  1. Not only that, but that's a shortened version of the full words if I understand it right.
  2. PSP... No. Just No. Why someone would pay for that I do not know.
  3. Gnarles Barkley - The Odd Couple (Album)
  4. Well, the first thing that comes to mind is to cURL them and use simpleXML, but I seem to remember that the URLs change or something, making that difficult... Also there is no light version of the GE.
  5. However you can't upload or use a signature that is more than the limit file size can you? Yes, you can actually. There is no mechanism for checking them built in, other than the image dimension check (Which does not take multiple images into account)
  6. 4.) A stereotypical label used to describe a person that is socially inadequate. A four letter word, but a six figure income. Seriously, look it up yourself: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=nerd What... It's on the censor... o_0
  7. The only place where there is a place to turn it on or off is the administration control panel. Moving it to the UCP would require a MOD, don't know how likely that is.
  8. It's not even a redesign, it's just making it smaller... And realigning the text a bit.
  9. Since when am I "Savi"? Go to the website of the movie/artist/game/etc. Because it is copyrighted, you are neither free to redistribute nor modify the pictures without permission from the author, and that's exactly what you are doing by using it in a signature. You seriously think that they are going to track down every case of usage? No, they stated that they didn't want distribution or modification by using a license that does not allow that. :wall: Yes indeed. However, I was talking about looks, not the actual menus and dialogues. And waste a month trying to figure out what the words on the menus mean? Not a good idea. Use GIMP for a month or more first, then try the trial version.
  10. How about this: You make your signature thinner and taller? :o
  11. Indeed it is. However, Photoshop is not necessary in all cases, especially for beginners or simple jobs. You work in the web design business? Well so do I as it happens, and I'll gladly use AJAX or JavaScript animation libraries, because they are things I am not capable of writing and the best ones are all under free licenses (BSD, GPL, LGPL etc.) and the authors want you to make good use of it. As Nadril said though, it's just an insult to the person who created it, the results are almost always so terrible. Yes, indeed I do. Hey, I'm going to put X program that you spent 5,000 hours programming up for grabs on the internet! It's okay, because I put it there for users to use! Yes, I have been on the website. GIMP is decent, and how does it "Use some of Photoshop's features in a bad way"? You honestly care about how your graphics program looks? It's the art that matters. If you have the skill already, or a certain amount of innovation, you don't need any tutorials at all. Who am I? I'm someone who has produced original work. Yeah, and pirated Photoshop is for the editing of images.
  12. Excuse me? Being free has absolutely nothing to do with which features a program can have. I could name quite a few programs that are free that are undeniably far superior to their proprietary counterparts. Beyond a certain level, what you can do with Photoshop or The GIMP is directly proportional to your skill and not the software license. GIMP is a good program to start out with. I would not go for Photoshop right away, it costs several hundred dollars for a legal license, and you don't know if you will need all of the features that even GIMP has. On the contrary, I would say that website is terrible because of all the pre-"Rendered" images. Other people worked hard, and it's their work you are taking and slapping on a signature, not your own. The best signatures are those that you made entirely yourself.
  13. ...But can you code? Some, but not a lot. But I plan on learning... And coding does not define geek, I'd like to think that sufficiently geeky things are also at work... ie D&D, which I believe that you don't play. D&D is optional. Coding (And knowing how use advanced Linux command line features) is not.
  14. That is so not fair. -.-
  15. It finished in a few minutes I'm just impatient.
  16. Yeh, those are the ones I was talking about. Could you link me? -I thought PB was shutdown? TBP has not been shutdown, and I'm pretty sure that you couldn't get a link here, it would be against the rules.
  17. Oh. :P "Preparing your desktop..." This is taking forever. Just show me the stupid OS. Ubuntu would finish in less than an hour virtualized.
  18. I used FF on the beta... Was one of the first things I installed actually.
  19. Yes, I've felt it, it's a normal thing called hypnic jerk. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnic_jerk ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falling_sensation )
  20. Don't believe this crap. The true nerds are way out of mode. You're talking about people who watch Battlestar Galactica. The people who watch things blow up on Mythbusters are definitely not nerds. Real geeks/nerds/whatever are the people who are up at 2am programming on their 10+ year old computer, on which they have some odd (Or normal, but heavily modified) flavor of Unix-like operating system filled with custom drivers. Or the people who get every single xkcd. Or the people who do calculus or read technical writing rather than be social. Geeks will never be "Hip".
  21. Exactly. What's it helping to ban him?
  22. It sounds like you've forgotten the fundamental concept of the internet.

Hey, you're back! I actually remember you (Probably because you left) Makes me wonder what happened to sheepdean.
