Revolution in Kyrgyzstan?
Excellent pictures, I feel sorry for both sides. Hopefully this means well for Kyrgyzstan, I'm quite uninformed about it.

Today...
Wait, what's a loser? I use my trampoline to practice for diving board tricks at the local pool (impressin' da ladies, aww jeah) but I've never heard of a loser. Describe. I recently mastered what I call the knee flip, where you jump, land on your knees, front flip, and land on your feet. Harder than it looks. A loser is the exact inverse of a gainer. With a gainer you do a backflip and land in front of the place where you started, with a loser you do a front flip and land behind yourself. Pretty dangerous, and as I don't have much use of it I've never really tried. Pfft knee flips. Try two front flips or backflips in a row, or a backflip and then a frontflip or vice versa. Man this makes me wish that we didn't have so much snow, I'm guessing that with this weather we'll be able to set the trampoline up in three weeks, can't wait. :D

iPad
Huh? There's nothing inherently bad about the iPhone or the app store. It could be better, yes, but it's not bad. The App store pretty much embodies all that open source is not about. You have to sign a legal agreement to start developing, the APIs themselves are mostly proprietary, Apple's app approval process is entirely opaque and apps are removed as it pleases Apple, which pretty much rules with an iron fist. Apps may not replace anything that comes with the iPod/iPhone (Mozilla can't put mobile Firefox on the App store because it already has Safari). Flash support can burn. I couldn't care less, although I must say it was still a bad decision on Apple's part.

Size 1 "0"
Yeah you are actually, if you own a copy. And I'm pretty sure it's something like if (! $text == ""). That's my guess, but to test it I'll try a post with just 0. Edit: Lol you're actually right, it wouldn't let me post only 0. Lazy coders. :P

^ Having played with the phpBB3 regex that defines BBcode, it's bound to be a lot more complex than that. (phpBB3 also had some problems with regex, like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki//Watchmen_(film) would show up as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki//Watchmen_(film) if I remember right, could be in some certain situation) Regex is annoying. I don't blame them.

vBulletin type of ignore list
I'm still trying to figure out what "it" refers to.

Size 1 "0"
That's certainly a bug in the the expression that looks for BBcode, suppose it should be reported. In the meantime, here's a workaround: To get this 0 use: [size="1"][font="Arial"]0[/font][/size] On 99% of all browsers that looks exactly the same as [size="1"]0[/size] should look.

I heard of a program that can share windows across X sessions but I never got it to work; I ended up just using Xinerama for my two displays (Which would obviously not work here). I believe it's called x2x, there are several programs I've seen like that.

Defrag
Yeah you should make it a habit to defrag pretty regularly (Like once per two weeks, I'm not sure). I've always used the one that comes with Vista/7, I really don't need much else and it runs at night anyway. How long could it take? Depending on the fragmentation of your HDD, it could take an hour or it could take half a day. My sister's laptop had never been defragged, she had had it for about a year then, I was going to install Linux on it and needed to partition it but before that I needed to defrag (As I couldn't allocate a single byte to the new partition, it was so fragmented). I let it run for hours, I never saw it finish. My sister left the next day on a trip so I'm not sure it even did finish. :| There's always next time I suppose. Moral of the story: Defrag.

How do I find out what language was used...?
^ Yeah I was going to tell you that, programs with interfaces that don't fit in are often written in Java. If you really wanted to find out, you could see which libraries the executable is linked to, but I don't know how to do that in Windows.

How do I find out what language was used...?
Well, unless it's some obscure/unusual program, you can usually find what language was used to create a program on Wikipedia. For example, Blender was written in C, C++, and Python. You can see that in the column on the right that has details about the program.

Omegle.
^ Whoa lol. I had managed to avoid listening to any of Lady Gaga's songs other than Poker Face and Bad Romance until now...

Removing an OS in a dual-boot.
Do you still have the install disc/USB for Ubuntu? (Assuming you installed it that way) First you should boot up from the Vista disc and have someone tell you what command to type into the command prompt (Something like fixboot). Back up everything you want on your Ubuntu partition first though, after doing that command boot from the disc/USB, go to System->Administration->Gparted, delete the unnecessary partition, go back to Windows and you should be able to expand C:\ from there. Although I can't imagine why you'd give up Ubuntu for Vista Basic.

Operation Internet Freedom
I was thinking of posting this, I've been following this for a while and it's gotten more and more scary. That about the EU is not true, however. They voted on it. This says it all. I'm glad I live in the EU. But I would like people to understand: This is not some /b/tard's idea of a joke, this is actually in the process of happening in the US and possibly other countries with internet freedom problems. It's good that /b/ is taking action on this, and I knew that they would, because they have a lot of influence and this is a good use of it.

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund
^ America's presidents are generally not trusted outside of the US, with Obama it's been different so far but I have this feeling it will change. Just thought some people would be interested: http://vimeo.com/8783351 Personally I think they're being honest. I see no reason why they would potentially make a scandal out of it, they're both rich, so they decided to use their money for good like Bill Gates.

Fibre Optic Broadband
Could try that, but Google's Finnish translation is patchy at best. It's also a bit strange that only one provider doesn't give me an error message that my address is not in their fiber optic area, as I believe that they all use the same infrastructure.

Less tolerance for the obnoxious
The problem as I see it is that I don't want to file so many reports, as I'm not always sure what's reportable and what's not, even though I've been around for a while. I mean, I report the obvious rule breaking things- Ads, censor evasion, spam etc. (And of course mistakes like wrong forum) but I don't know exactly where moderators draw the line when it comes to these kind of posts. It would be nice to have that cleared up.

Fibre Optic Broadband
Where are you geographically located? Also, who is your current internet provider? And who is your landline phone service provider? @Clare: Good luck on upgrading to Fibre-Optic Internet ... My parents and I are trying to upgrade here in the West USA also. :) ~D. V. Devnull My problem is mostly that all the websites are in Finnish, which I don't know so well (And they don't have the same thing in English or Swedish. :| )

Would like to make a game like Arena Scape
I started trying to program when I was 12, I totally failed but one day PHP clicked for me and I was coding for the crew when I was 14. It didn't work out with school so I had to leave, but I learned quite a bit there and now it has even influenced my choice of school. That's my programming life story in short but my point is that there is no reason why an 11 year old shouldn't be able to program. Personally I always recommend learning from books (Except for HTML, I learned that from my sister and hard knocks) so if you can pick up a book on PHP it should help you get this game started.

Some New Pics
I actually kind of like the soft focus. If you crop the third one wide and desaturate it a bit, it looks a lot better.

Monitors
I've seen a netbook play a game on a full HD monitor, so with a modern dedicated GPU there should be absolutely no problem. Here's a guide, I think the first Google result for it, should work as good as any. http://skattertech.com/2008/04/setup-multiple-monitors-in-vista/ (Changed that link, the first guide I posted only applied to laptops)
