Bolts: Broad-Tipped, Addy, Runite
I reckon that you should use BT if you've got the time but a bit low on money, but Runite if you've got the cash. I think a more reliable test is in order. Try it out with 1000 each. Also tell us experience per hour, not hits.

New PvP, exactly how will it not be used to rwt?
Because a 138 in garbage armor won't yield crap for rewards. Jagex stated the rewards are based on the impressiveness of the kill. That means It'll have to factor the level difference AND more importantly the equipment. A 138 in bronze won't yield even close to the rewards of a 138 in AGS/Bandos. To a level 40 with full rune and scimmy, a level 138 would be a pretty impressive kill even when the latter is naked. I'm pretty sure to any level, a player with little - no equipment will not count as close to impressive, as it will look exactly as you're trying to make it. BH rewards extra money after so many kills, based on equipment. If you PK someone in 100m+ worth of equipment, that would count as an impressive kill. I'm pretty posotive jagex won't make it so a level 40 can kill a 138 with nothing on him for anywhere close to a good amount of money, or else that would bring partial RWT back.. which is what they're against. Now if the kill is based more on value of the items they have, no RWT'er is going to go in 100m worth of equipment to trade off a small fraction of that. [/hide] Small fraction? Jagex said they're gonna make "generous" tables - a higher level in, say, 1M equipment *should* net at least 500k, if not more... and if in the above situation, the level 40 kills the level 138 with good equipment? I wouldn't be amazed if he got as much as the guy originally had. Either way, they have to remove BH to make RWT advantages/disadvantages matter. That completely depends on the manner of the kill, you can't say that every kill should get 'at least' an amount. A player dropping millions may not end up transferring even 10K worth of wealth if it was an easy kill near a safe zone and the loser did nothing to defend him/herself. Just because they say generous doesn't mean they can't also be heavily restrictive as well. There's so many factors at Jagex's command. Then again, if it's a convincing and well done kill where both players fought to the best of their ability in an area where safe zones are far away, there might be a huge amount of value transferred. EDIT: Yikes, huge quote pyramid, I'll hide it.

Coming Soon... - Game Feedback Forum
Not, suggestions, compliments. It wasn't right to divide it up like that, it sends the message 'People who don't like us go over there where we can ignore you.' Ranters end up bouncing their anti-Jagex ideas off each other without any voice of reason; hence the sheer amount of spam. This is a good idea.

The portal to the RuneCrafting guild..
Wizards have a thing about placing portals high up in their towers. Think of the Magic guild.

Computers - Have They Gotten Too Advanced?
It's Kaphias, of course he was serious :P Speaking of macs I had the hardest time figuring out how to do some simple [cabbage] on there, just depends on what you were raised on. Agreed. I was spoon fed on a Windows 95 (It was awesome), so Windows is really natural to me. Plonk me in front of a Mac and it would take me much longer to do the same program, it feels unnatural. Of course, it's all to do with what my first experiences on a computer were on. I'm a Windows guy born and bred, Mac people, get over it.

Emo Music to be Outlawed
In Soviet Russia... The government criticises you! I'm all for freedom of expression, but then again I don't know how much of the emo trend has set in there.

Inmate claims he's to fat to put to death.
Agreed. Don't actually harm him, just let him live with what he has done for the rest of his life. And remind him of that.

New PvP, exactly how will it not be used to rwt?
Very well said - it's all just going to matter how they program everything. Thanks, I think that how they program it will drastically affect Runescape's future. They must not mess this up.

Possible locations for the 1% safe area?
They might even redesign the home teleport to function differently in pvp worlds, for all we know.

New PvP, exactly how will it not be used to rwt?
It's pretty easy to put in factors that would apply to legitimate PKers and not RWTers. For example, damage done both you and your opponent, level difference, the number of times you have killed this player before. Players killed whilst holding extremely high amounts of wealth won't give as much to the PKer, especially if they didn't fight back. This update can be much more secure than BH ever can be.

