Thought I'd post a new sig I made Here are the Images I borrowed (stole) to make it. Any comments, C/C, etc. appreciated :)

Well as I see it, he isn't bright seeing as he needed to copy your work. Therefore, if you are obviously more intelligent than this kid (which I assume you are as he picked you to steal work from) and this teacher has been teaching you for a sufficient amount of time, the teacher will be able to deduce that it is your work and not his. If this doesn't work out, well I guess you've learnt a valuable lesson (which, I imagine, isn't really consoling for you at this present time).

Yes, I notice that sometimes, although it is logical that it becomes incresingly harder to be completely original. On the other hand, a lot of these movies as a whole do normally go down a different road to the other movie. So it's only aspects of story lines that tend to be repeated (I'm talking about the relatively enjoyable ones here, there are a lot of movies that are completely unoriginal).
-
Well I think really good movies (which all of that list are in my opinion) only come around every so often. I mean I've enjoyed watching many others, though their impact hasn't lasted on me so much. I have to say I don't think they are really any less frequent than before ten years ago. Then again, our opinions of what movies were good may differ.

I would disagree with much of your post, below are some of what consider to be quite original movies made within the last ten years from the top 250 off IMDb: The Lord of the Rings trilogy Memento (2000) Fight Club (1999) The Matrix (1999) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) Hotel Rwanda (2004) Sin City (2005) Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) Hot Fuzz (2007) The Sixth Sense (1999) The Green Mile (1999) V for Vendetta (2005) Gladiator (2000) Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) The Big Lebowski (1998) Snatch. (2000) Shrek (2001) Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) Shaun of the Dead (2004) as well as some that aren't on the IMDb top 250: o brother where art thou (2000) City of God (2002) Lucky Number Slevin (2006) eXistenZ (1999) (Probably more but that's all I can think of at the moment) I don't really care for a lot of television now either, although i don't like much of the older stuff either. I listen to a lot of older music, but there are still some talented musicians around. I don't play video games much, so I can't really say much on that.

I really like it. Quite unique which for me is one of the most important things about a sig. Nothing really to critisise from my point of view.

Well I'm not fussed really as long as it's not a pixel theme. -
How technically ingenius music is doesn't really matter to me. I think I'm attracted to music that has a certain feel to it. It's quite hard to describe but I like a song that feels like the music means something. Not necessarily meaningful as in the sense of having a deep thought provoking feel, just that it has it's own style. As for genre I like at least something from pretty much every genre, though most of the music I listen to has an element of rock to it. EDIT: I guess another way to put it would be music that strongly puts an image(s) into my head in many cases.

Guess I'll enter :) -
My favourite drink is coke and condensed milk. below is the rough ratio... and then stir. A guy from Cuba showed me this.

Why not? DAMMIT I always save as jpg... It distorts the image, .Jpg tries to make the image more blended and stuff, but it just makes it fuzzy and look like crap. Use .Png or .Gif. Jpg. is fine for anything but pixel sigs. Anyway, I would suggest taking a look at other programs such as Photoshop or if you want a free program, gimp.

Molotov is one of my favourite bands and they're from mexico so most of their lyrics are in Spanish (though there is often a mix of English and Spanish).

I'll enter, though I've never done a collaboration before. Will someone just go off and do half the work and then send me the pic and I'll finish? (or vice versa). -
I used to keep washing my hands, and when reading a book if I understood the last sentence but forgot the wording of it, I still had to look back and read it again. I've got over these for quite some time now, though I'm a perfectionist when I'm working on somthing that I'm passionate about, which I guess is being a bit obsessive.

I like snakes and find them very interesting and I've leant a bit about them from Animal Planet as well as the internet. Unfortunately we don't get many over here in England :(
-
I used to collect key-rings. Got a few hundred of them I guess, got them hanging on the wall. And yes that is pretty stomach churning, even though they're clean.
-
I think the thing I said in your first photo manipulation applies here. There doesn't really seem to be much of a concept and you've just changed the colours and added scan lines without much of a reason. also, it's quite nice to see the original as well.

This Guinness one I reckon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcdhDOdg7wA most Guinness ads are pretty good.

I have to say I've not got much of an idea on how to improve the green one. All I can see is that it needs more to it, just try experimenting with it if you want to carry on with it. -

Ozzy_Patrick replied to Kuroi_Ame's topic in Art and Media
To be honest I prefered the concept of the green one you posted, kind of retro. It just needed improving in my opinion. This sig seems a bit unoriginal and looks like many other sigs I see around. Anyway a few things things that could be improved: - The techy kind of shapes don't really go with the grungier feel of the sig. - I couldn't tell what the render was until I saw the whole image [edit - didn't see Nazgul's post before I posted so it seems like it's not just me]. - That font is a bit unclear at that size. - The background could use a little more depth in my opinion. -

Nice, I thought that the text was your weak point in a lot of the other sigs that I've seen of yours but it's been improved a lot in this one in my opinion. Not much to crit but what is the address to this PR forum that you talk about?
-
The text needs work in my opinion, the effects on the main text are a bit tacky and the subtext seems uncomfortably close to the corner. Also, the render is blended in so much that I find it hard to comprehend.
-
The perspective is wrong I'm afraid. Your diagonal lines are parrallel to each other. Instead, they should be heading towards a vanishing point on the horizon. (crappy diagram by me)
