  1. Well - considering the kid hadn't attempted to attack the officers - none of their lives were in immediate damage; shooting as an uncalled for action. Plenty of other options for those situations.
  2. So anyone outside the staff memberbase is dirt? Right :uhh: Staff are like anyone else - just with additional forum features when they need them. Sure you can get in trouble for abusing them and whatnot - but that does not mean you have to put them on a pedsetal or something :-?
  3. I personally suggest that you try to avoid portals as much as possible. Joomla is very good. And if you're saying it sucks - I'm willing to bet it's because you couldn't use it.
  4. In the TPL files (ie: template files) NEVER touch the .php files unless you're manually install a mod. /templaes// index_body.tpl message_body.tpl viewforum_body.tpl viewtopic_body.tpl Try them for a start. And it's your call on where in the HTML you want to paste the code - depends entirely on where you want the ad displayed. Top, buttom, side...
  5. 7 of them hardly constitute the need for a subforum :uhh: They appear in bulk - then nothing again for months (at least of that density).
  6. Shouldn't stop there - habitual divers should be fined and suspended each time they do. That or the club is fined. Either way it should be a "shape up or get banned till you stop" situation. Divers are the scum of the game :uhh:
  7. Excellent - phpbb... makes it easy :) Just don't paste the code in the overall_header and the overall_footer. Essentially any tpl that loads content. forum index topic body privmsg Mercifull could give you a better list - he sent me one but i can't seem to find it :(
  8. Please explain how they're going to shut down networks they don't even know exist? At what cost - they'd need thousands of additional staff to do that; and even then it wouldn't be effective enough. The number of hits that such websites get per day far outweighs the number of staff they'd need to do the same job (find content that breaks their TOS).
  9. As a matter of question - how many people have actually READ THE BOOK AND SEEN BOTH MOVIES? The first movie pissed on the book - the second actually does it justice.
  10. Definately not. Where the Lethal Weapon Quadrilogy ended is PERFECT. A fifth would just kill it all.
  11. More than the result of sueing them is worth. I really don't think companies think before chasing legal action sometimes.
  12. Effectively out of education and this is the first time I've heard of such a day..... :uhh:
  13. That's because it's the truth. "Yo Momma" jokes lasted about 2 weeks in my high school before no one gave a [cabbage] about them anymore. And those who kept them going always got "good stuff mate..... :uhh:" repsonses from everyone.
  14. Something like that - but your average DVD doesn't take up that much space now does it. Even a lot of boxsets don't hit that. And on the side - I much prefer my movies on idividual disks. At least then if something fubar's the disc, i still got the others. So don't try laying down the 'at least you'll only need one disc for multiple movies" bs (that's to anyone who's thinking of it). And I highly doubt "High Definition" movies (just one) is going to leech THAT MUCH space either.... data back-up anyone?
  15. I downloaded the latest Rocky movie off Google Video two days after it premiered  Google tends to take care of copyright'd material pretty damn quick when and or if they are notified of it. You seriously can't expect them to spider through thousands of uploads every hour just to make sure nothing new is in breech of copyright - that's insane :uhh:

My rouge was insane on Diablo. I snapped everything with my bow. I had like 3/4 of my skill points into dex
  17. Yea.. that's something I never understood - the cost of a warhead that's never going to get used, at least any time soon anyways, could easily fund a lot in Education... but the military must have their radioative balls to scratch :uhh:
  18. mate got me one of those 14 day trials a week ago; installed it 3 days ago - made my character two days ago (you can see where the enthusiasm is it). Atsila; lv 10 undead rogue on Bathilas or whatever? Usually the first suggested server for oceanic.
  19. I prefer the second; darker - as it should be.
  20. Hardly - just prefers those games over what the PS and Xbox offer. There's nothing fanboy about that :uhh:
  21. To play the card for the people still hanging onto it: "BUT GOD WOULD'VE STOPED THE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE GOING UP!lc"
  22. Hm.... Twlight Princess (Wii). Before that would've been BF2 (pc).

AoE is better. The concept of EE is good; but poorly implemented. And dsavi_x4 also hit a good point - it's a resources [bleep] well over what is recomended. The Epoch structure is nice - but what completely throws it out is the possible spread and ultimately makes it very easy to created VERY unbalanced gameplay. With most other RTS games which run on similar setups - they're more constrained and the technological spread is fixed so that those with the best can still be beaten by those who aren't quite there yet (ie: you don't get tanks going against bows and arrows in AoE like you can end up with in EE and such).
  24. I prefer seeing more of the active document than the taskbar. Anyways - hover over an item in the task bar and you get the tooltip with the full name pop up.
  25. @tripis: There's been a dutch private forum for a long time (unless it has been disolved). I'm for it if TIF ends up without members to justify it.
