How does this compare to climber, though? You can hit 100k or so factor within 15 kills and it's always been pretty minimal effort.

I'm a bit worried about how it'll affect climber/endurance runs as well. A lot of their newer bosses are like that, where even the easy ones have mechanics that can waste time/supplies solely because of bad design. It's relatively under control in the quests where you just have to fight them once, but I'd hate to have to deal with them if they put Ruler of the Tower up for grabs again; that's already one of the most pointlessly tedious titles in the game to get and i say this as a huge Tower of God fan who will probably go for it anyway

[spoiler=Potential spoilers] Can I just say that I'm completely in love with the soundtrack? Origins and 2 both had their moments (In Uthenera), but this is the first game in the series where I've had to drop everything to try to figure out what song was playing.

Idea: once the cracker is pulled, you get the reward whether you were online or not?

I can't be the only one who's sick of them getting rid of user-friendly features because a handful of players told them it's more "prestigious" to get lucky or slog through broken mechanics for a couple hundred hours.

Which would only really mean something if Europe celebrated the holiday that the event was for.

I now know enough about color to be annoyed by complaints about blue/orange contrast. I get where they're coming from and it is annoying to see it everywhere, but it's really just devolved into neckbeards and Cracked writers (but I'm repeating myself) saying something is automatically terrible because they put their orangey-skinned hero against a blue sky, and not because of any real design flaws it might have... Or, you know, the fact that there are hundreds of very valid reasons to use it that any designer worth their salt would be aware of. I mean, hey guys, look at this creatively bankrupt garbage

I didn't care enough about the event to do it (and it doesn't really make sense for an English studio to do even that much for a strictly American holiday), just felt that it's kind of silly to bring up Europe's player population to justify scheduling an event only US players will care about (Unless our trans-Atlantic cousins want another food holiday?) during a time when most US players won't be playing. Would be cool to have them do just a generic Gielinor-flavored harvest holiday sometime in the fall, if anything.

Which just means that they ran a US Thanksgiving event almost exclusively for European players. That still has a fairly obvious issue, I think.

It consumes BXP lol Anything that consumes BXP counts as harmony pillar progress. I'm not sure if divine locations do. Have been doing hunter and div whenever those spots popped up in the resource dungeon and their pillars are as clean as they were when I planted them

It's just a bit jarring that they're pretty much the only boss that hasn't seen a graphical overhaul yet, really. Not a necessity by any means, but it would be cool to see one down the line.

I've never so much as looked at the series and I got the reference. It makes all the pony stuff in ports seem subtle.
