly updates and a large variety of things to do in RS, it must be worse for people addicted to things like Call of Duty were things get pretty monotonous (despite being a great game)

That the level 41 Scarabs from the quest Missing my Mummy count towards Scarabites for your slayer task? You can rest and bank at the same? That Dust Runes are cheaper to buy than Earth Runes? If a spell involves air and earth, you know what to do ;)

The Runner gets there 27 ess back noted PLUS 27 free law runes. The crafter gets to craft laws faster than normal because they dont have to leave the alter at the cost of no profit, only exp. Its just quick easy xp or easy laws.

It would be funny if someone made a bot killing bot, non profit of course. Auto lures guards and scorps :P

70+ in all skills 90+ in most combat skills and 99 Attack :D

This trailer made me think of WoW straight away, however cool it may be.

Circus and Pengs usually. Occasionally Tears of Guthix. The easy xp is very nice, for half an hours work you can get 100k+
