Before I became lactose intolerant, I used to drink tons of milk but now I drink soy milk so I don't have trouble. The way I link it to you is that it was because I was feeling unpleasant after drinking milk, and it took quite a long time before I realized. Soy milk is [bleep]ing disgusting. I started drinking it because some Asian girlfriend of my uncle's said it would get rid of my acne. Good thing he dumped her. I don't drink any soy milk, just some kinds, since the regular soy milk is disgusting, I drink those that have to be refrigerated, they're also more sweet then the usual ones, and the brand I drink is pretty much the only one I actually find to taste good.

I agree with buying the screen at the stores, or even better, at a local computer shop where you'll find better quality if it's a good computer shop, although most of those I went to were pretty bad, overcharing quite a lot and selling extremely low quality stuff. Actually, all the screens/tv I bought were at the store.

I have a friend that botted mining, got reset before 99, but he didn't care because he had 100M banked. But anyway, I thought it was already known here at tif that it was reset and not a bug.

Weird, on all the screens I bought (including LCD TV), I never got a dead/stuck pixel. I could try to count those I had in the past and those I have now.

Aspire is from Acer, not Asus. Why would you do a chkdsk? If it runs good without that, you can just wait and try to troubleshoot that problem after your final as you said you'd do. Misread. How long do you let it run for?

I agree. I buy my music, wich makes it extremely rare that I get new music, so before buying it, I will most likely go to a website like youtube to see, then download the album to see if it's worth buying. If I like the album, I buy it, but if I don't know I'm not even going to linsten to it, so doesn't matter if I delete or not. Btw mainstream music is not the kind of music I listen to, so the bands I listen to only get new albums every other year. With me their lost sale is if I don't have the chance to listen to the album first, since I won't know if it's actually mostly good.

Go to HP's website, and find your computer model, there should be a driver list somewhere.

You should be able to repair that with EasyBCD.

What version of Windows?

If it's a computer you won't move, the HDD will last longer, but if you tend to move the computer the SSD will last longer. But anyway, either will do for a very long time, maybe longer than the length of time you're going to use it.

I know my brother would rate them pretty low as well as his blackberry curve that was only 1 year had the usb plug on his went out with the power cord when he had recharged it. Company sent it for repairs but only to be returned because it was apparently not repairable.

Explain why it leaves the old versions of the software in the C:\Nvidia folder then? :rolleyes: It doesn't on Vista and 7.

The processor that OldJoe had pointed to was a Phenom 2 X4, which I think are pretty good and better than intel dual cores for the price.

Well, let's start with the bad experiences. First, there is the HP that I have that is now 5 years old. When it had Windows XP on it it would keep crashing, especially the programs. When I installed Vista (a few weeks after SP1 had got out), all the problems went away. I haven't had a crash and it ran faster under Vista and still does to this day. Dells, omg... I've had a lot of bad experiences with them, well, actually friends and I, and also at work. First the hard drive in one of my friend's laptop failed after only 3 months. Same thing with the screen of another of my friends, it was after 2.5 to 3 months. Right now, at work, out of the 11 new Dell Optiplex 980 they put there for us to use when we work, 2 of them had their motherboard changed because they had failed, and one of them has BSODs at least once every 2 weeks. This is what I call high failure rate. Since at work the computers are all Dells, no wonder that one of the IT guys commented that it was frequent that there was a failure. Now on the good experiences. 2.5 years ago I bought my Asus laptop, which has been extremely solid and still surprises me to this day with it's quality. Battery still lasting 3/4 as long as it used to when it was new, which I find fun because I don't have to buy a new one when I go on trips, to different things like de DVD burner that was able to burn on dual layer dvds that some of my friend's laptops couldn't even take. It also has HDMI and eSATA which was pretty rare to find directly on a laptop in the times I bought it. The only problem I had with this laptop was the ATI video card. What happened, is that the drivers and the catalyst center would crash, and very often, even sometimes giving me BSODs. At least it wasn't more than once a week that was happening, until I installed windows 7 Pro on it. Still crashes from time to time, but it's pretty rare now. I am by no means an Nvidia fanboy, but this is part of what put me off ATI/AMD cards. Better cards, but worse drivers. Next, the computer I built. In a few months, it's going to be 1 year old. I have also chosen the best time to build it as right now it would cost more to build it than it did at that time. I have chosen parts that I knew were of quality, and I have not regreted it, except not buying more than 4GB of RAM, since right now I'm close to upgrading it to 8GB, and maybe to 16GB in a few years. I have Windows 7 Ultimate on it and it has never crashed and the 9800GT I have in it never failed me. Also it suprised me how much power the i3 processor has over the Athlon dual core that I have in the 5 year old HP, the difference is amazing. As for printers, my 5 year old HP printer and my parent's 10 year old HP printer never failed us and never had error except for my parent's one before I told them they had to install the driver, after they had had Windows 7 put on it. Wow kinda went further than I thought I would be going, but I hope it was a good read to some of you.

I thought downloading and uploading were both illegal but they were only going after the people that upload?

Of course in his case it's best to, but saying that they won't work if he doesn't do that is untrue.

Since when do you have to do that? I never did that and my driver has never crashed since I have my card.

If the computer makes noise, the fan is going fast, if it's making more noise, the fan is going faster.

You won't be saving any money if you replace a 60W by a 60W. Though, a fluorescent 13W is as strong as an Incandescent 60W, so this is where you would be saving money. There are fluorescent bulbs that have an out layer made for them to look like the old ones.
