  1. Even without getting into other games, isn't $10/month the cost of a Netflix subscription?
  2. This is kind of the thing I was trying to get at, really. We already have complicated recipes that heal more than equivalent food. Nobody uses them because there is no reason to go through that much effort for marginally more healing than sharks or monkfish or what-have-you. Cooking's products are pretty one-dimensional in that regard, it'd be better for any multi-step recipes to do something unique that would justify the time it takes to make them.
  3. Kind of want to start a "Runescape skills tier list" thread solely to watch the fireworks. On a scale of 1-10, how many warnings would that get me?
  4. I'd argue that it would make more sense to keep fishing as the best for straight healing and just slap extra effects on to more complicated recipes, if only because it makes perfect sense for basic healing to be pretty accessible (never mind that you'd risk pushing fishing into FM-tier). Fish are pretty good in the boring-but-practical role, it's just that cooking is outdated everywhere else and doesn't have anything else going for it. I mean, it's currently a more complicated Herblore with a lot more steps and a pretty unpleasant fail chance even at high levels, maybe turning it into the noncombat equivalent of herblore would be the way to go, since there are already more than a few common foods in that niche.
  5. Not too surprising, considering Jad's accessibility and the Kuradal slayer challenge. Tzhaar bosses in general just seem tedious and not worth farming at all.
  6. [spoiler=Waste of time? No, no, nonsense]
  7. I always saw it as compensation for the ammount of work to get asc bows.Maybe, but it's a pretty big jump from handful of voyages and a number of guaranteed drops getting you a few months' worth of darts even before looking at the resource costs.
  8. I'm sure the update is all well and good but You can speed up ship repairs through the ships menu. This is the update of the year, hands-down. Nothing they have planned for 2015 can top this. Also seems like the new weapons are extremely expensive compared to just about everything else in ports. Do we know if they degrade?

    Today...

    With some more screenshots.
  10. Speaking from experience... Usually that just makes the bosses less eager to drop nice things, and the people crash harder
  11. These five words are a pretty big point in favor of removing it. It's just one requirement that people are so strongly against, and most of the people in favor of it are the ones who have it. I mean, it's not even really an argument anymore: they've more or less acknowledged that it doesn't fit with the rest of the requirements, and making an exception for it would eliminate the point of making that statement of intent and shuffling around some of the other requirements in the first place. And if they're going to back down on it only a few weeks after releasing it... Well, why did they bother in the first place? It's not weighing players' interests against each other, it's weighing a handful of players' interests against consistent application of the rules they made solely for that purpose. It shouldn't require this much discussion, and it's kind of disgusting that they're trying to frame it that way in the first place.
  12. Juuuust waiting for the Marth ones to get a rerelease.
  13. So much this. I mean, you could just buy into a better game for less at this point. I'll be out for good if I lose my current rate.
  14. Yay, didn't break anything. TNPW do their TNPW in ms paint.
  15. "It seems like this sword is too dank to use effectively.""Then let's BLAZE IT!!@"It's a very high-end design.

And all of this sort of came to a head with The Hobbit, which apparently can be cut into a single movie with all of his additions removed.
  17. So it's basically what the suggestions forum looked like a few years back? Some things never change~
  18. Hey, if you can sit through 200 hours of hunter, privacy is the least they can give you.
  19. Isn't this basically what we've been doing here for as long as there's been a HLF though?
  20. It is when you end up finding out that one of the big draws of the franchise didn't work.