Guthixian Edicts
Eh? The portal in Meeting History is the World Gate? I'm not sure... The humans came through that portal, which means it leads to the original human dimension. The fact that the ancient elves didn't know about humans before the 'Meeting History' discovery, means that they originate from different planes. So the Elves coulnd't have come from that portal too, except if the portal could switch to what dimension it leads. Furthermore, I think the Elven world gate stood somewhere in Tirannwn, because the Elves never travelled over the Arandar Mountains before building their capital. So I think it's like this: Humans from human dimension through Meeting History portal in Asgarnia or Misthalin, Elves from Elven dimension through World Gate in Tirannwn. Interesting theory. So this is sort of like a repeating Universe, which is destroyed and rebuilt every time it loses balance of power? It sounds to me like a powerful god/s, be it Guthix, another god, a group of gods, or even all gods, intent on discovering the laws which define a truly balanced world: Sort of like a Utopia of balance. That sounds like the question "Can an omnipotent god create a stone it cannot move?" Is the Stone of Jas some kind of paradoxical object?

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
*facepalm* That was part of the RFD quest. The evil chicken mentions in the postbag that he eats chicken, so you offer that to his shrine to get into his lair.

Tip.It Times Presents: Why So Serious...
Mhm. It's been so overused, I'm not going to even read the article. Read it anyway, the article doesn't actually refer to it any more after that.

Tip.It Times Presents: Why So Serious...
Nice title. Yeah, it's a nice little debate and there's no 'right' side to it. I'm on the casual side, because I that's fun for me. That was a good read.

Possible locations for the 1% safe area?
I think it's probably all of the respawn points and all of the banks, including the Grand Exchange, and routes from every respawn point to the nearest bank. I don't think that Jagex intended us to look into that number so closely, they just mean a very small portion.

PVP worlds - Taking control of Areas
I am completely sure that links to pvp worlds will be located separately from non-pvp worlds. You know what Jagex is like (Ditch of Stupidity with a side order of warning signs, anyone?) with people getting killed because they aren't careful.

PVP worlds - Taking control of Areas
Ah yes, I wonder if they will re-introduce 'Skulling' like last time? It would be great if tip.it could establish a home spot on one of the PKing worlds.

The RS Stereotype
I don't care about the RS stereotype any more, it's not as strong as it used to be and will probably disappear in a few years. I know a lot of people who do much worse things in their spare time.

Who is God to YOU? (Not necessarily a Theist question)
I sometimes get that impression too, it really bugs me.

The government and its control over us.
He can eat a higher calorie intake without eating crap, but I'm still on his side. Try telling your school board or whoever is in charge that junk food can be part of a healthy diet in moderationIf you were to bring 15 donuts to school, that's a different matter. Junk food can help lower stress levels and make a person calmer, and what right does the school have to take that right to eat junk food away. I'm sure a few cookies a day at lunch isn't going to make everybody obese, which is what the school boards want us to think. Well, no, nothing is going to make you fat if in moderation, but junk food is still inadvisable for the purposes of weight gain. Why doesn't he just have junk food lunches during the weekend if he has to? More than two a week starts to go a bit further than moderation. I know it's bad that there are limits in this way, but I'm sure that something can be done about the underweight situation. Intentionally eating very high calorie foods every day will have some pretty bad side effects, and I'm not talking about getting fat.

15 Aug 2008 - Future PvP Updates
Are we all going to agree on the title: ~The Golden Age of Runescape~? I think it's catchy. I just love the idea that the two types of players (although there are hybrids of both) of Skillers and PKers get to leave each other alone in their separate worlds, and yet harmonise with each other, producing economical benefits for both. With the inclusion of the GE, I swear it's better than before the removal.

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
Yes, the 'Miniquest' design was successful, so it wouldn't surprise me. So, how many quests until quest 150?

PvP update : Revitalise skilling
The economy right now isn't broken, just differently normal. This update will however take it towards the direction of it's previous state. It worked then, so I'm fine with that. The Pker-Skiller partnership is going to come back, and it can't be anything but good. We do have an idea, what the 'victim' drops isn't going to be what the PKer receives, it's going to be a drop based on the impressiveness of the kill. So they won't go around getting inventories of yews just because they killed someone who did.
