Wow, that was fast! :) The bestiary still isn't working properly though. Is that going to require an update now, or have you just not gotten around to that one yet? They haven't been uploaded yet.

They do sword-fighting or whatever in the park up the street from me. It looks incredibly badass :P

All of your bugs (+ a few others) have been fixed and are awaiting uploading. Thanks :) The style modifications are going to have to wait a bit, though.

I'm trying to install a DS on my webserver, but it's being stupid :( The actual game is still downloading though..
-
Fixed and thank you! 8-) What about all of the other problems? Can we expect those to be fixed in the next few months? ...or years? The problem with the bestiary should be able to be fixed without an update, even. Right now it really isn't even usable, so that's something that needs to get fixed ASAP. Same problem with the suggestions thread. I still haven't seen a comment about whether or not any of my ideas are being considered for the next update. Oi, no need for the attitude. The spelling error was something anyone could fix, which is why it was. I'm pretty much the only one to fix the actual issues with the code, and I've been freakishly busy lately. I'll take a look later tonight, and yes, it can be fixed without an update.

I've always felt sorta detached from the popular way of thinking. I just think that, as a species, we have so much potential, but we choose to squander it for the security of what's known and familiar. Mostly I'm talking about space/the rest of the universe. Probably comes from too much scifi. :P [/deep]

Installing them via synaptic is probably the easiest option. You want to go to System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager (or something like that, I don't have it in front of me atm) Ctrl + F for sun-java6 and you're going to want sun-java6-jre, sun-java6-plugin, and whatever dependencies come along with them. And to type a command, I'm guessing you mean a terminal, which is at Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal (?) The box that pops up in a folder (I think this is what you mean) is just for searching for a file/folder.

Fatboy Slim - Don't Let The Man Get You Down Fatboy Slim is awesome :P

Seconded. Excellent piece of software.

I have a few throwaway ones I use for sites I either don't trust or am rarely going to use. Then there are two that are 15-digit hex strings that I use for more secure things that I use often, but still need to remember a password for, and anything super-important (banks, servers, other stuff with actual money/credit card info) is a freakishly long random generated one I use with keepass. None are actual words though.

Looking for an extremely lightweight Linux distro
Errdoth replied to dsavi's topic in Tech and Computers
Damn Small would be my first preference, but some other ones you might want to take a look at are: Slackware (486 or better CPU, 32MB of RAM minimum, 500MB of free disk space) Vector Linux (32mb ram, 1gb harddrive space) loldinosaurcomputers. :P -
I remember playing this a while ago. Ended up getting stuck on number 11, it looks like :| Some awesome ones: http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=440982 http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=822567 http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=1041755

Yeah...nothing could be more awesome than zombies in space. If I get my [wagon] in gear I might be able to make it for nano, but probably not. (all of my stories start out the same :( [though this is first-person, so it's a bit different, I guess]) ---- Nothing had changed. I stepped out of my chamber and turned to face the brushed steel of its door. Nothing had changed. Seventeen years I'd been in that cold metal box, but to my mind and my body, not a day had passed. Technology was weird like that. I'd been a sleeper. Some of, in fact, most of the others had opted to be placed in a virtual world for the entire trip. Not me, I just slept. It was easier that way. They had strict re-insertion policies for the sleepers, I was brought out of biostasis a month before everyone else, to spend that entire time lying in bed with a neural link feeding me everything important that had gone on while I was sitting in that box. I remember walking over to the terminal, breathing the same filtered air, walking on the same cool tiles with my same bare feet. My toenails hadn't even grown. I mashed the keyboard, and the screen flickered to life. The same clips. Over and over. These...these people, people who were once my friends, my colleagues, my relatives I don't even know what they were, or if they were still people at all. I watched for what seemed like hours, these mutilated, yet still recognizable bodies, just...just ravaging the entire ship. Corridor after corridor, row after row, feasting on my friends; ripping some limb from limb, yet leaving others to die from the huge bites in their necks and sides. These were the people who had spent the trip in the virtual world. I wondered what it was like for them, to die in one world while their mind was alive in another. The thought passed, however, as the screen switched to a new feed. This video was not like the others. It was grainy, and it was moving. The camera passed down the twelve-thousand hall, my hall, and stopped at chamber 12931, my chamber. I could see light coming in through the small window in my door. The video was live.

Well, it turns out that he got ripped and ended up with a crappy version that didn't have the new taskbar :| It looks, runs, and feels like vista. He's going to try to find another one now :P Tell you "friend" to enable the new features. You sir, are awesome. I still don't like it much more than vista, though. :|

This is the mozilla page on the error. I dunno what else it is, if not conflicting addons. What's your firefox version, and have you tried the greasemonkey user script instead? Only on P2P world/page thingies, it removes that Jagex bar to conserve screen space. (Which isn't against the rules, I checked :P ) Choose the option to Save As, and save it to your desktop or wherever, then, in Firefox, click File -> Open File -> Navigate to where you saved the extension and double click it. That should bring up the install prompt. And yes, there was an update button, but some...ah....complications arose. We're working on it :| When Firefox restarts it saves your current open tabs, so it's probably just opening the tab where you downloaded it from again, so it shouldn't be a problem if you just close the tabs, though I'm not entirely sure what you're asking =/ Also: 1750 downloads! Wooooohooo!

Then why bother posting at all? It's funny because he totally doesn't get it, amirite?

Do people even use Linux? Doesn't matter. He was comparing hardware to software, which is what the OP's picture was doing as well. And yes, quite a fair amount of computers and devices run linux.........
-
Mac is an operating system. PC is not. How many viruses is linux getting, eh?
-
Either one will work
