Tanks are over powered.
But most tanks sacrifice offense for health and defense. They also can not heal by themselves and have little, if any, range capability. Range Tanks do not.

That would be kinda cool actually. And if the poisoned spears are made out of cheese, would you have to eat them to become ill?

20-Jan-2009 Seers Achievement Diary
Actually, Flax is worth 90 gp on the G.E. So that makes about 10800 gp per day. What a wonderful reward!

Newly uncensored word list
If our community was mature, then this would be a good update. Unfortunately, after marketing to lower age brackets for years, the majority is not. Though it may feel good to mutter the occasional expletive after becoming particularly vexed, this feeling is greatly mitigated by the realization that, in return, you will often see players spamming curses. Plus, we have a large player base with a small CS department. Even if claims that their service is not automated are true, with many players reporting words that they shouldn't to claim the coveted modship, some reports will be misconstrued. After all, we've already seen the occasional mute for starred out words or for things that, in context, are not at all offensive. Now, with the capability to mutter many curses, and having been forced to think of these things as taboo for years, overworked employees may mute or perma mute many undeserving players. Given that some parents view RS as a safe, inoffensive game for their younger children, this sudden change may cause them to rethink their evaluation. And, after already alienating the older customers with the stigmata that the game is for kids, Jagex may see a sudden drop in membership and F2P.

What is Jagex's greatest achievement?
More like in the crotch, though they still think they have the best game ever. I wonder why they didn't feel that kick... Because Runescape was created two years prior to WoW? And most who play it have no money, making it no consequence to Blizzard financially?

Stealing Creation Rant
You call THIS a flaw? Look at that. Just look at that. I went from 74 to 80 Smithing in a little under 4 days using Iron and Morphic Tools. I'm sorry, maybe I'm just old fashioned, but any minigame that gives a reward that good just isn't a flaw. Consider this: more than half of the rewards didn't work on release. Only Pkers and thieves got exp. The timer would bug in two out of three games. Need I go on?

"What the hell are they doing?"
Your not suppose to meelee Dust Devils?????? bunyip is way enough to stay healty, you might aswell use a rune defender for faster kills ;) Woman, I have tried to get a rune defender for AGES! 11,000 tokens blown NO JOKE and I'm up to an IRON defender. Wow you either have some absolutely horrendous luck or are doing something wrong I got 3 rune defenders within about 3k tokens. I found someone doing something stupid! You have to talk to the lady while having the current defender on or in your invontory. She says something like "congrats I will set the cyclops to drop the next defenders. =D> =D> #-o He knows. His defender is iron, not bronze.

Vote at GameFAQs BEST OF 2008: Best Running MMORPG
Sounds like an opinion to me. I could play any game - I chose Runescape.Aye you did. BUT. Many players choose WoW. Or Warhammer. Or Final Fantasy XI. And they pay for it. Three times what membership on Runescape costs. WoW has MORE players than Runescape's F2P and P2P combined. Heck, plenty of people who play Runescape do so casually, or just because it's free. As I said, Runescape's only pro is accessibility. And, yes, this is an opinion. It has to be. Anything that has to do with entertainment is, to a certain extent opinion.

Vote at GameFAQs BEST OF 2008: Best Running MMORPG
What about Warhammer: Age of Reckoning? Final Fantasy XI? That online Star Wars game? Face it: in a fair vote, Runescape would lose. The only thing it really has is accessibility. If my computer could still play WoW, I'd drop Runescape like a hot potato. And that goes for Age of Reckoning as well.

Weak Passwords Must Be Changed - 09-January-2009
It says to keep your password in a save place. Such as with a parent or guardian. When I read the latter, I imagined a thirty something, balding, man with thick glasses sitting in his basement reading this. He then shouts "Ma! I need you to keep my Runescape password safe!" "Of course, sweety." she replies "How many fish sticks do you want for supper? Four or five?"

The year 2009- What will it be for runescape?
Ugh, please, no more minigames. Some ARE fun. But most... aren't. And those that are fun seldom have good rewards.

I HATE CONTRUCTION
Update on Idiot Cull 2009: Thread: Super Admin Nomination Lure: Nominate someone for super admin and give a small paragraph Bait: (use the word rominate instead of nominate or you will be permaed, don't tell anyone) Culled: 200+ permabanned, including six moderators banned for a day (Which if you know Facepunch, just makes it all the more hilarious) See the destruction here: http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/show ... p=13123242 That's sick, disgusting, needlessly cruel, and has nothing to do with how intelligent a person is. Maybe he skimmed the article? Maybe he misread rominate as nominate because he was tired and it was late? This sort of thing does not make a good forum. [Hyperbole]In fact, it makes 4-chan appear as an organization devoted to brotherly love and goodwill towards man.[/Hyperbole]

Torso is NOT better then Adamant
This is true. Steel is nothing but a iron/carbon alloy. Further more, all but 98%, at least, of the alloy is iron. So, on an elemental basis, steel is simply iron whose fallen off the path of purity.

