I'm getting sick of this too, it's a terrorist attack that killed lots of people, you all cry for that, but when it's about the people dying because of the war in afganistan, you don't shed a tear. Get over it. Also, I think more people died in that war than the number of people that died in that "terrorist attack".

I agree on the fact that MSE should be more advanced, but I guess it's not the stripped down version of One Care for nothing. And about it taking a bit more cpu sometimes, I really didn't notice it doing that on my laptop, is there special cases where it does that or it's just random?

As I've been saying since they got better, they might not slow the computers anymore, but the detection rate still is very bad.

AVG has a pretty bad detection rate since mid-2008, I would go with Avira Antivir or Microsoft Security Essentials.

Yeah, there's the Lancer, which is the car I'm going for when I finish paying my student loan, which will probably only take a year or 2 to pay, or you could do like me and have a Toyota Echo as first car, mine is 2002, might not be a sports car, but it's manual and beats my brother's civic hands down on the performance side. Also a 6 speakers sound system, which is pretty nice. Only problem is finding one within your specifications as for how new it is, as it's been a few years they didn't make them. For durability I find it's one of the best, seeing as mine is 275k Km with 2 accidents and still rolling like new. Almost never needed repairs either. Other than that, there's some Subaru's that look pretty good as well.

What? I have ABP too and it has never happened to me, although I'm using it with Firefox which blocks the ad and doesn't just hide it like in Chrome.

Scan for viruses as well as a scan with Malwarebytes. That's most likely what happened.

Is your drive a DVD drive as well?

Recuva might help for the cache, but for the bookmarks, no. But why do you need the cache? All you really need is the bookmarks, plus you know what sites you usually go, so just google them.

Not the right one to suggest, it has pretty bad detecting rates, but I could go look around and see which good ones run on those old computers.

Lol, saying to use stuff as old as 6u7 is pretty much not a good idea -> there are too many differences/new stuff that Jagex might be using that's not in those old versions. Especially since now it's 6u21.

No, what you do will be saved in the folders you choose to save them. As for torrents being untrustworthy, I think that's pretty rare as I would be surprised if people seeded viruses.

I ran Vista longer than I ran Windows 7. In fact, I'm still running Vista on 1 of my 3 computers. I've ran into much more bugs with Windows 7 than I did with Vista. Plus I didn't notice any performance difference appart from the sidebar. To me, that last computer isn't worth upgrading. The laptop I upgraded (well, clean install) because I wanted to try it, even then, I tried the beta on the laptop and it worked pretty well, but I previously had Vista 32 bit, which was slow compared to 64bit. Old desktop runs vista, and I didn't shut it down for the last 30 days, and yet, still no sign of slowing down, neither is there of lag or bugs. Windows 7 is capable of this too btw. Other desktop, I built it 5 months ago, so Windows 7 being the current OS and the one to buy, that's what I got, Windows 7 Ultimate for the desktop, while the laptop has Pro. That's just part of the opinion of why I think Vista is pretty good. It was good since SP1 came out. Before that, Vista really was the buggy one.

Plus Norton is one of the worst antiviruses on detection rates :S.

Vista Does not suck, it's as good as Windows 7. Have you taken note of the error message and code from the blue screens? I know you said scheduler, but it shouldn't be incompatible, at least not for the last versions of Java. Have you updated your graphics drivers?

There's your problem. You can either keep Norton and get Malwarebytes and scan with Malwarebytes too, but I would advise on changing Norton for either Avira antivir or MSE.

Ah, that's why some Norton products suck, especially the antiviruses.

$10.25 here in Ontario. I make $1.30 over that, but still feel underpaid. Nice :). Here in New-Brunswick the minimum wage is $8.75, which I did have to work at this summer, until I got a job in my domain, as I said, and now I make ~$17 an hour.

About those not getting jobs, a trick to get a job faster is to call the week after you handed the resume to know if they're still interested in you, as this will show that YOU are interested in working with them. Also, it is better to bring them in the mornings, and from Tuesday to Thursday.