A Year of Summoning: A year in review.
Spirit Wolf's special is hit and miss, and most multi-combat areas are dangerous for under fifties. The rock crab's defense boost scrolls are probably not worth the inventory space and does NOT collect it's secondary. The snake's special is worthless- it digs three ore's in the time it takes to mine four. The scorpion is worthless. The problem is, most low levels, particularly newbies, won't have either access or charms to train summoning. So, when you can finally summon these familiars, their sub par abilities become even more so.

A fiery banner!
You know, I think I might have a reason for all these monthly banners; for the whole HD graphical update, Jagex needed artists for concept work, so they went on a headhunting spree. After, they only needed a handful for concept work of new updates and attempted to give the majority das boot. However, it turned out that, in his senility, Andrew Gower gave them tenure. So they set them to making banners, wallpapers, and inferior designs for inferior goods for inferior online stores.

A Year of Summoning: A year in review.
People say that summoning has completely changed Runescape, but has it really? Sure, it made things EASIER, but not so much was changed. Plus, a good number of summons are rarely, if ever, used. I'm not saying the ones that are used- Bunyip, War Tortoise, Terrorbird- aren't handy, but I really haven't used summoning much in my day to day play.

But how often do you get a pro team? Heck, I'm glad I found out about this now. I've never even played BA and really have no desire to- teamwork is as foreign a concept to most scapers as resistance is to the French.

January 6th 2009 - In Pyre Need
Ugh. You guys should have voted for the mammoth. Then we'd have gotten a quest were you aid an outwardly harsh, but actually kind mammoth, a clumsy, wisecracking sloth, and a double agent Kyatt who has a change of heart bring a Fremminik infant, over the icy northern tundra, back to his worried clan.

Creating new life in old places... But how/where?
M.E. Mini Exchanges. Scattered across the map in old centers of trade or in larger towns, these would allow players to buy and sell via the G.E. without going to Varrock. Put one in Pollinivich, Ardougne, Canifis, and Brimhaven. Voila! Suddenly, people have readily available banking and are no longer required to tele back to Varrock is something was forgotten.

It's been a year....
1.) Do you care if you can't have members anymore because Jagex can't accept credit cards and your region only offered that payment option? Oh wait, ignorant, I forgot. 2.) Coinshare/Lootshare. Monster hunting isn't dead because you're doing it wrong. 3.) I got a Rune Longsword as a present a year ago from a friend. I don't use it in combat, but it sits in my bank and I still keep it safe because it's the thought that counts. People who say "omg I cant have phr33 wips nemore" are the same people probably sitting around Varrok now spamming "barrowing whip, 20k per our" Hey, you, stop it. This thread was asking about how the trade limit has affected people and this man here is simply telling HOW it affected him. He probably realizes that it saved Runescape, but it still affects him. In my case, the trade limitations were surprisingly deal able. Oh, sure, due to faulty pricing and general design flaws, some items are hard/impossible to obtain through the G.E., and it HAS caused more flame wars amongst the community aside from the removal of PKing, but, day to day, I really haven't noticed it.

Catch-22,Deffered Appeals.
http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=728 Makes perfect sense. No one but you can see black marks, and the only time it matters is when your close to being banned, in which you will be able to do it, like the system says. Appeals are checked usually by bots, not jmods. It doesn't make much sense to me that I need to be closed to banned before I am given a chance to redeem myself. And jagex moderators can also see how many black marks I have, just so you know . Anywho, The system would suggest that innocent players have to endure the knowledge that they have been muted(or reprimanded) unfairly and that there is nothing they can do about it,seems unfair to me. Then either Jagex has some sort of Turing-beating superbots hidden in their towers, or they have a mod check over reports and simply automate the responses. In my experience they have always been accurate and true; I get stuck with things I really did, no matter how eloquent the appeal (yeah, I've tried), but they also clear up incorrect reports quickly. Really? It's always the opposite for me, I have been able to appeal 1 offence and it was denied, turned out "death to juice" is offensive language. That's because the Brits really, REALLY, love their juice.
